Goodbye

 

 

A knocked was heard and the tall girl stood up from her chair, walking towards the door to open it.

 

Her eyes widen when she saw who was outside her house.

 

“Taeyeon?! What you doing here?”

 

The latter was drenched, due to the heavy rain outside. Her hair was sticking to her face, and her eyes were puffy and red.

 

“Soo-Sooyoung,” her words came out barely as a whisper and she rushed forward to hug the taller girl.

 

The taller girl hugged her back, softly muttering soothing words.

 

Tiffany.

 

“It's fine Tae, it's fine,” Sooyoung the latter's damp hair, slowly leading her to the bathroom. “Come on, go take a hot shower.”

 

The shorter girl gave a slight nod and went into the bathroom.

 

The moment the shorter girl shut the bathroom door, Sooyoung ran her fingers through her hair fustratingly.

 

She's using you. Again

 

I know. But I can't help it.

 

Sooyoung covered as tears slide down her cheeks.

 

 

 

 

-Later, at the living room-

 

The taller girl was comfortably sitting on a chair, watching the shorter girl sipped her hot chocolate.

 

“What happened?” Sooyoung asked. Although she could already guessed the answer.

 

“Fany... She cheated on me... again...”

 

“With Jessica?”

 

The latter shooked her head.

 

“With a new girl, Sunny.”

 

The shorter girl sighed, resigned that her girlfriend was a player.

 

“Why does no one love me, Soo?”

 

Sooyoung clenched her fist at the question.

 

She knows. She knows that I love her.

 

But yet.

 

“I love you, Taeyeon-ah, you're my best friend afterall,” Sooyoung gave a fake smile.

 

“I love you too, Sooyoung-ah. As a friend.”

 

I'm nothing but her bored toy. A person she goes to when she's bored.

 

Sooyoung gave a yawn. “It's late, Tae, time to go to bed.”

 

“Will you be sleeping with me?” The shorter girl asked, blinking her eyes innocently.

 

The devil that lurks beneath the innocent image...

 

“Sorry, Taeng, not tonight.”

 

The shorter girl pouted but went to the guest bedroom to sleep. The tall girl went to her own room.

 

Slowly, slowly keeping my heart from you.

 

“I love you, Kim Taeyeon, I really do.” Sooyoung whispered.

 

The tall girl lay on her bed,as tears flowed down her beautiful face.

 

This is the last time, Kim Taeyeon, that I'll cry for you.

 

It's time to move on.

-3 months later-

 

 

It was another rainy night, and the tall girl heard a knock on her door.

 

“I'll go get the door,” Sooyoung said to the black hair girl that was going to stand up.

 

The tall girl opened the door to see an image she saw three months earlier.

 

A soaked, bedraggled short girl.

 

“Soo,” the shorter girl whimpered, waiting for her hug.

 

It never came.

 

Instead, the taller girl was being back hugged by a black hair woman.

 

“Soo~ Who's that?”

 

“Ah, Yuri-ah, that's Taeyeon, a friend of mine.”

 

The tall girl smirked when she saw how shocked the shorter girl was.

 

You thought I was your puppet.

 

You thought wrong.

 

“But...how...?”

 

I broked free from your control.

 

“Oh, I met Yuri in a cafe-”

 

“No! I mean...I thought you loved me?!” The shorter girl looked wild and furious.

 

“I did, Taeyeon. I loved you. But I no longer love you.” Sooyoung eyes softened. “I could call Fany for you, if you want.”

 

“No...no thanks... I-I broked up with her.”

 

“You-You did?” Astonishnment could be seen in the taller girl's face.

 

“Yeah, but I guessed you are already taken..” The shorter girl turned away and walked away dejectingly.

......

 

......

 

“Tae!”

 

The shorter girl immediately turned around, eyes filled with hope.

 

“You blew out your chance. Your chances. Goodbye Tae.”

 

Taeyeon turned back, her shoulders slumped with dissapointment.

 

Goodbye, Taeyeon.

 

The taller girl closed her door.

 

“Come on, Yuri, let's continue watching our tv.”
