I'll Think About It

A/N: So, I decided not to divide the final chapter into two parts. This wouldn't be the last but second to the last and the epilogue I planned, I would just include in chapter 15. Would that be fine with everyone? Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter. :)) I haven't edited this properly. Sorry for the mistakes.

In the library one week before grade 12's final exams, students were catching up on their review materials. It was an unusual sight to see Woohyun and his friends inside the library studying. Some students were stunned to see them there.

"Hey Hyun! Can you explain this part to me again? I don't think I understood it well."

Woohyun looked at Hoya who was pointing at the chemistry equation. "Have you forgotten that liberal arts programs don't have detailed chemistry subjects unlike yours in STEM?"

"But you're smart and I know you know this topic better than I do." Of course, he knew it well.

One advantage of having a husband who was in STEM curriculum as a review partner was that he gained a deeper understanding of science and math topics. Science and math are included in his program, but they are not the focus. Thus, they were taught primarily introductions and the fundamentals only.

Woohyun took the book from his friend and studied it. It was a chemical balancing, and it was quite complex. After looking at it, he wrote the solution on a piece of paper and explained it to Hoya.

"Why are you not in our program? I could use you as a study buddy."

Taking STEM had crossed his mind before, but when he realized that it was heavily centered around math subjects, he decided it wasn't for him. Despite having excellent grades in math since middle school, he still developed a love-hate relationship with it.

Although he could easily understand every single equation from any math subject, he disliked how it became monotonous in the long run. When he saw his husband doing revisions, he could only grimace because he could see Sunggyu enjoying it.

"I hate math." He answered simply.

Myungsoo butted-in. "But you're a better math student than most of us here."

"Yeah. But that doesn't mean I like it." He got back to reading his Philosophy book.

Ten minutes before the first school bell rang, the four friends left the library to go to their class.

In the hallway leading to the staircase, they saw a group of students looking at the bulletin board. Because of curiosity, they checked what the fuss was all about.

There was a new announcement pinned inside the glass display.

Attention to all graduating students:

Your final examination was moved to this week. Examinations would begin on Wednesday and last until Friday. This is to give your teachers time to assess your grades before winter vacation. All pending projects have to be submitted by Tuesday next week.

Next year, class cards would be distributed a day before the graduation candidates are announced.

Thank you and Good luck to the graduating class.

Woohyun could hear his friends groaning like their schoolmates. Who wouldn't be? It was a sudden decision made by their school... again. They really loved to surprise them with bad news.

"This school is really getting into my nerves already. If only we didn't promise Woohyun to behave, I would turn this campus upside-down with unforgettable pranks." Sungyeol expressed his distaste for the announcement loudly.

"Yeah. This school . Let's just do our very best to pass our finals so we can leave this hellhole." Hoya emphasized while they continued on their way to their respective classrooms.

*****

Cafeteria was in an unusual state. Most of the nerds weren't around as well as some of the grade 12 students. Graduating batch members swarmed the library after the announcement that the final exams would be rescheduled in 2 days.

"Wow! This place is too quiet." Dongwoo commented.

All of the officers looked around and noticed that the hall wasn't full.

Sungjong responded to the Vice President's comment. "What do you expect with the sudden announcement of the final exams? This school is really pain in the ."

"I'm glad we're leaving this maddening place. Good luck with the next batch of officers." Sunggyu couldn't help but give a bitter reaction.

They started with their lunch when Woohyun's group entered the canteen. Their obnoxious laughter was audible to all.

"Hi Zi!" Zico gave Myungsoo his finest smug face.

Sunggyu on the other hand made a mistake of turning his head towards the group because Woohyun was giving him a kissy face that wasn't too discreet. The officer rolled his eyes at him and let his gaze fall back on his co-workers who were also looking at the group.

"Your ex is being weird Gyu. He's giving you a kissy face after he cheated on you." Said Dongwoo who caught the act.

"Just let that stupid thing be. I don't care." There were still a few instances that Sunggyu and Woohyun had to act. Though it wasn't always the case. Occasionally, it was annoying, but most of the time, it was funny.

Sunggyu continued eating when he felt his phone vibrate.

From: 树

Baby, please go home early. I need help with reviewing.

He smiled a tiny bit when he read the message. And he didn't really need to reply. He just nodded stealthily because he knew his husband was looking at him.

From: 树

Thank you, baby. I love you.

When Sunggyu finished his food, he and Zico left the canteen together. Ever since Zico knew that he was Woohyun's bestfriend, they became much closer. However, he sometimes felt that his friend was observing him way too much. As far as he knew, Zico had an idea about Woohyun's feelings. His husband told him.

"Gyu, can I ask you something?" They were in the locker room gathering their things for their next class.

"What is it?"

"Do you have any feelings for Woohyun?" He got surprised by the question. Though he expected that one day, Zico would ask him, he just didn't realize that it was that soon.

"Why do you ask?"

"Nothing. It's just that you two were too close. It would be impossible if neither of you fell for the other."

"He's my best friend Zi. And he's very important to me. Have I ever felt any romantic feelings for him? Never thought of that since I'm quite happy with someone right now." Sorry Zico for lying. I had to. He mentally apologized. "I know you all observed my actions. But please keep it a secret. I'm not really comfortable talking about private matters."

"I'll keep it, don't worry. But what if Woohyun has feelings for you?"

Sunggyu laughed. If he was going to be honest, it was hard lying about their feelings. It was challenging to answer questions about it. But he had to start acting.

"Woohyun? That sulky idiot? He's happy Zico. Don't worry about him having feelings for me. His emotions were fickle. It changes as frequently as he changes his girlfriends before."

"But you didn't deny that he had feelings for you."

All Sunggyu could do was sigh. He knew from the moment he opened his mouth, he had made a mistake and Zico would not let it slide.

"I knew Woohyun like the back of my hand so I knew about it and I could feel it too." He could see Zico a little bit surprised. "I'm not blind Zi. But as long as he wasn't saying anything about it, it's better this way."

"But he might be hurting knowing you have someone."

He couldn't help but smile at Zico's retort. "Don't worry about Woohyun. I knew what kind of pain he could handle and what not."

Woohyun appeared suddenly beside them. He scanned the locker room to see if anyone else was there.

"What are you two talking about?" His husband was pulling out his books from his cubbyhole.

"Hmm... Nothing! I'll leave now because you have Economics class, you go together. Woohyun, don't be late later or else I'm not helping you."

Sunggyu turned away immediately as he fled and stopped his mouth from lying any further. He would just let Woohyun deal with Zico.

Meanwhile, Woohyun was left with Zico once again, who looked at him with a sad expression.

"What's with you? Did you and Kyung fight?" Zico shook his head, but his eyes never deviated from him. "You know, you look creepy looking at me like that. Tell me what do you want?"

His friend sighed before patting his back. "Sunggyu knew."

"Knew what? My feelings for him?" He asked directly. When Zico nodded, he smacked his head. "Well, I'm pretty sure he feels it even if I don't tell him. But I'm not confessing, okay? It's better this way. We're just happy like this. So, don't worry about me."

"Do you know that both of you said the same thing?" He frowned. Zico continued. "Both of you said that it's better this way. I just couldn't understand why both of you aren't together."

"We're not in K-drama Zi. There are things that we have to leave as is. I'm happy that my best friend is happy." They started walking towards their classroom.

"Gyu really loves his special someone?" Woohyun, with a bright smile, answered confidently. "Yes. He really does. He would do everything for him. Same as, that someone would give up everything for him."

Of all the lies Woohyun was telling Zico, that was the only truth. He would give up everything for his husband, even his life.

"It's just that seeing you two together makes me want to root for you two to be in a relationship. Although you are acting like strangers here, I can tell how special you two are to each other." They were now waiting in their room for their teacher to appear.

Woohyun looked at his friend and smiled. "That is because he's special to me and even to my family. If there is one person who I would choose over anything, it would be him. I'd rather lose everything but him."

"You really love him that much to say that."

He just gave Zico a nod before turning his gaze in front. It was difficult lying over and over to Zico about his relationship with Sunggyu. It was just like acting over again. He didn't know what would be his reaction if he knew that they were married but, he could only hope that he would understand the secrecy.
