Narrator's POV

Daehyun wordlessly knocked on the cottage door after Key had somewhat glamorously disappeared from their sights yet again after announcing their supposed next mission. 

"Let's just get this over and done with," Daehyun sighed and Sooyeon kept silent, feeling dumbfounded. She pondered over Key's words -he'd mentioned Cinderella.

What is Cinderella like? she wondered. Maybe she's more decent than those blokes we ran into before...

Her thoughts were disrupted when the door opened and she straightened up next Daehyun, the two glancing at each other for, what seemed like moral support. Heaven knew they had to be strong to get through this together. To make things worse, they shared mutual dislike for each other, although Daehyun didn't really show it. He was excellent at masking his emotions, putting on a flirty facade to hide his true feelings. It puzzled Sooyeon, honestly. She was unnerved at his open display of fake affection.

It goes to prove just how conflicting their personalities were. Sooyeon was a whirlwind of emotions, more specifically negative ones, whereas Daehyun was a a blank space. He smiled, laughed, yes - but how sincere were those emotions?

Soon enough, a pretty lady dressed in a commoner's clothing stood by the door, eyeing the two foreigners in front of her warily. She was indeed beautiful, but her expression was guarded - in modern terms, she looked like a b!tch.

Daehyun blushed at her appearance -she was that gorgeous.

The girl raised an eyebrow at Daehyun's killer stare, not even fazed a bit. Sooyeon was about to speak when she beat her to it.

"Yes? May I help you?"

"U-Uh..." Sooyeon paused midway, and racked her brains for an excuse. 

, Daehyun! You just had to knock on the damn door before I even planned anything!

"Wait, are you here to be the new maid? And the man?" 

Daehyun caught sight of a piece of paper nailed next to the entrance which stated "Helpers-For-Hire" and nodded in response.

And then he transformed into 'Charming Prince Daehyun' mode and smiled dashingly at the girl, before bowing. Sooyeon followed suit, watching Daehyun's actions carefully. This guy is... so smooth. But then again, that's not really a surprise.

Sooyeon expected her to smile at them or at least let them in, but the girl merely looked at them coldly, which put Sooyeon sightly on edge. The girl's eyes were sharp and it made her unnerved.

"JESSICA! Who's at the door?" a voice cried out, and the girl at the door got pushed aside rather rudely.

So her name's Jessica? our two mains thought at the same time, watching the scene in front of them in interest.

Two more ladies appeared before them, smiling from ear to ear. "Welcome, we trust you'll do your jobs well. Come in, come in!" the taller girl ushered them in to address them properly.

"H-Hi. We're here to apply for that -" Sooyeon began, but 'Jessica' cut her off.

"We know. Just tell them your names."
