No one’s P.O.V

The nurse brought Min back to the real world again. Min still insisted to keep her eyes closed.

“Min, can you try to open your eyes again?” The nurse asked.

Min shook her head. The nurse sighed. This had been going on like that for half an hour now. “Min you need to. Or else we can’t figure out what happened before”, the nurse tried another time.

“But it hurts!” Min complained. The nurse sighed. “I know but just for a quick check and you can close your eyes again.”

Min kept shaking her head. “I shouldn’t have taken this surgery. I knew it would end this way”, Min regretted. As the nurse looked more and more desperate Onew decided to try. He grabbed Min’s hand.

“Min, do you really want to give up now? You can’t walk with around with closed eyes forever. We are almost there and you will actually able to see”, he said. Min started to look hesitant.

“Plus I look really hot today”, he cockily asked even though it was a lie. How could he look handsome after a half concert and spending all the night wide awake being paranoid? But Min didn’t need to know that.

Min couldn’t help but giggle and sighed. “Ok then. But only because I want to check if what you are saying is correct”, Min smiled.

The nurse smiled and clapped her hands. “Okay. Try to open your eyes.” Min took a deep breath but then did as told. As soon as she opened her eyes she smiled, satisfied with that she didn’t feel any pain. But when she turned her head towards Onew she did as last time.

“Aaarrggh!” She screamed and squeezed her head in pain. “It hurts so bad!”

“Min are you okay?” Onew asked Min there had closed her eyes again.

Suddenly the nurse broke into a huge smile as she just solved the world mystery. “Try one more time and start by looking at Onew”, the nurse said.

Min opened her eyes but she closed them just as fast. “Arrhg!” The pain kept on going.

The nurse pulled out a drawer and found a flashlight. “This might hurt Min but this is for your own best. Just one more time.”

When Min opened her eyes nothing happened. Then the nurse took the flashlight and lighted her into her eyes. Min let out another loud scream.

“Min, I’m sorry to say this but your brain has got a damage. If you see into sharp light you will feel a huge headache. It’s unsure if your brain is going to get used to the light by time and get normal again. Until then you have to avoid sharp light as the sun, lamps and headlights of cars”, the nurse said.

Min didn‘t seem sad more like relieved. “That’s okay. At least I can see now right?” Min stayed optimistic. “That’s right”, the nurse agreed and so did Onew.

The nurse turned of all the lights off in the room so there only was the weak light from outside. “Now Min you can open your eyes again.”

Min shut her eyes open. She looked around in the room. Suddenly she got dizzy. All the colors blended together and nothing stood sharp. Min closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

She opened her eyes again and this time her eyes were used to the bright colors. Things were still dizzy but she could see them. In front on Min there stood a smiling creature. Her eyes were small and her face was a little heart shaped. Her black her were tied in a bun.

Even though Min felt awful about it she felt kind of disappointed. She didn’t know… She just expected him to be different. He looked some feminine.

“Onew?” Min asked confused. As she never had learnt how to recognize boys from girls she was confused. The nurse laughed. “No Min, I’m your nurse”, she said. Behind her Min heard a chuckle. A chuckle she loved.

Min turned her head and there he was. As he met Min’s eyes he smiled but yet he got incredible nervous. His hair was brown and it was quite messy. His face were really round. But the one thing Min got lost in was his eyes. They were like melted chocolate. The glittered of excitement.

The feeling of disappointment immediately disappeared. He was just so incredible handsome. Min was sure that no boy in the world was just as beautiful as him. But her amaze wasn’t done because her jaw literally dropped when Onew flashed a happy smile.

His teeth were placed perfectly like pearls on a line. His smile was so big and goofy that Min couldn’t help but smile as well. His eyes shone with happiness.

Instead of saying anything Min just got up from her bed and stumbled towards to Onew. She embraced him in a big hug. “I just think I just fell even more in love with you”, Min said. Onew smiled again. This time he didn’t need to answer her because she could see his reaction.  

After several minutes where Min just was caught up by Onew’s look the nurse walked to Min. “Min would you like to see yourself?” She asked. Min nodded. The nurse held a mirror up in front of Min.

“This is you”, the nurse said. Min looked at the girl in the mirror. She was still pale after the surgery and her hair was messy. There were blue marks around her eyes after the surgery.

Min made a small hand move just to check. The girl in the mirror did exactly the same. Min sighed. She didn’t know what to feel about the girl looking at her.

“I guess I just have to get used to myself”, Min mumbled. It wasn’t because the mirror reflection wasn’t pretty but… She just felt like a stranger.

“How can you say that? You’re so beautiful”, Onew said and sneered up behind her. “Believe me the rest of the girls in this world don’t look so amazing like you do”, he assured her.

Min’s eyes lighted up by a thought in her head. “Hey, I almost forgot the best thing about this!” she grinned and decided to push her mirror reflection away for now.

Onew and the nurse looked at her, waiting. Min answered by taking a step forward and kissed Onew’s lips.

“See I hit your lips perfectly this time!” Min cheered. Onew laughed at how happy Min looked about that silly little thing.
