Karina sat on the chair. Siya pa lamang ang tao sa Student's Council Room. Siguro ay hindi pa dismissed yung iba o may mga dinaanan. 

"You're early," bati ni Winter at umupo sa pinakamalayon upuan kay Karina. The latter rolled her eyes. 

"And you are late. We were dismissed 10 minutes ago," sabi ni Karina. The shorter girl shrugged. She pressed her lips together.

"Oh? Nandito na pala kayo mga Ate," bati ni Sunghoon. He sat on the chair across Karina and smiled at Winter. After a few minutes, dumating na rin si Chaewon at Jaemin.

"Himala napapayag kayo ni Headmistress!" Jaemin said, his mouth slightly open from shock. 

"Kailangan muna takutin ng dalawang yan bago pumayag, for sure." Sabi naman ni Chaewon. Winter decided to sit by the group. Hindi naman maganda na malayo sya habang magrereview sila.

"So, ano po una nating irereview?" Sunghoon asked. Nagkatinginan naman ang apat na nakakatanda.

"Geography."

"Science," nagkatinginan si Winter at Karina. They both raised their brows at each other.

"Excuse me? Who are you to decide which topic to study?" Karina asked. Winter rolled her eyes at the taller girl. 

"I am the first rank student in here. Eh ikaw ba? Bakit ikaw magdedecide?" The three students watched them with amused smiles. Hindi naman na bago ang pagbabangayan ng dalawa. But it is still amusing. Kaya they do not want to be in the same team. They have different styles and perceptions. Madalas na nagcclash ang ideas nila. 

"Uhm, let's study Law and Politics first," sabi ni Chaewon nang mapansin na hindi pa rin tapos ang pagtititigan nila Karina at Winter. They might take so much time if no one decided to intervene. 

"Sure, sure. Uh, here's a question," Jaemin said and showed the question to the group. 

"World War I began with the death of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, of which country?" Sunghoon read. He hummed and looked at the four other people inside.

"Austria." Magkasabay ulit na sagot ni Karina at Winter. Nagtitigan sila bago umiwas ng tingin. Napailing na lamang si Jaemin sa batchmates nya. 

"Next," sabi ni Chaewon at kinuha ang papel sa kamay ni Jaemin.

"What was the verdict in the O.J. Simpson murder trial?" 

"Not guilty," naunang sabi ni Winter. She smirked at Karina.

"You don't know that, Karina Yu?" She teased. Karina scoffed and did not bother to answer Winter's teasing. She knew that. Naunahan lang talaga sya ni Winter.

"Which Southern Hemisphere country was the world’s first to allow women the vote?" Tanong ni Jaemin. Sasagot na sana si Sunghoon pero naunahan sya ni Karina.

"New Zealand. How about that one, Winter? Hindi mo alam?" Pagyayabang ni Karina. Chaewon cleared before slamming the table weakly. 

"Excuse me mga bading ha? Pero this contest is for the whole team. Why do we feel like the both of you are competing with each other?" She scolded. Pagkatapos na pagkatapos ng tanong nya ay pumasok si Irene at tiningnan ang lima.

"Well, would you look at that. Unang araw pa lang, magkaaway na agad kayo." She said and looked at the two girls pointedly. 

"Sorry, po." They apologized. They reviewed for another hour before Irene dismissed them.

"Una ka na ba, Karina?" She asked. The younger looked at her watch and her sister.

"I can wait for you naman, Ate. Magrereview lang naman ako para sa Quiz Bee." She said. Irene looked at her own watch before looking around. Naunang umalis sakanila ang apat, kalalabas lang din nila sa office. Wala na masyadong students, maggagabi na rin kasi noong natapos ang pagrereview nila.

Irene saw Winter walking toward her chauffeur. 

"Winter Kim!" She hollered. Winter stopped in her tracks and looked back. She hurriedly walks towards the Headmistress.

"Why po, Headmistress Yu?" She asked politely. Karina rolled her eyes.

"Hala, anong Headmistress? Tayo-tayo na lang naman yung nandito. Diba sabi ko sayo, Ate na lang tawag mo sakin kapag walang tao," Winter took a glance at Karina before looking back at Irene.

"Karina is still here," she said. Irene snorted before pulling her sister and pushing her towards the younger girl.

"Can you please take her home? Nakaleave kasi yung mga drivers namin, tapos I have a date with Seulgi." Sabi nito. Winter looked at Karina and raised a brow.

"I can commute, Ate! Ayokong sumabay sa kupal na yan!"

"Language, Karina. Hindi kita papayagan magbyahe. Besides, magkatapat lang naman bahay natin!" Irene said and waved her hand. Hindi na niya hinintay pang magsalita ulit si Karina at umalis na. Karina and Winter are neighbors since birth. Hindi naman sila naging magkaclose kahit na magkatapat lang ang veranda ng kwarto nila. Their parents are close, sure. Pero they never were, palagi kasi silang ikinukumpara ng iba nilang kapitbahay. Akala mo naman sila nagpalaki sa dalawa, daig pa ang parents nila.

Seulgi is Winter's cousin. Kaya rin siguro medyo close si Winter kay Irene. 

"." Bulong ni Karina. They stood there, unmoving. Hinila ni Winter ang bag ni Karina at ang dala nitong mga libro.

"Sakay," utos nito at itinulak nang marahan si Karina sa loob ng kotse. 

"Don't push me, dickhead!" 

"Just shut up, you fool! Pagod na ako, so just get in and keep your mouth shut!" Winter said. She hopped inside the car and sat beside Karina. Their arms are close enough to make them feel the sparks. The sparks that they won't admit to themselves.
