“I think it’s better for us to end this.”

There was a short silence before he answered, “Fine.”

“Overtime, our relationship doesn’t work out again. And …”

The CEO of Shim Cooperation was seen several times with the daughter of  Choi car company in the XOXO Bar at Night. – Seoulflash 

“I think you have interested in another girl.”

“First call to all passengers of Asiana Airlines two-o-two with destination Seoul – Los Angeles.”

“Then, I’ll be going now.” she looked at him for the last time before spinning around.

“Wait,” he said straightly. “Take this.” he handed a blue box to her hand.

“What is this?” she was about to open the box when his hand went on top of her.

“Don’t.” he shook his head. “You can open this anytime but not now. Not in front of me.”

She looked at him questioningly. “Okay.”

“Second call to all passengers of Asiana Airlines two-o-two with destination Seoul–Los Angeles.”

“Good luck.” surprisingly he opened his arms and hugged her tightly. She bit her bottom lip unconsciously to prevent the tears that threatening to fall.

“Thank you, Changmin-ah.” she hugged him back briefly. With that she spun around and went inside the plane without looking back to him again.

At the plane, she was crouching inside her Charles & Keith bag, trying to find the blue box that he gave earlier. With trembling hands, she opened the hook and directly covered her hanging mouth. A beautiful necklace was seen inside.

Besides a necklace, there was a message too inside the box.

Dear Chaerin,

Happy 3 years anniversary! I found this beautiful necklace and thought of you exactly. It must be really beautiful if you use this, but well, not as beautiful as the one who wears it :b

There were many downs than the ups on our relationship this year. I’m totally not being a good boyfriend. I’ve been busying myself with the company and neglecting you; making you upset, mad and others.

I hope you will forgive this dumb boyfriend of yours >___< Let’s make year 4 a good one. I love youuuuu~ ♥

Then, she remembered his words.

“I promise, Chaerin-ah. I won’t let you go before you are the one who lets me free.”

She looked to the clouds outside the window while sobbing.

Goodbye, my love. You’re free now.

Two years later in Seoul, South Korea.

“Mister Shim, this is your newspaper for today.”

He looked up from his computer and took the newspaper. “Thank you.”

The medium-sized box in the headline page caught his attention.

The famous citizen of South Korea in Los Angeles: Han Chaerin.
A wedding planner for Hollywood celebrities.

Never once in a lifetime the CEO of Shim Cooperation being bothered with a simple news. He rubbed his temples and spun his office chair around, facing the wide window behind and let out a big sigh.

Meanwhile in Los Angeles.

“Chaerin, do you really want to go back to Korea?”

“I’m sure with my decision, Mister Brown.”

“Another celebrity is planning to make you as her wedding planner. Don’t you feel that this is a good opportunity?”

“I’m sorry, sir but it’s final.”

“Oh well, I can’t force you to stay here then.” He chuckled while motioning her to continue walking to the check in area of Los Angeles International Airport. “Giving up your career like that… Is there anything you have to fulfill in Korea?”

“There is.” She smiled while reflexively touching the Mandarin Garnet gemstone (or the pendant) of her necklace. “But I don’t know if I can achieve it.”

“What if you can’t?”

She gave a sincere smile to him before answering the question, “Let destiny decides, sir.”

“You’re really an amazing person, Chaerin. Good luck and God bless you.” Mister Brown offered his hand for a shake.

“Thank you. I’ll never forget your kindness; the one who have helped me a lot for these past two years.” They shook their hands and hugged each other for few seconds.
