“Sandeul! Where are you?” Baro called out behind the store, careful not to be too loud so that anyone else would hear him. The last thing he needed was someone to find him and call the cops again. 

     Gongchan followed behind, afraid of what they might come across. “So, he came back to life? Is that what you’re trying to say?”

     Baro looked behind a tree, and then another. “Sort of. I don’t think he’s all there. Zombies aren’t considered alive, right?”

     Still following, Gongchan shrugged. “I’m not sure. I’ve never seen one before. I know nothing about zombies. Aren’t they dangerous?”

     “I don’t know.” Baro stopped and scratched his head, wondering where Sandeul could’ve gone. “But what I do know is that our friend isn’t here.”

     In the police car, the officer was still arguing over the police radio about what he should do with his arrestee when he felt something bite his upper arm. As the officer tried to shake Sandeul off, he lost control of the car, and drove it into a large tree. The policeman’s head hit the wall of the car, knocking him out as Sandeul flew off of him, tumbling out the door that swung open in the accident.  

     Sandeul never let the bandages go, since the only memory he had was Jinyoung getting them for him, and when Baro dropped them. They were his friends, right? Sandeul let out a long groan. He didn’t like how his brain felt all foggy and how his body felt almost too numb to move with every step he took. He couldn’t even remember how this all happened!

     “Ba… ro… Ji… nnn...” Sandeul said as he continued to look for help. He was about to cross the road, but too many cars were going at a fast speed. He looked around for somewhere else to go, and kept walking, until…

     “There he is!” Baro pointed at Sandeul who was in the distance. “Kaja!”

     Sandeul finally recognized someone! “Baaa!” he smiled, limping towards the two. 

     Gongchan stood back farther than Baro, fighting back tears. “Sandeul? Are you really alive?” 

     Baro looked at Gongchan with a sympathetic frown, and put a hand on his shoulder. “Channie, remember. That’s not really him. It’s just his body. He’s only a zombie, okay? Don’t set your hopes too high.”

     Gongchan blinked away his tears and took a deep breath. “Mianhae, but I miss him.” He looked up at Sandeul, who cocked his head to the side as he wondered what they were talking about. Gongchan suddenly felt his temper rise as his hands tightened into fists and his jaw clenched. “No, you’re wrong, Baro. Sandeul is back. We’ll prove it to you!” Gongchan tried taking the bandages that Sandeul held once he saw that his hand needed to be wrapped up. 

     Sandeul started to panic because his only possession was being taken away. Once the box was out of his hands, Sandeul wanted to bite the villain that did so. 

     “Ya! I want to help you!” Gongchan dodged as Sandeul attacked. “Please, just hold still!”

     Baro stood back, watching them with his hands in his pockets. “See? The real Sandeul wouldn’t attack you like that.”

     Gongchan grabbed Sandeul’s wrist and with all his strength, kept him still. “He doesn’t understand! He’s scared, that’s all.” Gongchan tore open the package with his teeth and the hand that wasn’t keeping Sandeul from moving. He took the bandage roll and wrapped the oozing gouge. Gongchan gave him a sad smile after he finished. “Do you remember me, hyung? I’m Gongchan.”

     Sandeul first stared blankly at his newly bandaged hand, and then to the person who wrapped it. 

     “Remember?” Gongchan felt his heart starting to ache. “We were in a band together a long time ago, and I came over to your house a few times to play video games.”

     Sandeul tried to understand. Did he recognize this person? Was he a friend?  “Cha?...” 

     “Yeah! I’m Gongchan!” he rejoiced. 

     “Cha… nnn…” Sandeul grinned along with him. 

     Baro couldn’t help but join in smiling. “We should start heading to Shinwoo’s place.” His smile faded as he faced Gongchan. “We all have some explaining to do.”
