“For how long should we dance like this?” Amber rested her chin on his shoulder as she felt his warm embrace. The romantic music was still playing through the CD player

“I don’t know. Stay like this for a moment, your body suits in my arms.” He tightened his hug on her

She chuckled, “Hey, I’m hungry.”

“Let’s do rock, paper, scissor.” He let go of her body and gave the suggestion for both of them and Amber agreed with him…

“I WON!!” Amber shouted and jumped, it pissed Kris off enough

He looked at her while he crossed his arms in front of his chest. “No, no, no, the winner should cook for both of us.”

“WHAT?!?!” She shouted out loud, she glared at him

“I forgot, I didn’t tell you the rule before.” His head got closer to hers as he gave her one big grin. Then, he patted her hair smoothly, “I’ll be waiting for you at the downstairs.” He just got out of her bedroom…

She made an annoying face behind him as she followed his step. “I’ll put poison in your food~”

“You have to eat it first, Ambiee~” Kris was chirping too just like her. He didn’t take any glance to her but he smiled

….

She looked for Kris after she served the dish for them on the dining table. She opened the living room door, “Kris, want to have lunch now?”

Kris who was playing video game just replied her by saying, “Five minutes more.”

Ding Dong

Amber closed the living room door and walked towards the main door of the house coz she heard the doorbell chimed.

She was shocked, her eyes opened widely but she tried to put a smile although it looked weird. “KRYSTAL! LUNA!!” She shouted out loud in order that Kris who was still in living room could hear her voice

“Why are you coming here????” She kept shouting in front of them

“We heard from Tao and Luhan that you cried. Are you okay, Amber?” Luna asked her

“I’m alright now…” She chuckled awkwardly

“Can we come in?” Krystal questioned her in English

“Huh? Oh, of course.” She gestured them to come in to the house. “I’m surprised that you guys are coming to my house, KRYSTAL, LUNA..”

Krystal and Luna saw her with weird eyes. “Hmm, have lunch first, let’s go. I just made it on the dining table.” Amber motioned them to the dining room.

As they sat on the chair, Amber excused first. “I’ll be right back.”

She moved to the living room to see Kris who was hiding behind the sofa. “Hey! You go to your room now!”

He was in shock as he saw her. “Oh! You..” He ran to her. “They’re having lunch?? I’m hungry, Amber…” He whimpered

“I’ll make one for you later. GO!” She left him. “Don’t forget to lock that door.” Then, she went to the dining room again.

“What did you do just now?” Krystal asked her as she enjoyed the lunch

“Uh, rats! Yeah, this house is dirty, I don’t know why but they’re gone already… I just shooed them, don’t worry.” She smiled

“Hey, can we see you bedroom??” Luna asked her

“Bedroom?” Amber asked her back. She thought that her bedroom was safe, there was no any evidence about her wedding with Kris. “Sure. C’mon.”

They went to Amber’s bedroom on the upstairs. Krystal and Luna were amazed by Amber’s huge bedroom and luxury bed. “Wah! You must be happy living in this mansion.” Luna dropped herself on Amber’s bed. Amber just smiled and nodded

“Hmm, Amber, I hear something’s wrong from another room beside yours.” Krystal said feeling suspicious

“Uh, that’s a warehouse. It must be mice.” Amber grinned. “But I’ll check it first.” She got out of her bedroom and went to Kris’ bedroom which was locked but she had the key too

“KRIS! What are you doing?!” She approached him. “You’re making noise and Krystal has suspicious feeling!”

“Eavesdropping.” He said without any guilty feeling.

“AMBER!!” They both heard Luna and Krystal’s shouting. They both looked at each other’s eyes

“What’s that??” Kris asked with big eyes. “I don’t know. You stay here.” Amber said then, she ran to the door in a rush.

She saw her friends right in front of Kris’ bedroom door. “Guys..”

“We need your explanation about this.” Krystal said as she showed the small wedding picture of her and Kris. “We found this in your drawer.”

“And this ‘Amber Loves Crispy’. What’s this, Amber?” Luna brought the photo album and Amber’s handwriting.

Amber heaved a sigh then, she knocked on Kris’ door. “Kris, I need you to get out.” She said then, Kris who eaves dropped them, got out of his bedroom.

Krystal and Luna were shocked seeing Kris got out of the room and stood beside Amber. He gave them a smile and it melted them as they saw his appearance. “Hi, girls.” He greeted them

“Well, so you guys are…” Krystal paused as she pointed them with her index finger, she was still bewildered. “Married couple? According to this picture… Is that true?” She asked them both

“You’re hiding this from us. I thought we were best friends, Amber.” Luna said

“I’m sorry… I didn’t intend to hide this from you guys..” Amber apologized

“Don’t hate her just because of this. This is arranged marriage.” Kris explained as he circled his arm around Amber’s shoulder. “Hope you guys are still best friends after you know the truth of us.”

“Hmm, is there anyone else who knows about this?” Krystal asked them

“Yeah, Luhan and Tao.” Kris answered them

“Wow! What a coincidence!” Luna shouted in happiness then, she approached Amber. She brought her into her hug. “We’re still best friends of course.”

“Thank you.” Amber thanked her with smile

“Ah, so this is why Mr. Perfect never got a girl?” Krystal glanced to Kris. “Because he has a wife already.” It made everyone giggle

“Have you guys kissed before?” Luna asked them in English. “It seems like you’re sharing everything including your first kiss.” Luna opened the page of Amber and Kris’ first kiss. It made them blush and feel awkward towards each other.

“I’m hungry.” Kris shifted the topic

“I’ll cook again.” Then, Amber and Kris went to the downstairs while Luna and Krystal giggled behind them

“They make cute couple, right?” Krystal whispered to Luna

“Yeah, and they like each other..”

“Amber, do you know what day is today?” Kris asked her while he drove the car to the school in the morning

Amber who was busy putting make up on her face just gave him an answer. “Tuesday.”

“Tuesday? The date?” Kris asked her again

“November 6^th.” Then, she looked at him who was driving. “What are you asking me this question? What’s wrong with you? Are you sick so you forget about days in this century?” Amber asked him many questions as she placed her palm on Kris’ forehead.

“I’m okay…” His voice sounded disappoint

“Just tell me if there’s something wrong with you, okay?” Amber felt worry then, Kris just nodded…

When they were reaching in front of the school gate, Amber got out first. “See you later in the class.” She gave him a sweet smile

“See ya.” Kris drove the car into the school and parked it while Amber walked towards the school

Amber walked to the class, suddenly, she saw many girls headed to her class. She didn’t know what happened but they all reached Kris who came first to the class.

“KRIS!! KYAA!! KYAAA!!” The girls shouted out loud. Amber couldn’t comprehend them at all because they shouted out loud and made noise everywhere. She just waited until all the girls got out of the class so, she could sit beside Kris..

She saw many gifts on his desk. “Wow, there’s mountain on your desk.” She said with flat tone

“Girls…” He chuckled as he put them down from his desk to the floor.

After the class ended, they all got out of the class. Kris and Amber headed to their locker to take books for next class. As Kris opened his locker, suddenly, many gifts popped out of his locker. He whimpered when the gifts hit his feet coming down from his locker. He picked them all then, headed to his car to put them into it.

When Amber was in the basketball court after school, she met Krystal and Luna. “Oh, hey, guys!” She sat between them two on the bleachers. “What are you two doing here?”

“I’m supporting Luhan.” Krystal cheered

“I’m here for Tao.” Luna said then, she asked Amber. “You want to see Kris, right?”

Then, Amber’s eyes spotted Kris who was surrounded by girls in the middle of the court. “I don’t know why I’m here.” She heaved a sigh as looked at her husband

“Look, you don’t want to lose from those girls, right? You have to grab his attention.” Krystal assured her

“This is special day for Kris. What have you done to him? Do you give him special gift?” Luna asked her then, it made Amber confuse

“Special? What day is today? It’s just Tuesday.” Amber said still in confuse

“It’s not only Tuesday but also it’s his birthday.” Krystal said as she glared to Amber

“You don’t know his birthday?” Luna asked her straightforwardly

“Oh, uh… I gotta go.” She stood up then, she got out of the basketball court. She walked through the corridor and thought how stupid she was that she didn’t know about Kris’ birthday. She picked up her phone then tried to call Tao. “Hey, tell Kris, I go home first.”

“But why? You don’t want to watch him today?” Tao asked her. “Amber, he’s very blissful now, me and Luhan just gave him new gadget that he wants all this time for his birthday. What do you give for him?”

“Tao, I must go now. Tell him don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine. Good luck for the game.” Amber sounded in a rush then, she hung up the phone. She took a bus to her house…

“Kris, Amber said that she would go home first.” Tao told Kris

“What!? Why?!” Kris said and he looked worry about her

“’Tell him don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine. Good luck for the game. YAY.’ She said that to me on the phone.” Tao continued. “Umm, except for the ‘YAY’ actually. She sounded in a rush.”

“Tsk! Okay…” He was disappointed.

“Why? What’s wrong with you today?” Tao asked him as he circled his arm around Kris’ shoulder

“She doesn’t know my birthday and she doesn’t watch me today.” Kris said to him

“Chill, bro…” Tao tried to calm him down as he patted Kris’ back

After the game ended, even though Kris’ team was the winner for today, Kris felt sad because Amber didn’t see his winning shot and she didn’t celebrate his team’s winning together. But the saddest thing for him was she didn’t know his birthday and just went home without saying anything to him…

Kris drove his car to the house in the afternoon after the tiring game. When he was reaching the house, he opened the door and found the lights were off…

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!”

When the lights were on, he heard a noise voice as the confetti splashed to his body.

“Happy birthday, Kris.” He heard Amber’s voice and he saw her as she approached him. She brought the birthday cake for him.

“Make a wish first, come on.” Amber had him make a wish and he did it. Then, he blew the candles.

“Make up? Mini dress?” Kris was confused seeing her

“It’s all for your birthday.” She smiled in front of him

“My birthday? Really?” He made sure

She heaved a sigh then, she handed the birthday cake to Sunny. She started to speak for him. “I’m sorry because I don’t know that today is your birthday. You never told me about this. I and all the servants make this little surprise party for you, I hope you like it. And…” She paused

She turned around then, she brought her present for him. It made him surprise as he saw the present. “Two doves?” He asked

She nodded. “I can’t give anything that you want just like all the girls in the school, I know they all like you, even they’re like your stalkers because they always follow you everywhere around the school or maybe just like your best friends Tao and Luhan who give you your favorite gadget or something…”

“Oookaay… So, why do you give me them?” Kris pointed his index finger to the doves in the cage

“Because… I think… They’re like us now.” She bit her bottom lip, she couldn’t stare at Kris’ eyes. “I bought female and male doves… The male is you while the female is me and…” She paused again then, she saw his eyes.

“Kris, please don’t stare at me with that gaze! I’m trying to for the proper words for you!” She pouted as her face became red because he began to see her with his y y face

“Just go on. You make good words.” He chuckled

“I hope that we can be together in a good way. Take care of each other, not only… You’re the one who take care of me…” She couldn’t continue her sentence, she was surprised because suddenly Kris approached her and hugged her very tightly in his arms.

“Thank you, Amber.” He smiled as he rested his chin on her shoulder. He whispered her, “I like you so much. What about you?”
