Melissa’s POV

I cried myself to sleep that night, but the next morning I put on a fake smile and got ready for my first day as an assistant at SM entertainment. I was really hoping that I was going to get to work for Super Junior, they seemed very cute and funny and I would need some of those people in my life right now. I took a long shower and then it was time to get dressed, I put on a pair of dark blue skinny jeans, a pink knitted sweater and some pink converse and put up my wavy hair in a ponytail. Then I went out to Gabbi who was in the kitchen making breakfast, when she saw me she smiled at me reassuringly.

“Good morning, how are you?” she questioned and gave me a sandwich and a glass of orange juice

“I don’t know” I replied and started to eat, to be honest I didn’t know how I felt. I ate quickly, I just wanted to get to work, to be honest I was a little bit excited over that.

“Take care today” Gabbi told me while I was putting on my shoes

“I will, love you” I told her and hugged her tightly

“Love you too” she replied and then I went out of the apartment and to my car, it took me twenty minutes to get to SM. There I announced my arrival in the reception and sat myself down to wait. I had expected the same guy that had interviewed me yesterday to come and pick me up so I got really surprised when Donghae was the one who walked towards where I was sitting. He looked really good to be honest, his dark brown short hair laid perfect, he was wearing a simple white shirt, that amazingly showed off his muscular arms, and a pair of black jeans. He was smiling making him look very cute, yes Donghae was my bias in Super Junior along with little cute Yesung

“Hey Melissa” Donghae said when he reached me and I saw how he let his eyes drift over my whole body

“Hi, what are you doing?” I questioned and raised a brow and he looked me in the eyes and blushed

“I was just making sure that you’re okey, you didn’t seem to feel all too well yesterday when we talked about yeah you know” Donghae said seriously “And you texted me back and said that I saved you” he continued and looked at me concerned

“I had a knife” I whispered but he heard me and grabbed my wrist and stopped me and then he put his hands on my shoulders and looked at me panicked

“What!? Thank god that I texted you when I did! I get that you’re sad, but that’s not the right solution! Promise me that you won’t ever do such thing again!” he almost yelled

“Why do you care so much?” I asked him, I had met him just yesterday

“I know how it is to be going through a tough time and a close friend of mine committed suicide a couple of years ago, so I kind of despite it and don’t want anyone that I know to do it” he replied “So promise me that you won’t do anything like that again” he continued pleadingly

“Okey, I promise” I said and we started walking again “Thanks” I said after a moment of silence and he turned to look at me and then he surprised me by stopping me and wrapping his arms around me hugging me tightly

“Any time, remember, I’ll be here for you whenever and for whatever” he told me and then he let go and started walking. The hug was really warm and I felt safe, it was also the first hug that I had gotten from a guy since I came to Seoul. After another five minutes of walking Donghae and I reached a big room, in the room was the whole Super Junior and the interviewer I had talked to the previous day.

“Nice to see you again miss Poynter, take a seat” he told me and I sat down with Donghae by my side “You might have guessed by now that we have decided that you will be working for Super Junior” he continued grinning and I nodded, I had when I saw all of them in the room. I was really happy that it was them I was going to work for and I had a really good feeling about it.

“Yes, I am looking forward to be working for them” I told him and he chuckled

“Yeah and they’re looking forward to it too, they all went to my office yesterday when you had left and persuaded me to get you working for them, you must have done a really good impression on them. They seem to like you a lot” he told me and I looked at him surprised, had they really did that? Wow... “So I don’t have anything more to say, all the paper works where done yesterday so you can just start working straight ahead” he continued and smiled at me

“Oh, good” I said and then I along with Super Junior left the room

“If you have any questions just come to me” he said and I nodded

“I will, thanks” I replied and then he left me alone with Super Junior

“So what do you want me to do?” I asked the boys

“We actually have the day off today, but he didn’t know that, haha, so we thought that we would go to the dorm and just hang out and get to know each other better” Leeteuk said smiling

“Okey, are you sure about that?”

“Of course! Come!” Yesung exclaimed and grabbed my hand and dragged me out to some vans outside of the building. There was only room for seven people in the vans so we had to divide us as we were eleven. I got to go with Yesung, Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk, Sungmin, Ryeowook and Donghae. Ryeowook was driving and I was in the far back sitting in between Donghae and Kyuhyun. The drive only took about five minutes so not much was said. Then they dragged me up to Super Junior’s dorm. It was a really big place, but it had to be as they were ten people living there.

“I’ll start with lunch straight ahead! Do you like Korean food Melissa?” Ryeowook questioned and I nodded

“Yes, do you need any help? I can cut vegetables” I offered

“That would be...” Ryeowook started but was cut off by Donghae

“NO KNIVES!!!!!” he yelled and everybody turned to look at him confused “She shouldn’t manage a knife, she might cut herself, we have very sharp knives, I can do it” Donghae said a bit unsure

“Don’t worry Donghae; I can handle this myself then” Ryeowook said and Donghae nodded and let out a sigh in relief

“So Melissa, how old are you?” Eunhyuk asked when we had all settled down in their living room

“22” I replied and Kyuhyun smiled widely

“Noona nomu yepuh~” he sang and I chuckled

“I’m your noona?”

“Yes, but only by one year, but still!” he replied happily

“Watch out for him Melissa, he’s evil” Donghae whispered to me

“Don’t worry I think that I can handle it” I replied and smiled at him reassuringly

“I still don’t get why you applied for this job, you could’ve at least auditioned or something, I mean you studied music and drama at Julliard, you have to be really good if you went there, so why?” Siwon questioned, I knew that they really didn’t understand why I had applied for this job

“It’s complicated; I kinda felt that I lost my dream a bit. I was offered a part on Broadway just after school but there was no motivation so I went here. I simply don’t have left the same passion and then I applied for this job” I told them seriously

“Is it because of the boyfriend?” Kyuhyun asked and everybody shot him death glares

“Kyuhyun!” Donghae snapped at him but I put a hand on his arm and put on a brave smile

“Don’t worry, it might be better if you know, cuz I’m not exactly mentally stable right now so it’s good if you know if I have some mental breakdowns in the near future” I told him and nodded “Yes it was because of him, I thought that he was the love of my life but then one day he told me that he wanted to break up because he was sick and he didn’t want me to be stuck with him for the rest of my life and not be able to do whatever I wanted. We got really mad at each other that night and when my best friend said she was going here and asked me to come I didn’t hesitate. I didn’t want to be in the same city as him anymore, I simply couldn’t, it would hurt too much” I told them and they looked at me sadly and I felt the tears burning in my eyes and as the first tear rolled down my cheek I also felt a pair of strong arms around me pulling me into an embrace, it was Siwon

“Don’t worry we’ll be here for you” he told me and kissed my hair

“We’ll help you to move on” Yesung said comforting and I smiled at him

“Thanks guys, but you really don’t need to” I said but they all shook their heads

“Of course we need to! You’re under the supervision of Super Junior now!” Ryeowook yelled from the kitchen

“We can introduce you to Jonghyun! He’s a really nice guy!” Shindong exclaimed and I chuckled

“You really don’t need to but thanks again” I said and dried my tears and Siwon let go of me and put a strand of hair that was over my eye behind my ear

“You’re a part of the family now when you work for us” Siwon told me

“Yes you are our new little sister that we will get awfully overprotective about, so prepare yourself for that” Eunhyuk warned me

“I like overprotective” I assured them and they smiled happily

“Good” Yesung said and then he grabbed my hand and put it to his “Oh dear we have the same size on our hands!” he exclaimed and everybody burst into laughter, Yesung was famous for his small hands. We sat and talked for about two hours and then Ryeowook was done with the lunch so we all sat down by the table and started eating, I could definitely get used to this job. Super Junior were amazing. After lunch we settled in the living room again, I sat myself down on the sofa between Donghae and Siwon, I felt really safe with them by my sides.

“So Melissa, you say that you studied music at Julliard, what do you play then?” Kangin asked me and they all turned to me looking curious

“Well I play the guitar but my strongest instrument is my voice, that’s what I focused on at Julliard, singing” I replied

“Sing something for us then!” Leeteuk exclaimed and I shook my head

“No, really, not now” I said and they looked at me disappointed

“Come on!” Sungmin complained but I just shook my head

“Please noona, just one song!” Kyuhyun pleaded

“No” I said firmly

“Do it for me?” Donghae then asked and pouted and looked at me with puppy eyes, damn he was cute! I almost gave in but pulled myself together in the last second

“Another time” I told them and they looked disappointed but they didn’t argue with me anymore

“I’ll take that as a promise” Donghae whispered to me and I nodded

I hung out with Super Junior till late night, I really liked them all and we got along really well. I knew that I was going to love working for them and I hoped that they were going to be able to distract me from thinking too much about Heechul. After I told them our story I hadn’t thought about him anymore in the whole day. 10pm I had to go because Gabbi had started to bombard me with text messages wondering where I was. So I said good bye to Super Junior and Siwon drove me home. I entered our apartment with a smile and Gabbi of course noticed that straight away.

“Good day today?” she questioned and I nodded

“Yes, I’m working for Super Junior, they had a day off today so we just hung out in their dorm, they’re so sweet and funny and cool and just amazing” I told her and she smiled at my newfound enthusiasm

“I’m really glad that you got this job, it seems to be good for you” she told me and I agreed with her

“Yes, I think so, I really think so”
