“What are you looking at?” Luna was curious coz Amber couldn’t take her eyes off of her cell phone. She took a peep to Amber’s phone then, she found many Kris’ sleeping pictures in her gallery
“Oh… So, umm… um, you sleep together? Are you guys alright now?” Luna stuttered coz she was afraid if she said something wrong
“No, I don’t know…” Amber paused making Luna gave her questioning look. “He seemed insomnia or something then, he ended up sleeping in my bedroom on the floor. I took many pictures of him in the morning.”
Luna heaved a sigh and caressed her back. “He will understand someday.”
Amber just nodded. She kept looking at Kris’ pictures on her phone, zooming it in, zooming it out like a creepy stalker until she realized her phone showed display name of Kris’ mom.
“Hello, Mrs. Wu.” She headed to the corridor of the school
“Amber, how many times should I tell you to call me mom?”
“Sorry… M-mom..”
“Good, how are you and Kris?”
“We’re good… yeah, we’re… fine, I guess.” She stuttered responding her
“I think your relationship has an obstacle now. So cute…” Kris’ mom giggled through the phone and Amber just stayed quite. “Well, I will go to Korea with Kris’ father. Maybe tomorrow we will reach Seoul.”
“Cool, should I cook something for you guys?”
“No, you don’t need to.” She laughed. “Alright, see you soon.”
“Take care~”
After she received her phone call, she went to basketball hall to tell Kris about it….
She entered the basketball hall and she saw him who was taking a break on the bleachers. She sat right next to him…
“Why are you coming here?” He asked her cynically
“I just wanna tell you that your parents will come here tomorrow.” She told him patiently
“So, they told you but they didn’t tell me about it? I’m their blood-child.”
“Maybe, your mom called you but you didn’t answer it because you were playing basketball with your friends, so your mom called me.” She said logically then, she continued again. “Don’t be childish, Kris.”
He checked his phone after he took it out from his bag. She was right, he had 17 missed calls from his mom. He looked at her who was sitting silently beside him. “Amber, you know I…”
“KRIS!!!” His couch shouted his name
He let out an exasperation sigh. “I’ll talk to you later.” She nodded. He stood up and told her. “You’re going home with me today..”
“Okay.”
“Don’t run away from me.” He started to walk
“I won’t.”
But then, he approached her again and whispered her in the ear very softly. “We’re still boyfriend and girlfriend.”
She gave him a little smile when she saw his smile. “Go, your coach is mad at you.”
…
“So, it’s like that?” Kris asked her when they were having lunch at the restaurant after school. Amber had already told him about what happened between her and Minho. She nodded.
“You’re not lying to me, right?” He made sure
“Of course not.”
“Should I punch Choi Minho again?”
“No, I’ve kicked him.” After Amber said that, they laughed together….
“Amber…” He called her name. “I don’t know but I feel something bad.”
“Why? Are you sick?” She asked him as her palm was on his forehead. Their nose touched, their eyes locked. Kris caressed her cheek very gently and realized that her face became more beautiful day by day.
Amber’s hand traced his jaw line. When Kris was about to kiss her because he felt this was a right moment, they heard annoying voices from distance. “KREASE!! AMBER!!”
Kris let out an exasperation sigh while Amber giggled seeing him in front of her. Tao and Luhan approached them as they dragged two chairs for joining them both.
“Are we bothering you guys~~~???” Luhan chirped annoyingly
“What are you two guys doing here?” Tao asked them as he acted innocently
“We’re rolling like a buffalo.” Kris told them with flat tone as he gave them ‘Go away or I’ll kill you both’ face
“We’re having lunch together as we both talk about something happened between us.” Amber told the two dorks the truth with smile
“Are you guys okay now?” Luhan asked with curiosity
“Ah, since you were about to kiss her in public….” Tao paused and the married couple became shy and awkward then, Tao continued again. “You’re a man now, bro.” He patted Kris’ back as he grinned very widely
“Amber, let’s go home now. C’mon.” He took Amber’s hand and stood up. They left Tao and Luhan but they hadn’t paid the bill yet.
“Hey! Hey! Hey! What about the bill??” Luhan shouted
“It’s your treat today! Bye!!” Kris shouted back without looking at them
….
“Do you know where Kris is?” Amber’s face looked in panic because since this morning, she hadn’t find Kris anywhere. Even he left her for school today
“You’re still fighting?” Krystal asked when they organized their locker in the afternoon
“No, we’re alright now, really. I’ve been looking for him everywhere since this morning, even our servants don’t know about him.”
“Have you asked Tao and Luhan? Maybe he’s with them now.” Krystal tried to give her a suggestion
“They don’t know either.” Amber started to feel worry a lot. “I’ve called him, I’ve texted him.”
Krystal patted her shoulder without saying anything…
Because Kris wasn’t there and everyone didn’t know where he was, Tao and Luhan accompanied Amber to her house…
“Kris hasn’t called you yet?” Luhan asked when they were reaching the front door and she just shook her head. They entered the house and found many servants gathered. She notice there was a tall man among them
“Oh, I’m sorry, Mrs. Wu.” That man approached her. “I’m Zhou Mi. I’m Wu’s lawyer.” He asked for shaking hand with her
“O-o-okay…” She was so confused
“Can we talk?” He asked him with gentle voice and soft smile. She nodded then, they entered to the living room. Amber was still confused about what happened, why did Wu’s lawyer come here suddenly and not Kris’ parents?
“So, uh… There’s this accident.” He started to talk
“Accident?” She asked him in confuse
“Yeah…”
