Baro, Shinwoo, and Jinyoung received a text from Gongchan saying that he got a hold of a manager for a group’s concert, and he received permission for B1A4 to perform. So they met up at the apartment to share their excitement, but it was noticeable that Gongchan wasn’t as cheerful as the rest. 

     “What’s wrong?” Baro asked as they sat around the table to enjoy the meal Jinyoung made. “Is it the group that the concert is for? Is it someone you don’t like? Who’s concert is it?”

     Gongchan held his chopsticks, but didn’t take any food. He wasn’t hungry anymore. “Oh, no, it’s not that.” He spread out the poster that was folded in his pocket. “I’m sure you’ve all heard of the band SHINee.”

     Their eyes went wide in disbelief when they saw SHINee’s concert poster in front of them. “Daebak!” Jinyoung gasped. “You really got us booked for SHINee's concert? Wow! How did you do that?”

     Gongchan shrugged, his chin rested on his palm as he poked his food with his chopsticks. “I don’t know. I just contacted their manager and asked if we could perform. He sounded relieved since the opening act cancelled earlier today.”

     “What good luck!” Shinwoo said after swallowing a mouthful of noodles. “But that still doesn’t explain why you’re so gloomy. Care to explain, Gongchan?”

     With a sigh, Gongchan pointed to the date on the poster, “It’s this Saturday. I can’t perform on that day.”

     “Why not?” Jinyoung asked, cocking his head. “What plans do you have that are more important than performing the opening act of SHINee’s concert?”

     “I don’t have any plans,” he groaned before explaining. “That’s the night of the full moon…” When no one seemed to be catching on, he continued, “I’m a werewolf, remember?”

     “Oh,” they said in unison. 

     “Well, it can’t be that bad,” Jinyoung shrugged. “We’ll just perform two songs, and then you can go off to do your thing.”

     “It’s more complicated than that,” Gongchan’s eyebrows furrowed. “I never know when I’ll transform exactly. It just... happens. And when it does, it’s hard to understand what’s going on. I might end up hurting someone!”

     “So… what are we going to do then?” Jinyoung asked the group, feeling like giving up hope. 

     “Gongchan,” Shinwoo took his turn, “it’s only a few minutes long and it’s early enough in the night. You could come with us, and if everything seems to be going well, you can perform. If not, well… Sandeul is already sitting out of the dancing. I don’t think the audience would mind if you were missing. I mean–not in a bad way.”

     After thinking about it, Gongchan took a deep breath and nodded, “Okay. I’ll try.”

     With a full mouth, Baro cheered with his fist in the air, “Hwaiting!”

     They laughed at him. Even Gongchan joined in before eating as his appetite returned. After feeling full, he left to bring out their music sheets, “It looks like we have a performance to prepare for after all.”
