It was awkward. Their friends stared at them as they both walked in different directions. Sure, they tease them a lot, but they did not anticipate that they would do it. 

Hindi na sila nagpaalam at nagsiuwian na. Baka biglang sumabog sa kahihiyan ang dalawa kapag pinuntahan pa nila. Karina's Sunday is supposedly a rest day, shopping, or eating outside. But she did not. This time, she studied hard, not bothering to eat. 

Winter every Sunday is a fun Winter. But this time, she chose to stay at home and laze around. 

Both had plans to go out but did not. Takot silang makasalubong ang isa't isa. The world might be big, but it is small enough for Karina and Winter. 

It's just a kiss. Wala naman dapat silang taguan. Ano naman kung nakuha nila ang first kiss ng isa't isa? Ano naman kung parang may fireworks sa paligid nila nang magtama ang lips nila? Hindi naman big deal.

"Why are you in here?" Irene asked when she saw her sister in the house. Kauuwi nya lang galing sa meeting.

"Because the contest is approaching, Ate. I can't compete with nothing," sabi nya habang nagbabasa ng libro. 

Irene scoffed.

"Pero it is Sunday! Lumabas ka nga ng bahay!" Karina creased her forehead. Why would she leave the house and risk seeing the shorter girl who lives in the house across theirs?

"So what? Two weeks na lang din naman bago yung contest," umirap si Karina. She subconciously looked at the window across her. Magkaharap ang study table nila, kaya minsan ay nakikita nya na nag-aaral si Winter. Karina stared at the shorter girl. Bumaba ang tingin nya sa lips nito. She blushed before looking down at the book. Napansin naman ni Irene ang ginawa ni Karina. She smiled to herelf. 

"You know what? Sumama ka kaya sa date namin ni Seulgi? Sa may EK lang, she'll drive." Sabi nito. Napatingin naman si Karina sakanya. The taller girl enjoys amusement parks. Takot sya sa heights, but it does not matter. Kailangan nya rin naman mag-unwind pagtapos ng nangyari.

"Talaga?" Nakangiting tanong nya. Irene nodded her head with a grin. Agad tumayo si Karina paara mag-ayos. Irene chuckled before leaving and walking to the Kim's Residence. She rang the doorbell and waited for someone to open up. Tumambay muna kasi si Seulgi sa bahay ng mga pinsan nya habang hinihintay si Irene. 

"Ate, why?" Nagtatakang tanong ni Chaewon sa intercom. 

"May sasabihin sana ako kay Seulgi, nandyan sya, right?" Irene asked. After that, nagbukas nang kusa ang gate. She skipped her way inside while humming an upbeat song. 

"Babe? Tara na ba?" Seulgi asked. Irene smirked.

"Isama mo si Winter. I asked Karina to come kasi." Chaewon looked at them with a huge grin. Hindi lang naman pala sila ang may gustong mangyari sa dalawa, kahit mga matatanda.

"Sure, babe. Hindi ko na lang sabihin na kasama kapatid mo para pumayag." Umakyat si Seulgi sa kwarto ni Winter para ayain ang nakakabatang pinsan. Napatingin naman si Irene kay Chaewon na nakahiga sa couch habang papalit palit ng pinapanood sa Netflix. 

"Gusto mo ba sumama?" She asked. 

"Nope, Ate. May family outing sila Min, and I am too lazy to come with y'all." She said. Irene shrugged. 

"By the way, did something happen between Karina and Winter? Nahuli ko kanina si Karina na nakatingin sa kambal mo." Irene asked curiously. Hindi naman iyon ang unang beses nyang nahuli na nakatitig si Karina kay Winter, pero may iba kanina. She cannot pinpoint what though.

Napaupo si Chaewon sa couch at ngumisi.

"I did catch my twin staring at her too!" She said enthusiastically. Para bang may nadiskubre syang bagong element na pwedeng madagdag sa periodic table. 

"Ano pinagchichismisan nyo?" Seulgi asked. 

"Yesterday kasi, after we reviewed for the Quiz Bee, nagbond kami with friends. So we played, then at some point, Winter and Karina kissed." Kwento ni Chaewon. Napanganga naman si Seulgi.

"D-da-dalaga na ang baby Winwin ko?" She dramatically asked, she even pretended to be crying. Siraulo talaga.

Irene hummed, her lips tugged upwards in a mischievous smirk. 

"I guess this date would be fun." 

Nasa kotse na si Irene at Seulgi. Nauna namang dumating si Karina at umupo sa backseat.

"Let's go?" Nakasuot lang sya ng simpleng white shirt at pants. 

"Later, may hinihintay pa," napataas naman ang kilay ni Karina. Sino naman kaya ang hinhintay? And before she could ask, the car door on her left side opened. Winter stood there, staring at Karina with wide eyes. Karina mirrored the same exppression. 

"Bakit ka nandito?!" She asked loudly. 

"Hop in, Winter. You two can talk on the way," Seulgi said. Tumabi si Winter kay Karina. They both looked at the window beside them, ignoring each other. Namumula ang mga tenga at mukha. 

Why is that kiss affecting them so much? Sobrang lakas ng kabog ng dibdib nila, parang tumakbo sila ng ilang kilometro. 

"So? Tahimik ata kayo?" Irene asked cunningly. 

"Wala lang po sa mood, Ate." Mabilis na sagot ni Karina. 

"You might want to get in the mood. Traffic pa naman." Nakangising sabi ni Irene.

Karina and Winter spent 2 hours of their lives in awkward silence. They would glance in each other's direction once in a while. 

If someone asks them what is on their mind, their answer would be kissing each other, feeling their warm lips interlocking. And God helps them, they might just do that.
