One hour later we arrived at a small bakery where Donghae was going to have his tutoring session. The pastry chef that was tutoring him greeted us and led us out to the kitchen area of the bakery. Donghae then went to put on a chef’s jacket so that he wouldn’t ruin his clothes. When he came back I couldn’t help myself from staring at him. He was really handsome. He noticed it and looked at me curiously.

“What is it Melissa?” he wondered and I shook my head and looked down at my feet

“Nothing, I’m just not used to seeing you dressed like that” I told him and he chuckled

“Is it good or bad?” he then questioned

“Well you don’t look ugly, not that you’ve ever done that” I said sincerely earning a smile from him

“Thanks” he told me and then his tutor came back too

“So shall we start?” his tutor, Lee Kangho asked and Donghae nodded and placed himself by the counter

“Master” Donghae then called out and Kangho turned to him

“Yeah?” he wondered as he was bringing all the ingredients needed for the tutoring session

“Melissa does really good cakes, why not let her make a cake for us and you can grade it for her so that she can be told whether she has a future in this industry or not?” Donghae asked him and Kangho looked at me curiously

“Is that so?” he asked me and I nodded and bowed a bit “Then of course you should make a cake, and if you’re that good that Donghae says you are then maybe he can learn a thing or two from you” he told me

“Really it’s not necessary” I tried to reason but both he and Donghae shook their heads

“I insist and I’m pretty sure Donghae does that too” Kangho said and Donghae nodded happily so I had no choice but to make a cake for them.

I decided to do just a simple chocolate cake, with three different kinds of chocolate. It was very easy and didn’t take too long time. As I started to make it I soon forgot about Donghae’s and Kangho’s presence. I was so concentrated on my cake. Just as the day before it felt really good baking. I hadn’t felt this much at peace in a long time now. And it made me feel really good as I never thought I’d be able to keep on living after Heechul’s death. After about two and a half hours I was done and quite pleased with the result too.

“I’m done” I told Donghae and Kangho proudly, Donghae smiled at me and Kangho went to get some plates and spoons for us. When he came back he cut a slice each for us and I waited patiently for their reaction when they took their first bites

“Wow Melissa this is delicious!” Donghae exclaimed and I caught myself smiling which only made Donghae smile even more

“I have to  agree with Donghae, this is one of the best things I’ve tasted in a while, you’re really talented” Kangho told me and I felt myself blush a bit

“Thank you very much” I told him

“Did you go to a pastry chef school by any chance?” he then asked me but I chook my head

“No, I went to Julliard in New York, I studied music and drama” I told him and I saw how Donghae was looking at me worriedly just waiting for me to break down from memories. But honestly it didn’t feel as bad talking about Julliard as I thought it would be.

“Really? But you must’ve taken some classes” Kangho insisted but I shook my head again

“I am completely self taught, it wasn’t like I had any time to take any other classes than the ones given in school. I was always so busy” I explained

“I’m impressed really, what are you working with now?” he then asked me

“I’m Super Junior’s assistant” I told him and he frowned

“Ah, I wanted to hire you but as you have a job that good then I guess it’s out of the question” he said

“You wanted to hire Melissa?” Donghae asked surprised and Kangho nodded

“Yeah we could need a pastry chef like her here” he told Donghae who then turned to me

“You should start working here” he told me but I shook my head

“I can’t leave you guys” I said to him

“Melissa we’ll be fine! I promise!” he tried to assure me but I hadn’t been thinking about them

“Yeah I know that” I started and looked down at the table “I was thinking about me” I whispered

“Ah” Donghae said and then he turned to Kangho “Can you excuse us for a moment” he continued and then he grabbed my hand and led me out to the café part and sat us down by a table and took my hands in his firmly and looked me in the eyes seriously

“I don’t know if I’m capable of leaving you guys” I told him sincerely and felt my eyes getting wet “You are the only thing keeping me from going crazy” I continued and he squeezed my hands tight “Your presence is one of the few things that is distracting me from Heechul’s death” I said and the first tears started to roll down my cheeks and then Donghae  moved his chair next to mine and hugged me tightly “I’m terrified to be separated from you guys” I told him and cried into his chest

“Don’t worry, you won’t be separated from us, I promise” he told me and my back

“I can’t function normally if I don’t have you around” I said and held on tightly to Donghae’s shirt

“Shhhh, I’m not gonna make you leave us, you’ll stay and work with us for as long as you want to” he told me and buried his face in the crock of my neck

“I love you Donghae” I the whispered through my tears and I could feel him freeze and then he loosened the hug and stared at me

“What?” he questioned confused, I smiled weakly and caressed his cheek

“I love you Lee Donghae, I really do, maybe not as much as you want me right now but give me some time, okey?” I asked him and he took a deep breath and just looked at me, it made me worried. Was he tired of waiting for me? Had he already given up? But then eventually a smile appeared on his lips

“I’ll wait, I’ll wait till you’re ready to love me completely” he told me and took my face in his hands “I love you Melissa” he continued and kissed my forehead “Do you wanna go home? Or do you think you can handle staying a little while more?” he asked me

“Let’s stay for a while” I assured him and he smiled and then he dried my tears carefully before we went back to Kangho who was preparing for Donghae’s baking.

“Oh you’re back” he said happily when he saw

“Yeah” Donghae said and wrapped an arm around my waist “And I talked to Melissa about the job offer” he continued

“And what do you think Melissa? We’d be more than happy to welcome you here” Kangho told me and just as I was about to answer Donghae beat me to it

“You’re not gonna get her, at least not yet” he told Kangho who looked a bit disappointed

“No?” he asked and I nodded

“I am really thankful for your offer but I am not ready to leave my job yet” I told Kangho who nodded

“Okey, but when you feel ready just come to here and I’ll have a job for you” he told me and I bowed a little bit

“Thank you very much” I said

We stayed for two hours more. Kangho taught Donghae how to make cupcakes with a little bit help from me. And after that Donghae and I headed back to the dorms and had lunch. Donghae made me some instant noodles as he had to go to dance practice. I decided to stay home and rest. Donghae was very sceptical to that idea but I managed to convince him that I would be fine for a couple of hours. When he left though I broke down in tears. When Kangho had mentioned the idea of me leaving the work I had with Super Junior I really panicked. I hadn’t realized till then how important the guys actually were to me. I lay in my bed the whole afternoon and when Gabbi and the guys came home late night I didn’t go out to them and just pretended to be asleep when Donghae came in to check on me.

Then next morning I woke up early, no one was up yet. So I went out to the kitchen and made myself some tea. I was still a bit shaken after the previous day’s events. I couldn’t believe what I had become. Heechul had left me and now I was desperately hanging onto the Super Junior members, terrified that they would leave me too. And Donghae, who loved me... I wanted to love him back so bad, but I couldn’t, not yet.  I just couldn’t and it hurt me seeing him like that, waiting for me. I sighed loudly and buried my face in my hands. But then I heard a door open and when I looked up Donghae was standing in the door to the kitchen.

“Good morning Melissa” he greeted me smiling

“Morning” I replied and I tried to return his smile but with no success. He frowned and went to sit next to me, he took one of my hands in his and kissed it

“Why aren’t you smiling?” he questioned me and looked into my eyes, I immediately looked down at our interlocked hands avoiding his gaze “Is this about yesterday?” he continued asking and I nodded a bit hesitantly. He sighed and hugged me tightly

“I’m sorry” I whispered but he shook his head

“Don’t, you have nothing to be sorry for” he assured me “We won’t force you to leave us, please don’t worry, and please try to smile more, yeah?” he said and I nodded hesitantly and then Donghae kissed my cheek and went back to his room.

Donghae’s POV

When I came back to my room I immediately woke up Hyuk. We needed to make Melissa smile and I knew just how. I shook him violently till he opened his eyes quite annoyed.

“Dude what are you doing?” he asked me irritated and rubbed his eyes before turning to the other side, I sighed and pulled away his covers “AISH! Donghae stop! Let me sleep!” he complained and curled up to a ball.

“Get up! We have something important to do!” I told him and pulled away his pillow too

“Seriously Donghae! What is so important? I don’t have any schedules today!” Hyuk told me angrily, I sat down on his bed.

“Melissa is sad, yesterday when we went to my tutoring session she made a cake that I and my tutor got to eat. And my tutor was so impressed that he wanted her to work for him and then she broke down. She is scared of leaving us. She says that she is not ready to leave us yet and she is terrified that we will make her leave. And that is bothering her now so we need to make her smile” I explained to Hyuk. Slowly he turned around and looked at me seriously

“But why?” he asked me

“She says that we are the only thing keeping her from going crazy” I told him

“Oh... you told her that we would never make her leave us right?” he then asked me and I nodded

“Of course I did! But she is still worried and I want to make her smile” I said to Hyuk and he nodded

“Okey, so what’s your plan?” he asked me and I smiled

“Put on your “Oppa, oppa” suite” I told him and he chuckled

“Are we gonna give her a private performance?” he asked and I nodded and we both laughed. This was going to be fun.

Melissa’s POV

When Donghae left he left me alone with my thoughts again. After a while I heard Eunhyuk scream. Donghae probably woke him up as the good friend he is. Then all of a sudden I heard them laugh. It was a long time ago since I laughed full heartedly. But then all of a sudden the door to their room opened and Donghae and Eunhyuk stepped out, wearing their “Oppa, oppa” suites. I looked at them confused. What on earth were they doing? They both just smiled at my confused face expression and then Eunhyuk went to the stereo and put on Oppa Oppa making me even more confused.  And then Donghae started singing his part but said “Welcome to the Donghae and Eunhyuk show”. When he sang he started dancing the choreography all the time moving closer and closer to me, till he was just by my side. Then it was Eunhyuk’s turn and he did the exact same thing as Donghae and soon he too was by my side. When it was time for the chorus they both grabbed my hands and dragged me out of my chair and out to the kitchen floor. Then they started dancing again both facing towards me. They danced the whole dance really close to me and just fooled around, in the end they both grabbed me by my waist and spun me around. When the music ended Donghae fell to the floor and dragged me and Eunhyuk down with him. Donghae rolled over to me and pulled me to his body and wrapped his arms around me laughing and I couldn’t help to laugh too. They were so silly. Eunhyuk then rolled over to the both of us and hugged me from behind.

“I also wanna hug Melissa” he whined and buried his face in my neck

“Yah! Eunhyuk! She is mine!” Donghae complained and tried to push him away from me but Eunhyuk held onto me tightly

“You don’t have any rights to keep her by yourself!” he told Donghae and hugged me even more tightly

“Melissa, tell him that I do!” Donghae said and I laughed loudly

“Donghae, you have to share me! I’m not only yours!” I told him firmly but he pouted and looked me with his best puppy eyes

“But, but, but, you said you loved me” Donghae said sounding devastated

“I do, but I love Hyukkie too” I told him

“HA! She loves me too! In your face Donghae!” Eunhyuk said and laughed evilly and managed to pull me away from Donghae’s grip and moved us away from Donghae with me struggling to get away

“Yah!” Donghae shouted and grabbed my shirt trying to pull me back but Eunhyuk was faster and he got up on his feet and pulled me up with him and dragged me to their room and locked the door “Let me in!” Donghae shouted and banged on the door

“So what do you wanna do today Melissa?” Eunhyuk asked me and sat us down on his bed

“Let Donghae in” I told him but he shook his head

“No way, he gets to spend most time with you out of all of us!” he complained “It’s only fair that I get some alone time with you” he continued and looked at me pleadingly

“But-“ I started but he put a finger to my mouth to shut me up

“No, you can spend another day with Donghae, there are more days, give this day to Hyukkie oppa, please?” he begged and I sighed and nodded

“Fine, but how are we gonna get out of here with Donghae outside?” I asked him “Cuz I don’t wanna be inside of your room all day” I told him, he frowned and thought for a while

“I know!” he after a while exclaimed “Let’s climb out the window!” he continued happily but I just looked at him like he was crazy

“No way” I told him

“Come on Melissa! We only need to climb one floor and then we can get into the other dorm and go out from there!” he said and looked at me hopefully, I frowned and went up to the window and opened it and looked down. There was a balcony just below the window. I turned to Eunhyuk.

“You have to climb down first though and catch me” I told him and he nodded

“Of course! So you’ll do it?” he asked excitedly

“Yes” I said but then I looked at my clothes, I was only wearing a t-shirt and a pair of jeans, I had no jacket or shoes “But Hyukkie, I need shoes, and something more to wear” I told him, he then nodded and went to his wardrobe and took out one of his hoodies and gave it to me.

“This will keep you warm” he told me and I put it on, I smiled when his scent hit me, Hyukkie smelled really well. And then he gave me one of his caps “Take this one as well” he continued

“I still need shoes” I told him and his frowned

“That’s more tricky” he said and went to the wardrobe again “I can’t find anything, I’ll just have to carry you to a shoe shop” he then told me and I looked at him in disbelief

“Seriously?” I asked him and he nodded

“Yeah, when we get out I’ll piggyback you to the nearest shoe store and we’ll buy you some shoes” he said happily, I shook my head and chuckled. Eunhyuk always had the weirdest ideas.

“Okey, let’s do it then” I said and he clapped his hands excitedly

“Good! Now let’s go!” He said and went up to the window “Donghae are you still there!?” he then shouted

“YEAH! LET ME IN!” Donghae shouted in reply, me and Eunhyuk looked at each other laughing before he climbed out the window

“I’ll be there catching you” he told me before starting to climb down to the balcony below, I observed him anxiously but after just a few minutes he was down on the balcony smiling. “Your turn Melissa!” he shouted to me and I nodded and climbed down as well. This was going to be an interesting day for sure.

First of all I am so terribly sorry for taking so much time with this chapter!!!! It's just that I'm sp busy with school and everything. So I hope you forgive me! And thanks for baring with me! I hope you all liked this chapter! It was quite fun writing and now a day with Hyukkie awaits :)
