“I was dreaming of this necklace that had a plated angel as a pendant,” I started. “I’m not quite sure where I got it in the first place but it was there. It felt so real I wasn’t quite sure if I was dreaming anymore, you know.”

Chunji watched me for a bit as I continued talking about how it ended and what came after that dream. Then he smiled and placed his warm hand on top of my head. “Well, whatever it was don’t think about it too much okay?” he smiled at me. “I don’t want you worrying and getting wrinkles on your pretty skin.”

I rolled my eyes but smiled, grateful for the small distraction. “Thanks Chunji.”

“But it got me thinking; don’t you think it must be part of your past or something?”

“What is?” I asked, feeling quite skeptical about where he was going.

“Well if you dreamt about it maybe it was from a memory.” he said, placing his hand back in his pocket.

A memory, huh?

It made me start thinking, but it seemed like a huge brick wall threatened to block those memories. I sighed and shook my head. “Maybe I should just stop thinking about it for now, I’m getting a headache.”

He nodded and smiled. “Do you want to go out today?”

I looked at him as we started walking towards first period. “You’re definitely not okay. Where’s that grumpy, old Chunji I first met, huh?”

Chunji arched a perfect brow at me and he scoffed, “I’m not grumpy, nor am I old.” He muttered, poking my forehead with his index finger which I gladly swatted away. “I’m just looking out for you. I want to hear more about this dream after school, that’s all.”

“Why are you so interested in it anyway?”

“Just because I have the right to be curious and I want to protect my rights.” He said as sternly as possible with his arms crossed. “Will that be okay with you?” he said, although it sounded like I didn’t have a choice.

I laughed. “What’s with all your formality today you big bully.” I said, poking his bicep that was perfectly shaped under his white polo.

Don’t start drooling. Get a grip.

“Well? Is it a date?” he asked, getting all smiley and stupid again.

“First of all, it’s not a date.” I said. “Second, sure, I’d love to hang out with you later.” I shrugged. “But that depends on how much homework we have today.”

“Oh, come on Soohyo don’t be such a wuss.” He pouted. “Please?”
