“Jinyoung, I wouldn’t even think of performing without you,” Gongchan placed a firm hand on Jinyoung’s shoulder. “You don’t think I want to give up, too, with it being a full moon?”

     “We’re almost there,” Shinwoo cheered as he adjusted himself on Gongchan’s back. “Hwaiting! We’re so close!”

     Jinyoung nodded, and they continued until they reached the huge building surrounded with SHINee fans holding signs and light sticks. 

     Shinwoo stood on his own two feet and led the way. “Now we have to find the others.”

     After spotting the parked moped outside, they entered the back doors of the concert hall, and searched for their assigned green room. Gongchan, Shinwoo, and dizzy Jinyoung found Baro standing outside a closed door that read “B1A4.” Upon closer look, Baro’s eyebrows were furrowed in worry as he kept a strong grip of the door handle, keeping it shut as thumping could be heard from the inside. 

     “Thank goodness you guys came,” Baro sighed in relief, still holding the door handle. “On the ride here, Sandeul had a zombie episode that hasn’t stopped yet. We almost crashed a couple times.”

     Shinwoo looked both ways down the halls to make sure no one was watching. “Let us in. We need to snap Sandeul out of it before we get on stage.”

     Baro quickly opened the door, pushing the zombie back, and everyone filed in and shut the door immediately after. 

     “Huuuuuuh… gggggg…” Sandeul moaned, reaching for his friends. 

     “No, you’re not gonna get a hug until you promise you won’t eat our brains,” Baro joked, even though he knew the timing was inappropriate. 

     “Sandeul, please,” Gongchan begged, “come back to us again. We’re at the concert and we need you right now.”

     Jinyoung was facing his own problems at the moment. Thankfully, the green room had a bathroom attached where Jinyoung went to wash his face, hoping to overcome his intense hunger. Having Baro nearby was making it worse. Jinyoung looked into the mirror, his face still dripping, and gave himself a pep talk, whispering, “You’re strong, Jinyoung. You can do this. They need you. You’re going to have fun out there, and everything will be–”

     Jinyoung was interrupted by a thump in the other room. He peeked in, seeing Sandeul passed out and had fallen to the floor. As Jinyoung rushed over to the worried members to help wake him up, the green room door opened. 

     “Opening act,” a backstage manager said, staring at her clipboard, “you’re on in ten minutes. No more, no less.” She looked up from the schedule, spotting Sandeul. “Is he okay?”

     The four tried to answer at once, “He’s sleeping…” “Of course he’s okay!” “He needs to meditate.” “Oh, that’s just Sandeul.”

     “Uh, okay…” The lady listened to her headset, and as she left, she said once more, “Ten minutes!”

     Gongchan, Baro, Shinwoo, and Jinyoung huddled around Sandeul, trying to wake him up by slapping his face and shaking him. 

     “Come on, Sandeul!” Baro shouted. “Get with the program! We need you awake now!”

     Sandeul let out a groan as his eyes fluttered open. Once he processed the blurry image of his band mates looking down at him, Sandeul groaned again. “Don’t tell me… I zombied again. Did I miss the performance?”

     Jinyoung smiled, helping Sandeul sit up, “Ahni. You came back just in time.”

     “Seven minutes,” Shinwoo said, checking his watch. He dug into his backpack to pull out a razor and shaving cream and handed them to Gongchan. “You’re going to need this, unless you want a full beard by the time we’re done performing.” Gongchan raced to the bathroom after feeling stubbles on his face and neck. 

     Shinwoo could finally relax, seeing that Gongchan wasn’t completely transforming into a werewolf yet, and Sandeul recently had a zombie episode, so he should be good for the night. Jinyoung seemed to be ignoring his hunger, and Baro… Well, he was looking around the room for something valuable to stick in his pocket. “Don’t even think about it, Mister.”

     “Mweo?” Baro glanced back at Shinwoo casually. “Me? I’m not thinking of anything. You should have more trust in me, hyung.”

     Shinwoo rolled his eyes before returning to Sandeul where Jinyoung stayed by his side. “Are you ready to perform, Sandeul?”

     “Of course I’m ready!” Sandeul beamed with enthusiasm. “I hardly even have a headache after all that zombie stuff like I usually do. Sure, I might not perform as well as I used to, but I’ll make sure I have fun on stage.” He gasped suddenly, “We have only a few more minutes to get on stage! Help me up, guys!”

     Once Sandeul was on his feet, he put an arm around Shinwoo’s shoulders for support. Baro raced over to help Sandeul on the other side. He hoped that Jinyoung wouldn’t be tempted by his type B blood if he was next to Sandeul. All Jinyoung could smell now was Sandeul’s old, decayed, zombie scented blood, which disgusted him. 

     Gongchan emerged from the bathroom, adjusting his fedora, cleanly shaven. “We’re leaving now? Hyung, don’t forget this,” picking up the guitar case, he passed it to Jinyoung who smiled back. 

     “Follow my lead, everyone,” the band leader said as they left for the stage. Jinyoung took a deep breath, feeling the excitement distract him from all his worries. “Let’s fly.”
