     The next several weeks flew by quickly. Sandeul made a full recovery and he was back to his old, energetic, annoying, childish, lovable self. 

     On the night of the next full moon, Gongchan was prepared and scheduled nothing except a stroll through the woods where he could transform without harming anyone. When he returned home exhausted and in rags, Sandeul and Shinwoo had a large meal, new clothes, and warm bed waiting for the maknae so he could recover. 

     Shinwoo had been working very hard at his uncle’s plumbing business, and earned a raise and bonus. With his extra tips he received for being so kind and polite to his customers, Shinwoo rented a recording studio to record his latest song with the other two members. 

From morning to night,

     “Hyung, this song is great!” Sandeul beamed. “Our Banas will love it. I’m sure of it.”

     Shinwoo giggled as he hung up his headphone set. “I’m glad to hear that. I was a little worried that no one would like it. It has been quite a long time since I wrote a song. I had to polish up my rusty skills.”

     “Your skills couldn’t have gotten that bad,” Gongchan said after taking a swig of water. “Did you write ‘Roses are red, violets are blue. I really love oo-yoo’?” he and Sandeul bursted into laughter. 

     Shinwoo pretended to be annoyed, folding his arms across his chest. “Why would I write a song about milk?”

     “Maybe because you’re the one who finished the last carton?” 

     “I did not!”

     “But Sandeul said he didn’t—”

     “Uh, guys?...” they turned to Sandeul as he raised his hand sheepishly. “So, I might’ve finished the milk to make a milkshake... A very large one.”

     Meeting each other’s eyes, Gongchan and Shinwoo broke into a laughing fit. Of course it was Sandeul. That would also solve the case of the missing ice cream. 

     After a couple more times renting the studio, A Day of Love was recorded and edited to release to their fans. 

     B1A4 opened a multitude of local concerts and were growing in popularity once again. They were ecstatic about being on stage so frequently. But even while finally living their dream, the feeling of something missing never left them. 

     One day, B1A4 received a phone call from a small, rising entertainment company that offered the three friends a very tempting contract that seemed to have no loopholes, paid well, and seemed all around fair. They would have their own fan meetings, concerts, albums, and even their own light sticks! Shinwoo, Sandeul, and Gongchan agreed to sign immediately after meeting with the company’s CEO who was very kind, understanding, and generous. The members left Sprout Entertainment with smiles on their faces. 

     “This is fantastic!” Gongchan cheered, tap dancing on the cement as they waited for the bus. “It’s happening! Our dreams are coming true! Nothing can stop us now.”

     “If only that was the truth for all five of us…” Shinwoo said, bringing down the mood to a serious level. “No matter how far we make it in our career, we can’t forget the other two who helped us get here. We shouldn’t…” his voice trailed off as he noticed the empty look on Sandeul’s face, giving Shinwoo flashbacks from his zombie days. “Sandeul, gwaenchana?”

     Sandeul was staring into a dark alley until Shinwoo said his name, sounding worried. “I’m fine. I just thought I saw… someone.”

     “Jeongmal? Who?” Gongchan questioned as they all strained their eyes, trying to see what Sandeul spotted.

     “I think I saw Jinyoung.”
