“...Five, six, seven, eight…” Gongchan counted out loud as their song O.K. played on the CD player. For the past hour, he had been trying to teach Sandeul a few basic dance moves with little luck. No matter how slow Gongchan demonstrated the moves, Sandeul would move the wrong arm or leg at the wrong time and the wrong way. Gongchan sighed deeply, still not wanting to give up hope. 

     Jinyoung, Shinwoo, and Baro entered the living room where the dance practice was going on. They wanted to take a break from the songwriting session they had in the bedroom, so they watched Gongchan struggling to teach Sandeul. 

     “Still not working out, huh?” Baro said with a hint of sadness in his eyes. 

     “Don’t worry. It’s coming along,” Gongchan puffed, crossing his arms. “He has one move down pat. Sandeul, show them the dance move for the part when we sing ‘I love you-u-u-u-u-u~’”

     After several seconds, Sandeul lifted his hand, tried to point with his index finger, then he violently swung his arm back and forth. 

     “No, no, Sandeul!” Gongchan took hold of his friend’s hand and showed him the correct way. “Like this. Yoooouuuuu~” He made Sandeul’s hand go with the beats, gently. 

     “Haa… ji…” Sandeul pulled his hand out of Gongchan’s grip and slapped him, “ma!...”

     Shinwoo muffled a chuckle, “I have a feeling Sandeul wants to do it himself.” Suddenly, a ringing came from Shinwoo’s pocket, so he answered his cellphone as the members watched curiously, wondering who it could be. “Yeobosaeyo?... Nae… Now?... Is it an emergency?... Okay, I’ll be over there in fifteen minutes.” He hung up and rolled his eyes, making the other four even more curious. “That was my uncle. He called me into work, even though it’s my day off. He said a lady’s kitchen down the street is flooding, and he’s too busy right now.” Shinwoo went into the bathroom to quickly change into his work shirt, and on his way out of the apartment, he took his tool box. “I’ll be back soon… I hope.”

     Gongchan’s cheek still stung, but when he rubbed it, Sandeul laughed at him. “You think this is so funny, don’t you?” Sandeul replied by slapping Gongchan’s other cheek. “Ow! Don’t you want to stay in the band?” he sneered. 

     Sandeul stopped laughing, and tilted his head. 

     “I’m just trying to help you…” Gongchan said, looking at the floor. 

     “Uh… Hyung?” Baro backed away from Jinyoung. “Why are you looking at me that way?”

     Gongchan and Sandeul looked up to see that Jinyoung seemed to be in a trance. He stared at Baro with large, hungry eyes, hissing, “What do you mean?”

     As Baro took steps towards the door, Jinyoung followed without realizing it. At an instant, Baro bolted out the door and Jinyoung ran after him, leaving Gongchan with Sandeul who began limping after them. 

     “Oh, no you don’t!” Gongchan beat him to the door to shut and lock it. “You’re not getting out on my watch.”

     “Uuuugggghhh…” Sandeul groaned with frustration, as if he was held prisoner. 

     “Trust me. This isn’t my kind of fun either,” Gongchan admitted, putting his hands on his hips. “We’re now stuck here alone, and I’m pretty sure you’re sick of me.”

     Sandeul frowned and reached out his arms, making Gongchan think he was going to be slapped again, but instead he received a zombie hug. “Chaaa… nnnn…”

     Gongchan couldn’t help but smile as he hugged him back. “It’s okay, hyung. Just please no more slapping me. You’re still quite strong, even though you’re a zombie.”

     When Sandeul parted ways, he went to the window, looking out with blank eyes. 

     “I wonder what you’re thinking about,” Gongchan said to himself, then found his eyes tearing up. “I wish you were back to normal… I wish everything was back to normal.”

     Sandeul heard sniffing so he turned around to see what it was. “Useo...bwa… Sm...ile…”
