“Is it too late to call another taxi?” Gongchan asked as he felt anxious goosebumps form at his neck. Or was that… werewolf fur growing? Gongchan commanded himself not to think about it. The stress would only make him transform quicker. 

     “Nae… Sorry, guys,” Shinwoo groaned, his shoulders slumping in defeat. “With the SHINee concert starting soon, all the taxis in the area would be in use right now. I don’t know how we’ll arrive on time.”

     As the gloominess increased on everyone’s faces when no one could think of an idea, Baro looked over his shoulder, spotting a parked moped that someone left with the keys. That sparked an idea—a risky one. “Here’s the plan,” Baro whispered. “You’re not going to like it, but at this point, it’s the only way.”

     “Why do I have the feeling you’re thinking of stealing something?” Jinyoung crossed his arms. He couldn’t hide his annoyance with Baro. 

     “Because you’re right,” Baro said, but quickly added, “hear me out though. It’ll get us to the concert hall in time.”

     Everyone was silent, debating whether or not they should listen to Baro’s plan. 

     Sandeul shrugged as he did what he did best: breaking the silence, “We’re already in a sticky situation with everything going on. All we want is to perform for our Banas. We can work on fixing everything after.”

     Jinyoung took turns making eye contact with each of his friends before giving Baro his okay, “What do you have in mind?”

     Baro broke into a smile. He cracked his knuckles. “Here’s what I was thinking. Jinyoung has that super vampire strength and speed. You can carry Sandeul to the concert. And Gongchan, I’m sure you can keep up with them, since you’re–uh… you know, special.”

     Gongchan rolled his eyes as he scratched behind his werewolf ear, instinctively, “Thanks, pal.”

     “Shinwoo and I,” Baro continued as he shifted over to the shiny scooter and turned the keys, “will ride this. The five of us will meet up in our dressing room. Got it?”

     It was Sandeul’s turn to roll his eyes, “Do I have to be the one who gets carried?”

     Jinyoung picked him up bridal style, laughing, “What’s wrong with being carried, Princess? Hold onto your crutches tightly and don’t block my view. Come on, Gongchan. Take my guitar case and let’s go.”

     Gongchan let out a shaky breath before chasing after them, trying to keep up as they went through a forest and dodged trees. 

     “I really don’t like this plan,” Shinwoo huffed. “What if we get caught?”

     Baro passed him the helmet. “Here. You wear this, so if we are spotted, no one will recognize you.”

     Shinwoo took it and put it on, pulling down the visor. “And what about you?”

     “Eh, no one has caught me yet. I’ll be fine,” Baro hopped aboard the moped and Shinwoo got on behind. “Hold on tight. There’s a lot of cars out there to weave between.”

     Shinwoo gripped Baro’s shoulders as they sped down the road. He could’ve swore he heard an angry shout from behind. Perhaps it was the owner of the little vehicle, but Shinwoo didn’t dare look back. They were on a mission—a mission that would make their dreams finally come true. 

     “Can’t this thing go any faster?” Shinwoo said to the driver as he glanced at his watch. If B1A4 was going to arrive early, they should’ve been there by now. Shinwoo just had to hope they were going to make it on time.

     “If we went any faster,” Baro swerved, narrowly missing a honking car, “we’d become one of the bumper stickers of that car! Patience, Shinwoo. Let’s hope that the others make it, too.”

     Shinwoo nearly forgot about all the obstacles the other three could be facing at that moment. “What made you think sending a vampire, zombie, and werewolf on a hike was a good idea?”

     “Uh…” Baro paused. “You guys didn’t give me enough time to think everything through.”

     Both Baro and Shinwoo had a sinking feeling in the pit of their stomachs that this plan wasn’t as foolproof as first thought. A lot could be going wrong at that very moment. 

     Baro pulled off to the side to stop for a moment, looking back at Shinwoo. “You’re thinking what I’m thinking, right?”

     Shinwoo nodded, “We have to find them.”

     Without saying another word, they mutually agreed to search in the forest to find their friends.
