"So?" Sky, the twin's mother asked as she looked at Winter and Karina. 

Both of them are asked to keep their hands on the table, although they cannot keep their hands from holding each other.

"Can we eat breakfast muna, Tita Mama?" Irene asked and groaned. It is too early for the scolding. Tsaka ayaw nya madamay kapag sinermonan na ng mga nanay nila ang dalawa. She's too old for this kind of thing.

"Ayaw mo lang madamay, Ate." Chaewon said and smirked. Inirapan siya ni Irene bago isubo ang bacon na kanina pa nyang tinusok ng tinidor. 

"How's the divorce going, Mommy?" Tiffany asked and got herself breakfast. She sipped her coffee and hummed. Hindi naman sila apektado masyado ni Irene sa divorce, pero their youngest is. 

Ano bang pakialam nila kung tuluyan nang hihiwalayan ng nanay nila ang wala nilang kwentang ama?

"We decided to do collaborative law divorce," Sky nodded her head. 

"Buti naman pumayag si Greg." Sabi niya. Tahimik lang na kumakain si Karina. She wanted to just disappear. Alam naman niya na siya na ang kasunod na topic. And it is not even about her relationship with Winter, it's about her future. Kung kanino siya mapupunta. And she knew she'll get to stay, because that's how it works. Wala namang pwedeng gamitin ang tatay niya para mapunta sya sakanya. 

"That's the least he can do, no?" Winter suddenly butted in. Karina held her hand and drew circles on her palm.

"Let's not meddle, Win." Bulong niya at kumain ng pancake. The younger sighed. 

"Well, I told him about how it can affect our daughters. He understood naman agad, and told me that we will settle with the lawyers na lang." Karina scoffed. Himala at naintindihan pa ng tatay nila ang situwasyon nila.

"Why can't he just sign the papers and not ask for my custody, Mom?" Karina asked. 

"He loves all of you. And he thought having your custody might be a step closer to you forgiving him." Athena said. She understands her kids more than anyone could. She knew that they will do everything to protect each other. She raised them like that.

"Ask for all of his valuable assets, Athena." Sky advised. 

"Maiba nga tayo. Ano yung nakita ko kanina sa kwarto mo Katarina?" Karina stiffened. Nobody calls her by her baptismal name. Napaiwas naman ng tingin si Winter. They are not proud of what happened, but does not mean na hindi na nila uulitin. 

"As I said, Mother, I am courting Winter. I hoped it's okay, Tita Mama." Karina looked over at Sky and smiled brightly. The mother just shrugged.

"Kung anong sagot sayo ni Winter, doon ako." 

Athena, Karina's mother scoffed. 

"May nagliligawan ba na naghahalikan nang sobrang aga?" Namula ang mga mukha nila Karina at Winter. Sakaniya talaga nagmana ang tatlong magkakapatid. Walang preno ang bibig.

"Mom naman!" Karina whined. 

"Is that true, Winter?" The younger smiled awkwardly before shrugging her shoulders unsurely. 

"That's true, Mom. Hobby nila magkiss, kahit sa school." Biglang sabi ni Chaewon. She even crossed her arms and leaned on her chair as she watch the scene unfold in front of her.

"Eh bakit hindi mo naman binabantayan, Irene?" Athena asked. Irene frowned. Napaka-pahamak talaga ng kambal. Nadamay pa siya sa gulo na dapat ay hindi na sya sasabit. 

"Busy kasi ako!" She defended herself. 

"Oh edi kailan ang engagement party?" The twins' mother asked. Biglang nasamid sa kinakain nya si Winter. 

Karina quickly handed her a glass of water. She even the younger's back.

"Mommy! We're still young," nakakunot-noong sabi ng pinakabata.

"Clearly not young enough to make out," Tiffany said with a taunting smile. Tumawa naman si Chaewon at Irene. 

Mukhang sasabog na ang dalawa sa kahihiyan pero hindi pa rin sila tinitigilan ng mga tao sa bahay.

"We're serious, Winter." Seryosong sabi ni Athena at tiningnan ang kanyang mga anak. It's bound to happen naman talaga. 

They always knew, someone from their families will fall for the other. Thankfully, ang mga bunso nila ang nagkagustuhan.

"Seryoso rin naman kami, Mom. Winter and I are still figuring out how to work things out. We won't get into a relationship with still so many problems." Karina said. She sat properly and stared into her mother's eyes.

"We don't want to risk what may be a beautiful relationship," she added. Natahimik ang lahat. 

Karina is still young, but she thinks so maturely for her age. 

"We don't want our problems to ruin our relationship. We want to be better before entering this relationship. But I promise you all, I am and wforeverrver be in love with Karina. Hindi ko po maimagine ang future ko na hindi si Karina ang kasama. It is either with her or with nobody at all." Mahabang pag-eexplain ni Winter. Karina melted at the things that she said. Because she felt the same. She held the younger's hand tightly.

There may not be a specific label that is binding them, but words and actions are enough. For now. Habang hindi pa naaayos ang gulo sa pamilya ni Karina. Habang may mga perosnal problems and traumas pa silang gustong ayusin. 

They got each other, that's what matters the most.
