“You won’t find your way home” she said to me smug, damn she was right, I was hopeless and it didn’t help that we were living in such a huge city like New York

“Okey, but honestly why did we just have to go to this party? I won’t know like anyone there! You could’ve gone alone!” I told her annoyed

“Come on it’ll be fun!” she said trying to assure me of something that I already knew the opposite

“I doubt that strongly” I muttered and Gabbi just sighed

“Okey, I wasn’t going to tell you this, it was going to be a surprise. But as you’re so damn anti I’ll just tell you now. Heechul is going to be there, in fact it’s his party” Gabbi said and I stopped and stared at her

“Oh my god! I love you!” I exclaimed

“I know, I know, so now you’re going to have to talk to him” she said and my eyes widened

“What!?But, but, can’t I just observe him?” I said horrified

“Nope, you’re going to say actual words to him and not just freak him out by your glares” she said to me firmly

“Come on! You can’t ask that from me!”

“Of course I can! And honestly Melissa, are you seriously pleased with just observing him? Don’t you wanna at least try to get him to notice you?” she asked me

“Observing him is fine for me cuz I know that whatever I do won’t be enough to get him to notice me and like me” I told her sincerely

“God you’re negative! And you’re such a coward! For once go and get the guy you like!”she exclaimed frustrated

“You know I won’t!”

“Oh you will” Gabbi then said and I got a little bit afraid of her

After another five minutes of walking and discussing we reached Heechul’s apartment. The lucky guy lived very close to Broadway. Entering the apartment I spotted Heechul straight ahead. God he looked good tonight. He was wearing a pair of black jeans and a simple white t-shirt with a grey cardigan over it. It was very easy to understand why every single girl at Julliard adored him. Then I noticed that his best friend, the funny and cute Hongki was standing next to him. I like him a lot, he and I had various classed together and he was always so strange and funny.

“Don’t leave me” I told Gabbi panicked as I saw that she was about to walk away from me

“Melissa” she started and sighed “You have to learn how to fly on your own wings” she continued

“Honestly Melissa, I don’t know anyone here” I said to her

“You know Hongki, which is let me remind you Heechul’s best friend” she pointed out but I ignored her

“I repeat no one!” I just said

“Fine, I’ll stick around” she said and I hugged her thankfully

“Thanks, and don’t even try to make me talk to Heechul, I won’t do it” I told her seriously

“Why?” she wondered instead of pushing me to do it

“I’m no used to take the first step, that’s up to the guy” I explained to her

“God you’ll be single forever!”

“No I won’t!” I protested

“Of course not...” she said sarcastically

“God he’s gorgeous” I sighed and looked at him

“You’re impossible”

Heechul’s POV

“Who’s that?” I asked Hongki and nodded in Gabbi’s direction. She was with her best friend Melissa who I knew very well who she was but I didn’t want to make Hongki suspicious. He didn’t know that I liked her, a lot that is

“That?” Hongki wondered and looked at her “That’s Gabbi’s best friend Melissa and I have various of classes with her” he continued and I felt jealous, Hongki got to have classes with her, he got to know how she was like even though that I knew kinda well how she was like. She and Gabbi were very loud and I had overheard them while talking a lot of times and they were seriously everywhere at school. And from what I had seen and heard I had started to fall for her

“Oh” I simply replied

“Yeah, why are you asking?” Hongki wondered and looked at me suspiciously

“Just wondered” I said and shrugged but I knew that he didn’t believe me

“She’s really cool, I love her sense of humour, so weird, and she’s never silent in class and she has one of the most extraordinary voices I’ve ever heard” he informed me

“Why are you telling me those things?” I asked him to not make him even more suspicious

“Because you want to hear them? You’re not fooling me hyung, I know you like her” he told me and I sighed

“Yeah, I do” I replied

“So talk to her then” Hongki told me but I just shook my head

“No, I’m not her type, she wouldn’t like me we’re too different” I said to him and he le tout a chuckle

“Hyung she’s like the female version of you! You’d be great together!” he said and I looked at him surprised

“Really?”                

“Yes, really, sometimes it’s even scary how much you’re alike”

“Hey Heechul!” A voice from behind then said and I turned around to face one of the girls in my class, one of the girl that didn’t seem to understand that I wasn’t interested in her whatsoever

“Hi, Frankie” I said bored

“Great party” she said happily and batted her eyelashes

“Yeah” I replied and caught the sight of Melissa again

“Heechul what is it?” she then questioned

“What do you mean?” I asked her not taking my gaze off of Melissa, she was so beautiful

“You seem a bit lost, is everything alright?”She wondered and I nodded

“Yeah don’t worry” I assured her and walked over to Hongki that was talking to some other guys in our class “God she’s annoying” I muttered and Hongki just chuckled

Melissa’s POV

Gabbi held her promise and didn’t leave my side, instead she introduced me to like everybody there, well except of Heechul and well I saw that Heechul had been talking to Frankie, one of the most annoying and prettiest girls at Julliard

“Can’t we go already?”I complained to Gabbi who just shook her head

“You’re hopeless and NO!” she replied

“Come on!”

“NO!” she said firmly and started to push me forward

“What are you doing?” I asked her confused and turned around my head to look at her

“You’ll see” she said smirking and the and then she gave me rough push so that I (of course) got pushed into someone

*Hongki pushed Heechul at the same moment as I pushed Melissa = Awesome teamwork moment with Hongki*

I looked up to see that Gabbi had pushed me into Heechul. Damn. She was so dead!!! He looked at me with a confused and a little bit scared look in his eyes

“Er, hi” he said sheepishly with a hand on his neck. God he was cute!

“Hi” I replied shyly and started playing with my hair nervously but I secretly freaked out inside of me. He was talking to me! Heechul talked to me!!! Aaaaaaah!!!

“I’m sorry about that, I normally don’t walk into people like that” he said and looked at me apologetically

“Me neither, or well, I do, but this time it wasn’t my fault” I said stumbling over the words and bit his lower lip and tried his best not to chuckle

“I’m Heechul by the way” he said and smiled at me, I swear to god that it doesn’t exist anything on earth that is more beautiful than his smile!

“Melissa” I replied and smiled back at him feeling slightly unsure about myself

“You’re Gabbi’s friend right?” he then asked me and I nodded

“Yeah, I’m her” I said and then it got silent

“So how do you like this party?” he then asked awkwardly

“It’s cool, I guess” I replied immediately regretting saying “I guess”

“You don’t know anyone here right?” he asked and I shook my head

“Not really, only Gabbi and Hongki to be honest but Gabbi have been introducing me to like everybody” I said and he chuckled “and pushing me into people” I added quietly so that he wouldn’t hear

“That’s Gabbi” he said and I nodded agreeing

“Yeah”

“So what are your studying here except of music?” he then asked

“Also drama and you?”

“Music and dance” he replied and I smiled I had always liked a guy that could dance cuz then he could just lead me whenever I got forced to dance.

“I’m an hopeless case when it comes to dancing even though I’m working hard on it as I wanna be on Broadway, but without any further progress” I said and chuckled

“I’m sure you’re a great dancer, all girls like you say they on something but then in the matter of fact they’re epic at it” he told me and I blushed

“Really I’m not, believe me” I said but then he turned around and saw that Frankie was approaching us, he sighed loudly and then turned to me again

“Do you wanna ditch this party?” he asked and I looked at him both wonderingly and surprised

“Seriously?” I asked and he nodded

“Yeah, it’s my party so I think that I can ditch it if I want to” he said and chuckled

“Okey...” I said unsure but Heechul took that as a yes and grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the apartment before Frankie reached us and before I could even react and protest. He stopped at the sidewalk outside of the house still holding my hand. But then he realized it and let go of it quickly, leaving me disappointed. My hand in his was the most epic feeling ever.

“Oh sorry” he said and blushed

“Don’t worry about it” I assured him and tried my best not to blush too “Why did you want to ditch the party by the way?” I continued asking

“It got boring and I wanted to talk to you undisturbed” he said and the whole non blushing thing failed, I blushed hard when he said that

“Frankie?” I managed to ask and he nodded

“Yeah, she’s so annoying, she won’t leave me alone, I actually wish I wasn’t single so that I would have a good reason to tell her off” he said annoyed

“Haha yeah”

“What about you then? Do you have a boyfriend?”He asked and I shook my head

“No” I replied simply

“Why?” he then asked wonderingly

“It’s hard to find a guy that would put out with me. I guess they think I’m not worth all the drama and that I’m super weird” I said and chuckled

“Sounds a bit like for me, not many people put out with me” he said and grinned and I though “I would put out with you”

“Life’s hard for people like us” I stated

“Indeed” he replied and we both burst into laughter

Gabbi’s POV

After leaving Melissa and Heechul I went to talk to some girls in my class feeling pleased with what I and Hongki had done. But then I didn’t think about it any further until one of the girls asked me where my friend had gone. So I started searching through the whole apartment but without finding her or Heechul for that matter. Interesting. So I went up to Hongki to see if he knew anything that I didn’t.

“Hey Hongki, have you seen Melissa and Heechul? I can’t find them” I told him and he smirked

“I saw them leave together like an hour ago” he replied and my face dropped, he couldn’t be talking about my Melissa!

“They left together!? Heechul and Melissa!?” I asked him shocked and he nodded

“Yes, he likes her a lot” he informed me

“Really? Cuz she for sure likes him a lot” I told him

“That’s why you pushed her into him!” he then exclaimed and I rolled my eyes

“Hongki, learn one thing, whenever a girl’s best friend pushes her into a guy she likes him” I said to him “And you pushed him into her” I continued smiling

“”Awesome teamwork and I’ll remember that” he said and grinned, Hongki was so cute and funny

“Haha yes, let’s keep that up” I said and he nodded agreeing with me

“I think we both know that she’s like the female version of Heechul so they would be great for each other” he said

“Or too much” I pointed out but he just shook his head

“Too much for us? Probably but not for each other. I think that they’re a match made in heaven” he said and I did my best  not to burst into laughter

“That was really cheesy said Hongki” I told him and he sighed looking annoyed

“Just shut up” he muttered

Melissa’s POV

Heechul and I walked to Central Park and just wandered around there for I don’t know how long and just talked and talked. It really felt like I’d known him forever. Cliché? I know, but that was the truth. And he was like the strangest and cutest guy that I’d ever met, such a one of a kind

“Wow, it’s getting really late” Heechul then exclaimed all of a sudden

“What time is it?” I questioned

“3 am, I should get you home” he said but I shook my head

“It’s okey, I can get home by myself” I said trying to sound convincingly but he just chuckled and I doubt that he believed me

“No, I’ll take you home. Who knows what could happen to you!?” he said and took me by the hand again, it made me shudder. What did I do to deserve this night?? Guess I’ve been a good girl lately. Remind me to thank Gabbi for doing this for me. I guess it’s good that she’s hard on me

“So this is my place” I said after a fifteen minute long walk

“I’ll take you upstairs” he said and followed me into the building before I could react, when we reached my door he looked at me concerned

“What?” I wondered

“Can you take it from here?” he asked me and I giggled

“I only need to take one more step and I’ll be inside of my apartment so yes I believe so” I said and he blushed

“Right, stupid me” he said and hit his forehead looking absolutely adorable while doing so causing me to giggle again

“I’ll see you around Heechul” I said and opened my door but Heechul didn’t seem to want to leave (totally not complaining though). So I looked at him as an invitation to speak

“What would you say if I told you that I really like you and have from the first time I saw you?” he then asked and my mind went blank, he couldn’t be serious! Heechul, one of the school’s most gorgeous and sweet guys couldn’t possibly like me! “Please say something” he begged and I put up a finger as to say “wait”

“I...” I started and tried to gather my thoughts “You like me?” I asked him shocked and he nodded

“Yes, after seeing you with Gabbi and hearing you talk with her then I fell for you and now after tonight I can honestly say that I have fallen for you” he said sounding sincere “And I understand if you don’t feel the same then you can just forget that I even said anything” he continued, that hurt me so I embraced him, totally surprising him

“I won’t forget, ever. I like you too, a lot” I told him, no need to lie and he smiled at me widely

“Wow” he said and then he caressed my cheek making me die under his touch it felt so good, I sighed happily and he smiled again “I’ll see you tomorrow in school” he continued and then he took my face between his hands and kissed me softly. I died, no kidding. When his lips touched mine I felt how I got all warm inside and my eyes closed as I kissed him back. I tried to memorize his cherry lollipop like taste. Even though his oh so soft and delicious lips eventually left mine his face stayed very close to mine and I could hear and feel hm catch his breath. Both of our hearts were beating like crazy. Oh my god, Heechul just kissed me... I was in heaven when I was with him, seriously. “Good night beautiful” he continued and then he left and I just stood there like a fool a long time after he was gone. I touched my lips and smiled thinking about him. Today had been the best day of my entire life!
