“Kreeeaaassseeee!!! I’m hungry! Hurry up!” She had been waited for him in the dining room for about a half hour but he didn’t come

“TADA!!!” He walked very fast from the kitchen and placed the hot plate on the table for both of them as he was still wearing the apron

“Wow, beef steak?” She asked him and he nodded with smile just like bunny. She noticed there was something wrong about the steak. There were no carrot, potato and bean

“Where are the vegetables, Kris?”

“Oh, I don’t like them so, I don’t put them in.” He told her as he chewed the beef. She shook her head seeing him

“You have to put them in.” She got up without eating the steak, she directed to the kitchen.

“Where are you going??” He shouted asking her but she didn’t answer him. He didn’t care about her, so, he just started to eat again. After 5 minutes, finally, Amber came back as she brought the vegetables on the plate for both of them

“Eat it.” She said with death stare

“No!” He shouted. She tried to feed him the carrot but he didn’t want to open his mouth, she kept trying to feed him but he just ran away from the dining room.

And after that, everyday, she kept trying to assure him to eat vegetables for his health but he was just too stubborn to understand.

Even she always brought him a container with healthy food everyday for him in the school. She forced herself to watch basketball match for him to assure him eating the meal that she brought even though she didn’t like watching basketball, she preferred soccer.

Once the match ended, she called him. “Kris!”

He approached her then, she offered the container. “No, Amber!”

“Yes, Kris!” She kept assuring him to eat it, he was about to leave him but she held his hand. “We’ll eat it together?”

He stared at the container then, his eyes moved to her eyes. He bit his bottom lip.

“I’ll wait for you at the back of the school.” She told him then, she went to the back of the school immediately

When she was going, his friends approached him. “It seems like you’re getting closer with that newbie. Why?” Tao poked his shoulder

“Do you like her?” Luhan asked him straightforwardly just like usual but Kris just stared at them

“C’mon, just tell us. It’s okay if you like her and you don’t like me.” Tao held Kris’ hand and placed it on his chest.

“You think I’m a gay???” His friends just laughed out loud and they headed to the changing room

Kris kept thinking about Amber. Should he go to the back of the school? He really didn’t want to eat that meal but Amber had already made it for him and she waited for him at the back of the school.

“C’mon, we have lunch.” Luhan told him and they went to the canteen for grabbing their lunch

On the other hand, Amber was still waiting for Kris but he didn’t show up. She started to feel upset because of him. When she was about to go, She saw Minho and he approached her.

“Hi.” He greeted her and she greeted him back. “Are you alone here?”

“Y-yeah.” She smiled

He saw the container that she held. “What’s that?”

She saw the container too. “Oh, this is my meal.”

“So, you eat your meal here?”

“I’m about to eat it actually.”

“Can we eat it together?” Minho asked her

“Umm….” She thought about Kris first but because he didn’t come, so, she decided to share the meal with Minho. “Sure.”

They sat together on the bench and she opened the container. “It seems yummy.” Minho smiled. They started eating together, Minho feed her and he noticed that she didn’t use chopstick but spoon

“You can’t use chopstick?” He asked her

“I haven’t gotten used to it.” She smiled. “I came from America.”

“Hmm… I heard you’re in the same class as Kris. Do you sit beside him too?”

She nodded. “Yeah, we use English.” Minho smiled hearing her and seeing her. For him, she was pretty and innocent, especially her Korean accent, it sounded cute.

“It has great taste, I think, especially the vegetables.” Minho praised her cooking skill

“Thanks, but uh… There’s someone who doesn’t want to eat this. It makes me disappoint.”

“Really? Who’s that?” Minho was curious.

‘Kris.’ She thought in her mind. “My old friend.” She answered him

“Why don’t you eat?” Tao asked Kris when they were having their lunch in the canteen

“I don’t feel like to eat today.”

“It’s meat. You don’t like it? Are you sure?” Tao asked him again and he didn’t give him any response. Then, Tao sliced the meat and put it into his mouth. “Hmm, yummy~”

Kris just stared at him with weird gaze. “I gotta go.” He got up and walked away from them

“What’s wrong with him? He doesn’t like meat? He turns into vegetarian now?” Luhan said and Tao just shrugged

Kris walked through the corridor and found many girls, they all walked towards him. “Kris!! Do you want to eat this? I made it by myself.” One girl said

He smiled and accepted it. “Thanks.” Then, all the girls gave their meals for him and he just accepted it although he didn’t know when he would eat them up.

He started to walk again, he decided to go to the back of the school. When he was there, he could see Amber with someone else sharing her meal together with him.

When he was realizing who the guy was, he was angry. It was Choi Minho and he had lunch together with his wife happily.

He just walked away from the school yard, he didn’t know where to go. He just walked until the basketball court, he placed all the containers on the bleachers. He started to play basketball alone by himself.

He dribbled the ball and made many dunks, three points shots, lay-ups to release his anger. He didn’t know why he was angry, was he jealous?

Suddenly, because his solaces, he stumbled and fell to the ground and his head hit to the ground first. He realized that there was blood came down from his forehead, then, he fainted.

The class started again and Amber found no Kris sitting beside her. She wondered where he went, he didn’t come to the school yard and he didn’t show up in the class, was he okay?

She tried to not care about it and started to pay attention on the class until the class ended but he didn’t come to the class. She started to feel worry about him.

She decided to ask Luhan and Tao when they were meeting coincidentally in the corridor. “Do you guys know where Kris is?” She asked them

“Oh, he’s in the school clinic. He played basketball and his head hit to the ground. You worry about him a lot.” Luhan smiled when he was talking to Amber

“Oh, no. Just… He didn’t come to the class.” She gave him back a smile

“Maybe you should come to the clinic, he needs you.” Tao said

“He needs me?” She chuckled

“Yes, he keeps mumbling your name. ‘Amber…. Amber…. I don’t want to eat…Amber…’ Like that.” Tao reenacted Kris weirdly then, laughed. It made Amber laugh too, she thanked them first then, she went to the school clinic.

She saw Kris lying on the bed with bandage covering his forehead. She sat on the chair beside the bed, their hands tangled together. “I’m here.” She saw his face and heard him mumbling her name. “Kris.” She whispered in his ear.

“Amber…”

“Finally, you open your eyes.” She heaved a sigh

“I’m carnivore, stop it.” He sounded weak

“No. I won’t..” She said. “You didn’t come.”

“I came..” He replied her

“No, you didn’t! I waited for you alone.”

“Alone? Are you sure you were alone? Who was with Choi Minho in the school yard?”

She narrowed her eyes seeing him. “Kris… I…”

“I saw everything what you guys did.” He said with cold tone

“So, you’re jealous then, you played basketball to release your jealousy but suddenly your fell down and your head hit ground?” She smiled

“Umm… No, I just wanted to play basketball, that’s it.” He said awkwardly, then, he asked her back. “Why are you coming here? Why don’t you just go home?”

“I can’t go home without you.” She made intense stare into his eyes

“Why? Do you worry about me?” He was curious

“Huh? Oh, Uh… yeah, my bodyguard is sick.”

“Tsk! Am I just your bodyguard?”

“No. You’re my stubborn bodyguard. Hey, by the way, should I drive the car to go home?”

“If only you don’t have me eat your cooking.”

She rolled her eyes. “C’mon.”
