SEULGI and Joohyun were already chasing for their breaths when they finally stopped running. The bassist took another look at her director and she’s sure her ears lit up the moment her gaze landed on Joohyun’s Raiden Shogun cosplay. She hurriedly took off the flannel she was wearing over her shirt and covered Joohyun with it.

The young director turned to Seulgi, still chasing for her breath. “W-What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.” Seulgi answered before looking away.

“You don’t like it?” Joohyun asked worriedly. 

“Mh hm…” Seulgi shook her head before straightening her back . She took one quick look at Joohyun but ended up looking away in a split second. “It looks good on you. T-Too beautiful…”

The young director felt her cheeks warm up. She also looked away instinctively, her hold to Seulgi’s flannel tightening. “T-Thank you.”

Awkward seconds have passed but none of them was talking. Seulgi cleared and tried to start a conversation. “I was really surprised by this. Is this planned? Why were Seungwan and the others so surprised that they ran away with their partners?”

“Uhm…” Joohyun lowered her head in embarrassment. “Everyone knew about me cosplaying but they didn’t know that Minjoo and the others would be joining. I guess that’s why they were so surprised.”

“Yeah…” Seulgi looked around and spotted a bench. She held Joohyun by the hand without even asking for permission, leaving the other girl startled. “Let’s take a seat over there.”

“A-Alright…”

Seulgi sat first and she couldn’t help but to blush when Joohyun sat. ‘Argh… I don’t have anything to take off anymore… How can I cover her thighs?’

“Is there something wrong?” Joohyun worriedly asked. “You look tense…”

‘How would I not be tense!?’ Seulgi was having an internal mental breakdown. Her eyes were everywhere but not on Joohyun. The girl in the costume let out a deep sigh. 

“I guess I overdid it, didn’t I?” 

Seulgi’s neck almost snapped when she turned to Joohyun after hearing that sad tone in her voice. “N-No! I-It’s not—”

Forced chuckles were heard from Joohyun. “I guess you’re judging me internally now. You must be thinking how come someone my age does something like this… You must be thinking that I am really desperate.”

“N-No…” Seulgi’s shoulders dropped, her eyebrows were clearly showing opposition to whatever Joohyun said. “It’s not like that…”

“Then what is it?” Joohyun leaned forward before looking up at Seulgi. The latter immediately looked away but Joohyun just followed her. “What is it, Seulgi?”

The taller girl could only sigh. She took a deep, deep breath before facing Joohyun just to fail miserably because she couldn’t even keep eye contact even for three seconds. “To be honest, it really looks good on you. You’re so beautiful that I want to take pictures with you just like the other fans earlier. So beautiful that I don’t want to share this look of yours to others.”

Joohyun was surely surprised but she couldn’t stop her lips from curving up. “See? Don’t you feel refreshed after being honest with yourself?”

“Haa…” Seulgi covered her face with both of her hands. “You’re now making fun of me…”

A rather happy smile lit up Joohyun’s face. She was thanking the courage and honesty that she showed Seulgi last time, believing that it was the reason that her Teddy Bear felt nearer than ever. She then removed Seulgi’s flannel and returned it to the other girl. Seulgi was in shock and disbelief.

“W-W-Why—”

“It took a lot of time to get into this fit. It will be a waste if I will just cover it, right?”

Seulgi turned even more red. “B-But, Joohyun…”

This time, it was Joohyun who reached out for her hand. The young director made their fingers intertwine and Seulgi just let it happen (because she literally froze, she couldn’t even bend her fingers if it wasn’t through the help of Joohyun). That’s when Joohyun realised that Minjoo’s cosplay idea was a success.

“It’s fine. You’re here with me now.” Joohyun looked at Seulgi with those puppy eyes and the latter had to close her eyes with a force just to avoid getting even more bewitched. Joohyun just chuckled. She knew she was with her Teddy Bear.

“L-Let’s go find the others.” Seulgi suggested, ears were still hot. “While searching for them, we can go look around…” She started scratching her cheek again. “That’s if you want to tour around with me…”

“Of course! I’d love to~” 

Seulgi turned to Joohyun and her heart melted at the warm smile the older girl gave her. She gave her back a smile. “Let’s go. I have to look for Fischl too.”

The bassist led the way and Joohyun couldn’t help but to hum in happiness. She mentally made a note about treating Minjoo, Jimin and Sooyoung to dinner after this successful plan. 

‘It’s so nice to know the weakness of the target~’ She thought as she happily clung to Seulgi. 

"Wait, who is this Fischl?"

“WHAT kind of idea ran into your mind that you’re in cosplay too?” 

Jimin was just sitting on a chair while Minjeong was standing in front of her. With hands on her waist, the smaller girl continued to scold her girlfriend. 

“Have you seen how those people were ogling at you? What’s with this costume anyway? Why would you—”

The girl in the costume had her head lowered all throughout the scolding and Minjeong suddenly felt bad for nagging at Jimin but she just couldn’t lower herself right away. Unbeknownst to her, Jimin was actually blushing and giggling hard because of her protectiveness that she just couldn’t show her face to Minjeong just like that.

Minjeong ran her fingers through her hair and sighed. “Let’s go and have you changed before we look for the others…”

“Why…?” Jimin asked in a sad tone. “It doesn’t fit me?”

“Do you even think it fits you!?” Minjeong stumped her foot. 

Jimin held her by the hand and flashed her that sad puppy face. “Answer me, Bebe… Don’t I look good in this costume?”

“You don’t—ACHOO!”

A loud snicker from Jimin was heard and Minjeong was surely not happy about it. Her girlfriend is using her weakness against her again. ‘This is all Seungwan-unnie’s fault! She shouldn’t have shared my secret with this sly fox!’

Jimin also grabbed her other hand and gave her another visual attack. “I look really pretty in this costume, right?”

“J-Jimin…” Minjeong dropped down to her feet. “Why do you like teasing me this much?”

“Because you give the best reaction, Bebe~” Jimin pulled her back and led her to sit beside her. “So~ What do you think of this costume?”

Minjeong let out another loud sigh. “Of course you look really pretty on it. I bet you’ll look pretty even if you wear the silliest costume out there.”

“Do you know what else I look pretty at?” Jimin asked before leaning towards Minjeong. She then gestured for the other girl to move closer so that she could whisper to her. Minjeong hesitantly agreed to it only to turn beet red after what Jimin whispered to her. 

“W-W-W-What!? W-Why are you s-saying something like that!?”

Jimin snickered to her heart’s content after seeing that reaction from Minjeong. “It’s true though~ I still look pretty without anything—”

“Jimin!” Minjeong quickly covered her girlfriend’s lips while looking around. She let out a sigh of relief when she ensured that no one heard Jimin. “Come on… Don’t tease me like this in public… It’s not good for my health…”

The taller girl calmed herself down and pressed her lips together. She took a deep breath and called it a day for teasing Minjeong. It’s been a while since they started dating but Minjeong never got intimate with her at all. They have never even kissed! The times Minjeong initiated light skinships like holding hands can be counted through fingers. They are neighbours but Minjeong never stepped inside her house after helping her move her things.

Jimin understands that this is Minjeong’s first time in a relationship but she just couldn’t calm her own feelings down at times like this. Jimin’s way of love is intimacy and she felt like she’s being limited because Minjeong couldn’t receive her affection that way.

“Oh!” Jimin suddenly exclaimed when she spotted familiar people in the crowd. “That’s Minjoo and Yujin! Let’s just go and meet—”

“Later…”

Jimin gasped when she felt Minjeong’s hand holding hers. The younger girl was leaning on the bench as if all her energy was depleted. “Give them some alone time. I… I also want to be with you alone… a little longer…”

The taller girl’s eyes dramatically widened, she felt her heart swell. She held Minjeong’s hand back and leaned on the other girl. “I’ll stay with you as long as you want~ But you can also visit my home if you want~”

“Here we go again…” Minjeong sighed but this time she was smiling. “You know I am not used to these things. I am sorry if I offended you in some way…”

“It’s okay~ This Unnie will help you grow up~”

The younger girl shook her head and leaned on Jimin’s shoulder. It’s Jimin’s turn to be startled again. Minjeong closed her eyes. 

“That’s the first time in a long while that I ran like that. You made me run, Jimin.” Minjeong made herself comfortable in that little skinship. She won’t lie, she did like it. “Let me rest for a bit.”

On the other part of the convention…

“You’re really beautiful, Minjoo!” Yujin excitedly said to the pink-haired girl which made the receiver of the compliment more embarrassed. “See? I told you’re really, really beautiful! Costumes like this enhance your beauty even more!”

“Y-Yujin…” Minjoo called while looking around. “P-Please don’t be too loud… People are looking at us…”

“They’re not looking at us because I am loud.” Yujin laughed, her dimples and eye smile were present. “They are looking because you capture their attention. You’re really beautiful!”

Minjoo blushed harder. “Y-Ya… Just because you’re still wooing me, flowery words come out of your lips, huh?”

“What do you mean?” Yujin suddenly raised her eyebrow. “I’ve been telling you ever since that you’re a beauty to die for. You just don’t believe me. Sometimes I don’t know if you got Seulgi-unnie’s disease or something…”

“D-Don’t talk like that…” Minjoo pouted. “You’ve teased me a lot, that's why I started doubting myself?”

“Huh?” Yujin looked rather shocked. “Now it is my fault? I only teased you because you spaced out a lot during university days. I never tease you about how you look!”

Yujin then moved closer to Minjoo and cupped her face. “There’s no way I can pick on your visuals if you look this beautiful. Also, it’s not good to pick on people’s visuals in any way. Everyone’s beauty is different~”

“S-Stop, Yujin! Y-You’re going to ruin my makeup!”

Yujin just chuckled before letting go of Minjoo. “What should we do then? Do you want to meet the others or just go around with just the two of us?”

“Are you taking this chance to take me on a date, Miss Ahn?” Minjoo crossed her arms.

“Why not, Miss Kim?” Yujin also crossed her arms. “You wore this wonderful costume just for me, might as well take you into a date~”

“Huh? Who told you I wore this for you?”

Yujin was taken aback and Minjoo couldn’t help but to laugh internally because she knew she’s already getting into Yujin’s nerves.

“This isn’t for me?” Yujin asked.

“This is a surprise for Seulgi-unnie, remember? Also, I did this to support Joohyun-unnie. She won’t do it alone.”

“Ah…” Yujin’s shoulders dropped. “I see.”

Minjoo’s conscience immediately knocked in her heart which made her quit the teasing game right away. She jumped in front of Yujin who already looked away from her to surprise her.

“Are you disappointed, Yujinie?” Minjoo asked with a playful smile on her face. “I was just kidding. It is actually for you… This is my answer to your surprise… Though I really did it to support Joo—“

Minjoo was silenced when Yujin suddenly pulled her into a hug. Many years may have passed but Yujin is still that puppy who loves to hug at moments like this. She just returned a hug and caressed Yujin’s back. “What is it, puppy Yujin?”

“I was a bit scared.” Yujin whispered. “It was nice that we’re comfortable and joking with each other like this. I am afraid I don’t make you feel nervous anymore…”

“You’re so dramatic.” Minjoo chuckled.

“I know I am.” Yujin pouted but still didn’t let go of Minjoo. “I am pretty emotional but I am trying not to be controlled by it. But it is hard not to care as well.”

Minjoo let out a sigh. She then faced Yujin and poked her cheeks. For her, it is better that Yujin tells her right away than brew it in her heart only to explode in toxicity later. She really likes this honest part of Yujin.

“Cutie.” Minjoo smiled.

“Will you still not date this cutie?” Yujin flashed her puppy looks again which earned her a playful punch on the stomach from Minjoo. The two just laughed at how cringey their conversation was if they were viewing it as a third party.

“But Minjoo…” Yujin strategically held Minjoo’s hand as they started walking. “Is it still far? We’re still not back to being girlfriends, am I right?”

“Hmm…” Minjoo thought aloud. “I’ll give you the answer if we win the competition.”

“And will that be a good answer?” Yujin asked again. Minjoo just smiled. In her mind she was thinking that there’s really no other way but for them to be together again. She’s just really enjoying being wooed by Yujin. It’s payback time for all of Yujin’s teasing.

“Maybe yes, maybe no~” she mischievously answered. “Why? Are you already giving up?”

“Of course not!” The puppy turned into a smug canine. “Ahn Yujin knows no retreat~ 임전무퇴!“
