This was the moment Jinyoung, Shinwoo, Sandeul, Baro, and Gongchan had been waiting for for years. It had been seven, in fact, that WM Entertainment had gone bankrupt. Seven years since Jinyoung had blamed himself that B1A4 didn’t sell enough concert tickets and CDs. Seven years since the band leader called every band member and told them they were breaking up. No one wanted it to happen, but it did. So much had happened since, like becoming a supernatural creature, thief, or plumber, they were still able to come together again and live out their dreams. It was about to happen… now. 

     Jinyoung’s heart beat quickly in his chest in excitement. Any moment now, the music would start. He savored these few seconds, not even remembering his vampire cravings he had moments before. 

     Shinwoo looked out into the audience. Besides the darkness, all he could see were aqua SHINee lightsticks, held by fans who probably wanted the opening act to get over with so they could see their biases. Shinwoo wondered if any of them listened to B1A4’s music… But what worried him was if there was anyone who liked their music. Were there ever any Banas? Did they all give up on and forget about B1A4? Shinwoo tried to push away his fears and focused on the present moment as they waited onstage. 

     Baro was nervous too, but for other reasons. As the band headed down the halls for the stage, Baro heard a security officer ask someone about the moped parked outside that was reported stolen. Sweat dripped from his forehead, and they hadn’t even started dancing. It was going to be a long night. 

     Sandeul sat happily in his chair, smiling wider than ever. Was he worried about anything? Absolutely not! He was in his natural habitat. If only he could be dancing with everyone else. But he couldn’t because of his injuries that were healing well, so he knew he should be thankful. After all, he died just a month ago, and could’ve permanently became a zombie. Sandeul came a long way. Being with his friends onstage made him the happiest person on earth. 

     Gongchan’s whole body ached. It wanted to—needed to transform. His inner werewolf instincts strived to take over. But Gongchan wouldn’t let that happen. Only two songs, then he could leave the scene and no one would get hurt. He pulled his lips upward into a smile, even though he hadn’t been in this much pain since Baro hit him with his car last month. Whatever happened to that car anyway?

     Catching all five members off guard, the stage lights switched on, warming their faces. A voice boomed over the loudspeaker, introducing them, “Please give a warm welcome to Jinyoung, Shinwoo, Sandeul, Baro, and Gongchan! The members of B1A4! They’re here to help get the party started! Welcome, B1A4!”

     As the familiar tune began playing, Gongchan’s smile became genuine as his worries were washed away with the music. Baro felt calm as well. All five boys felt at home on stage. They were home.
