Chapter 1

Accidentally Changing The Story of a Web Drama

March 2nd, 2020

In a normal apartment and in a normal girl’s bedroom, Go Jieun...correction. Choi Kyungmi was fixing her hair through her white vanity while getting ready for her first year of high school. After Jieun was taken back to the hospital’s room, the doctor concluded that, aside from a sprained wrist, she had mild amnesia, resulting from the accident she had from the hit. It meant that….she doesn’t remember anything before the accident, including her childhood. That’s why she also couldn’t recognize her own mother. She felt lost and she didn’t know what to do, so she decided to play along for now by following the woman, which happened to be her ‘mother’, to their spacious apartment. Jieun wondered how she ended up in someone else’s body and why she couldn’t remember anything after the accident. As soon as she got discharged, she began researching for information to find an answer, taking her almost two weeks to realize where she was at.

~ Flashback ~

Jieun went for a stroll around the neighborhood to be familiar with it and of course to find answers. She had to beg her mother to let her leave the house, with the excuse of wanting to regain some memories. Curiously, her memories from her previous life were intact, but she didn’t have any of Kyungmi’s memories, including the ones before the accident or past events, and even she couldn’t recognize people she supposedly knew. It was an unexpected event since the only thing she remembered from Kyungmi’s memory was falling on the street and being crushed by a car. Jieun still wondered how she survived that accident even without broken bones.

No, I should be glad that this body doesn’t have broken bones, or else it will be me who feels the pain “. Jieun thought with a pout as she arrived at the convenience store near her building and bought some snacks. As she finished buying, she walked on her way back to her apartment. She reached for the elevator and waited for it to arrive. She was so immersed in her thoughts that she didn’t notice a person waiting for the elevator as well. The sound of the bell broke her cloud of thoughts and let out a sigh as she stepped into the elevator once it opened along with the person that was next to her. Jieun took a glance at the person and looked forward again. She frowned when she noticed something familiar about this person, more specifically, this girl. Jieun decided to step back to take a good look at the girl and began scanning her from head to toe. “Short black hair, with a dot on the side of her left eye, kind of short stature and white skin….I saw her somewhere….”. Jieun tilted her head to the side while trying to remember where she saw this girl. Then the light bulb inside of her head just at a lightning speed. Her eyes widened in shock as dropped to the ground. “No way….”. Her gasp reached the ears of the girl as the latter turned her head toward Jieun. Jieun looked away as she tried to act normal. When she reached her floor, which was the 5th floor, she immediately walked out of the elevator and ran toward her apartment. She clumsily pressed the code before stepping inside of her apartment rapidly as she ran toward her room, forgetting to greet her now-confused mother. Jieun closed her door, dropping the bag of snacks on the floor while pacing around her room, beginning to match the pieces she had been searching for. “I'm 100% sure that the girl I just saw now was Wang Jarim, the main female protagonist of the web drama ‘Love Revolution’, but….that means I’m inside of the web drama! “. She thought as she bit her thumbnail. “This is ridiculous! How did I end up in my favorite web drama! Is that even possible?! “.

~ End of the Flashback ~

“Then it means that I’m some kind of a character from this web drama….”. Kyungmi crossed her arms while deeply thinking. “But I don’t recall any character named Choi Kyungmi….Maybe I am an extra? What’s my purpose here? ”. “Since I’m inside of the web drama, maybe I can go back to normality after the program ends. Yes, that's right! Maybe there’s a chance to go back home! I just have to live peacefully here until it ends! “. Kyungmi nodded with determination. She stood up, took her backpack, and walked out of her bedroom. She walked toward the open kitchen, where her mother was making some egg sandwiches for breakfast. Kyungmi awkwardly fixed her skirt before greeting her and sitting down at the dining table.

“Oh, good morning! “. Her mother beamed as she grabbed the plate of sandwiches and placed it down on the table. “Dig in! I made your favorite sandwich“. She said as she went to the fridge to get some milk.

“Thank you…”. Kyungmi softly replied as she carefully took half of the sandwich and began eating. There were so many questions she wanted to ask her mother since she tried looking through Kyungmi’s cell phone, but it seems that she deleted every single picture from her photo gallery and every social media, as if she really wanted to end her life….” Then the accident….was an attempt of….”. She shook her head and focused on eating. She saw the cup of milk placed on the table by her mother as the latter took a seat across from her. The silence was kind of awkward for both of them and Kyungmi’s lips were itching to ask questions.

“Mom…”. Kyungmi softly called her.

“Yes, dear? “. Her mother attentively looked at her as she was eager to hear her voice.

“Uh….”. Kyungmi placed her half-eaten sandwich down and clasped her hands together, resting them on her lap. “It’s because I don’t remember a lot from the past….”. Kyungmi started as she kept giving glances at her mother, monitoring her reactions. “Why is it just the two of us? “. “There, I dropped the first bomb “. She thought as she inhaled a deep breath.

“Oh….”. Her mother’s reaction portrayed something sad, which Kyungmi wondered if it was something bad. “Don’t tell me I’m in those families where the father had an affair with a younger woman and abandoned his family or the one who is addicted to alcohol and gambling “. She prayed it was neither of them. “Your dad….passed away when you were thirteen “. Kyungmi blinked for a few minutes. “That was unexpected “. She thought. In her previous life, her father was kind of aggressive and had some anger issues, so in the end, her parents got divorced because of that. So she wondered what kind of person Kyungmi’s father was like. “He died while trying to save a child from being hit by a car “. Her mother explained. “That’s why I got scared when I was contacted by the hospital. Because I was afraid to lose you the same way I lost your father “. She whispered as she wiped some upcoming tears from her eyes with a tissue. Kyungmi pouted with sadness at the thought of losing someone.

“What was he like? “. Kyungmi asked out of curiosity. Her mother softly smiled as she took a photo frame from the counter and passed it to her.

“He was a bright person, full of compassion, kindness and proactive “. Kyungmi’s mother explained with a nostalgic smile on her face. “He liked interacting with people, whenever someone is familiar or a stranger “. Kyungmi couldn’t help but mimic her mother’s smile. Just hearing this description, she could guess Kyungmi had an amazing father. “Your father was an entrepreneur. He had this project about helping elder society from poverty. It was really inspiring “.

“Did he get to accomplish it? “. Kyungmi asked.

“He did “. Her mother nodded in affirmation. “But after your father passed away, someone else bought the property of the company, so now it belongs to that person “. Kyungmi pouted at the news. “It would have been nice if this family could have kept running it. It seems like a nice project “.

“How about you? “. Kyungmi asked, embarrassed that she knew so little about her ‘family’.

“I work as a secretary in a financial company. Nothing special “. She shrugged her shoulders.

“But is this something you like? “.

“Mm….”. Her mother thought for a bit. “Not really. I’m just working because I have to earn money, but it wasn’t the job I wanted in the beginning “.

“And what did you want to become? “. She curiously asked.

“A game developer “. Her mother replied. “When I was your age, I was so crazy about video games that I wanted to create one of my own “.

“Really?! “. Kyungmi watched with amusement at her mother. In her previous life, aside from being a fan of webtoon and Kdramas, she was a fanatic of video games, especially League of Legends, Overwatch, you name them and she would know right away.  “But why didn’t you go that path? “.

“It was mostly because the company didn’t appreciate my work, plus of being a woman….you know that in my times, jobs like that didn’t fit for a woman “. Kyungmi frowned with annoyance at that answer. Of course, it would have been that reason and she hated this society for underestimating the capacity of women. She then got confused when she saw her mother laughing.

“What’s so funny? “. Kyungmi blinked in confusion.

“It’s just...this is the first time we ever had a proper conversation “. Kyungmi felt bad when she heard that. This situation was like in her previous life, after her parents got divorced, she distanced herself from her mother and focused on being in her own world. “ I guess Kyungmi had the same situation after her father passed away “. She thought. Kyungmi cleared and scratched the back of her neck.

“Mom…”. Kyungmi softly called her. When she got her attention, she answered. “If I ever...hurt you with my words and actions, I’m sorry...I promise that from now on I will be a better daughter “. “Yes, this will do. Since I couldn’t be a better daughter in my previous life, I should at least be a good one in this timeline “. Her mother looked shocked for a moment before softening her smile into a gentle smile as she reached her hand to caress her daughter’s cheek.

“Alright “. She nodded in agreement. “I will be a better mother too “.

“And….I would like to meet dad too….”. She said with hesitation while taking glances at her mother one at a time. Her mother softly gazed at her with a small smile before resting the hand that was on her daughter’s cheek on her hand before patting it with assurance.

“Of course...when we have free time, let’s go meet him “.

Kyungmi bid goodbye to her mother as she made her way downstairs to exit the building. “After my first day of school, I should write down every single detail about the real Kyungmi. That way, if I bump into someone she knew, I can act like the real Kyungmi “. She thought as she nodded with determination. She made her way to the bus stop when she spotted two familiar faces. She stopped short and dropped in shock when she recognized them. The one with a cup-bowl haircut was her favorite main character, Gong Jooyoung, while the one with large bangs was Lee Kyungwoo, Jooyoung’s best friend. “This is really ‘Love Revolution’. Wow~ they are really handsome from a close distance “. They were entering the bus at the same time she made her way there too. She was startled when she spotted Wang Jarim there too. “Amazing! Am I witnessing a scene from episode 1 from a close look? “. She stood behind Wang Jarim and saw that Jooyoung was having trouble paying the bus fare. “If I arrived before Wang Jarim, I would have paid him right away “. Kyungmi pouted. Just then she saw Wang Jarim hopping the bus while Jooyoung stepped aside to let her in.

“I’m sorry “. Kyungmi heard Joyoung saying it. Then Wang Jarim stepped forward and looked at the bus driver.

“For two people. I will pay his too “. She said. “Wow~ As expected from the main female character “. Kyungmi thought while mentally clapping. She saw Wang Jarim paying for Jooyoung and her bus fare as he thanked her. When Jooyoung stepped inside, Kyungmi went up and paid for her bus fare too before heading to the back of the bus, looking for a spot. She saw a spot behind Wang Jarim so she headed there and sat behind her. Then her eyes traveled to Jooyoung and Kyungwoo. “I can’t believe I’m actually seeing them! I guess coming to this world isn’t so bad either “. The bus suddenly moved and Kyungmi’s eyes widened in horror when she saw Jooyoung suddenly losing his balance while his friend was trying to grab him. In the end, Jooyoung ended up grabbing Jarim’s collar. Kyungmi slowly brought her hands over to cover it from the shock. “I can now be sure that I’m inside of ‘Love Revolution’ “. She thought as she watched the exact scene from the web drama. Kyungmi covered her eyes with her hands out of embarrassment. Now she remembered why she didn’t watch this scene entirely. “I’m not the one who grabbed her collar by accident, but why am I the one feeling embarrassed? “. She thought, not noticing the frown of confusion of Lee Kyungwoo when he took a glance at her. She opened her fingers a little and saw Jooyoung apologizing to Jarim before turning around to avoid her because of embarrassment. Kyungmi took a peek through her fingers and watched Kyungwoo laughing from the situation while Jooyoung was blushing from embarrassment. She couldn’t help but laugh as well. Now she knew why she was standing Jooyoung so much.

Kyungmi entered her designated classroom, which was Class 1-3, and looked around the place. It was filled with students from her age. “Is this the same classroom as Gong Jooyoung? “. She thought. Then she spotted Lee Kyungwoo already sleeping on his desk, which was in the middle line from the last row of the classroom. Kyungmi sighed as she made her way to the back. She was looking for a spot when she saw another of her favorite characters, Yang Minji. “OMG….is that Yang Minji? “. She was mentally fangirling that she didn’t notice her favorite character greeting her.

“Hi “. Minji greeted her.

“Oh! Oh..hi “. Kyungmi shyly greeted as she lifted her palm.

“Are you from this class, too? “. She asked, which Kyungmi nodded in affirmation. “Cool! I’m Yang Minji, and these are my friends, Oh Ahram “. She presented a girl with blonde hair and bangs, who was eating a lollipop. “And Wang Jarim “.

“Hi, I’m Choi Kyungmi “. Kyungmi greeted them as well while the two girls waved at her with amicable smiles.

“I already know her “. Jarim said to her friends as she looked at Kyungmi. “You live in the same building as me, right? “.

“Do you remember me? “. Kyungmi looked at her with widened eyes while pointing at herself. “To be recognized by the female lead character, it’s truly an honor “.

“How can’t I when you look at me with hawk eyes every time we bump into each other at the elevator? “. Jarim joked with her poker face. Kyungmi blushed with embarrassment as she tried to explain to them.

“Please, don’t misunderstand! It was because you looked familiar- “.

“It's alright. I don’t feel offended “. Jarim replied. “Anyways, let’s get along “. A spark suddenly hit Kyungmi’s heart. This is the first time she’s interacting with people, and actually having real conversations with them. Kyungmi softly smiled at them before nodding.

“I wish you could be my seatmate but someone already took it “. Ahram pouted at Kyungmi.

“It’s alright “. Kyungmi assured her.

“You could sit next to me “. Minji suggested as she pointed at the desk next to Kyungwoo’s. “Maybe there are other desks to sit…..”. Kyungmi scanned the classroom and saw that all of them except the one next to Kyungwoo were already taken. “Maybe not….”. Kyungmi mentally sighed before flashing a smile at them.

“Sure “. She replied before taking a seat at the desk while leaving her backpack at the side of her desk. The bell rang and everyone went to their spot as a teacher came in with an inexpressive face. She could guess it was the homeroom teacher. As soon as everyone sat in their spots, the teacher introduced himself as he began writing his name on the blackboard JO YEON SA, before turning around to face the students.

“There’s no shortening of class because it’s the first day of school so do your best “. He began explaining as he rested his hands on the podium. “I hope you won’t do anything to wear me out on the first day of class “. Then his gaze fell on Kyungwoo sleeping, which Kyungmi followed as well and shook her head. “He’s sleeping? “. The teacher asked with sarcasm as everyone turned around as well. “Forget it. End of assembly “. The teacher announced before leaving. Then some students stood up to be with their friends while others went to visit other classrooms.

“Kyungmi-ah! “. She turned around to see Minji waving her hand to let her come into their group. “Take a seat next to Ahram “.

“Oh...okay “. Kyungmi nodded as she made her way to the desk next to Ahram’s and sat next to her.

“In which school were you at? “. Minji asked.

“Ah? “. Kyungmi looked puzzled at first before replying. “Ah….Baekchil Middle School “. She replied, remembering that her mother mentioned the middle school she used to attend. “I’m glad I asked her about it “. Kyungmi praised herself in her mind.

“Really? Cool “. Minji nodded as well as Ahram, while admiring her facial features. “You are pretty, almost to the level of our Jarim “.

“What? “. Kyungmi blinked with confusion at the statement. “There’s no way I'm as pretty as Jarim “. She nervously laughed.

“Even a pretty girl like her says she isn’t pretty. What should I expect from myself? “. Ahram commented as she bit her lollipop. Kyungmi already knew every description of the characters so she was trying to be extra careful with Oh Ahram, why? Because she was a blackbelt holder while training boxing. We can say that she was the typical girl crush of every drama.

“What are you saying? “. Kyungmi chuckled as she amicably patted Ahram’s arm. “You are pretty too “.

“Really? “. Ahram beamed, already taking a liking to Kyungmi.

“You are really pretty, Kyungmi “. Minji complimented. “I’m sure that in a few days you will have fans in our school “.

“I doubt that….”. Kyungmi shyly smiled as she scratched the back of her neck. It was the first time she ever received compliments about her beauty. What can she say? The Jieun from the previous life wasn’t that pretty while Kyungmi was the image of an angel carved by the great goddess of beauty. She was sure that she was pretty popular in middle school. As they continued talking, she saw Jooyoung and another friend entering the classroom, making their way to Kyungwoo. Kyungmi recognized the other friend as Kim Byunghoon. Although he made some disgusting actions, she still finds him cute. She saw the latter sitting in front of Kyungwoo while preparing to let out a burp. “Oh no….”. She thought. Byunghoon let out the burp, the smell arriving at Kyungwoo’s nose. That guy woke up from the smell and began whining about it as Jooyoung and Byunghoon laughed. “I just hope he doesn’t burp in this way “. Kyungmi hoped.

“Why are you stinking up someone else’s class, you ? “. Kyungmi saw a guy with an orange jumper and curly hair with glasses sitting next to Byunghoon. She recognized him as Ahn Kyungmin, Jooyoung and Kyungwoo’s friend, and was also known as a loner since birth. “Well….he’s no different from me since I never dated since birth too “. Kyungmi thought with a pout. She glanced in their direction and her eyes widened when she saw Byunghoon getting ready to let a burp out. She immediately pressed her nose with her fingers just as he let the burp out. She could hear the whines of her new friends and the laughs of the boys. “Although he’s cute, that was disgusting “. Kyungmi thought as she fanned her front to get rid of the smell. She looked up in the guys’ direction when she saw Jooyoung suddenly taking big steps backward before leaving the classroom. “What the….? “. Kyungmi tilted her head to the side.

“That was disgusting “. Minji shook her head while sighing.

“I want to rip his mouth “. Ahram muttered as she glared at Byunghoon.

“Let’s forget about it and go to the convenience store “. Jarim suggested as she stood up along with Minji and Ahram. “Kyungmi, are you coming? “.

“Oh? Oh! Sure “. Kyungmi nodded as she stood up as well.

The first day wasn’t so bad for Kyungmi. She got to know her new friends, got their phone numbers as well as was introduced in a group chat. She never experienced these kinds of things in her previous life and she wondered why she never had the chance to make friends. Was it because of fear of rejection? Who knows? But right now, she somehow felt happy making friends and wished she could do well in this life. As she was chatting with her friends through the group chat while sitting on the couch of the living room, a message from an unknown username popped up on the screen.

“What's this? “. Kyungmi murmured as she pressed it, leading to Instagram as she saw the message.

Seri.K: Hi Kyungmi. It's me, Kang Seri. We went to the same middle school. I was wondering how you were doing since you are the talk in our school. We should catch up! When do you have time?

“Kang Seri? “. Kyungmi arched an eyebrow as she looked up, trying to remember the name, but even if she tried harder, she couldn't remember the face of that said girl. “She’s not even in the story…..”. She found it already weird that an unnamed extra like her was interacting with the well-known characters like nothing. “Perhaps….is the writer changing the webtoon? No, there's no way. I’m supposed to be in a web drama, which has some different points of view from the webtoon...what is it? What’s my purpose in this world? “. She deeply thought while thinking about the probabilities of her being inside of the drama. “Maybe I should get deeper in the story…”.

She then stood up and went to her bedroom. She looked through the stand to find a blank journal and took it with her to her desk. She sat down, took a pen, and opened the journal to write down every single detail about the real Kyungmi. “What I know right now about the real Kyungmi is that she might have a friend called Kang Seri, who attended the same middle school….plus, I have to make sure to know what are the likes and dislikes of Kyungmi….or maybe I can put the excuse that those are side effects of the accident? “. Kyungmi exhaled as she bit her thumbnail while thinking hard about it. “This city is big and there’s no way I will meet with every single person the real Kyungmi used to know. If I can have at least a piece of her memory, it will be much easier for me to live as her “.

“For now, let’s leave her...I need to get used to this world first “. She said as she nodded with determination in her eyes.

The next day, Kyungmi just walked out of the apartment and made her way to the elevator. When it arrived, she spotted Wang Jarim already there.

“Hi, Jarim “. She waved at her.

“Good morning “. Jarim gave her a small smile. Kyungmi already knew she had a hard time opening up to people right away but she knew Jarim had a kind heart so she didn’t feel offended by her cold gestures. Just receiving a smile from Jarim was enough for her. Arriving on the first floor, they began walking, heading toward the bus stop that leads to school. They began having small talks to get to know each other, with Jarim opening up to Kyungmi a little more. At the bus stop, Kyungmi spotted Gong Jooyoung and Lee Kyungwoo waiting for the bus as well. Kyungmi took a glance at the boys and wondered if it was around this time that Jooyoung thought that meeting Jarim was something related to destiny. “I guess I will have to see some broken hearts “. She thought. “Kyungmi-ah “.

“Ah? “. Kyungmi turned around to focus on Jarim.

“I thought about it since yesterday and I wondered if you would like to walk with me to school every day, since we are practically neighbors “.

“Really? “. Kyungmi’s eyes widened. “Won’t you feel uncomfortable? “.

“Why would I? You are my friend anyway “. Jarim replied with an indifferent expression. Kyungmi hid her shy smile as she silently squealed with joy. She cleared before answering.

“Sure, but I take some time to get ready so if you can’t wait for me for the next 5 minutes, you can just go on your own. I may catch you at the bus stop “.

“Okay, that will work too “. Jarim nodded in agreement. Kyungmi nodded as well before taking a glance at Jooyoung. “Good, I made a chance for Jooyoung to get close to Jarim. Gong Jooyoung, you better talk to her on time “. She thought. Then the bus arrived and the girls hopped in. Kyungmi waited for her turn to pay for the bus fare as Jarim already paid hers. She took her T-card and put it on the machine but it rejected the payment.

“Huh? “. Kyungmi tilted her head to the side and tried again but it declined again. “What the….I’m sure I charged it yesterday! “.

“Is there a problem? “. The bus driver asked.

“One moment please “. She said as she looked through her backpack to look for some money to pay when someone behind her came and said.

“For two people, please “. She halted from searching and looked back to see Lee Kyungwoo paying for their bus fares. She blinked in confusion, wondering why he did pay for an extra like her.

“Thank you….”. Kyungmi managed to mumble as she made her way to Jarim without taking her eyes away from Kyungwoo. She took a seat next to her just as the bus began moving. “What’s this? Why did he pay mine when I could perfectly pay with money? Was he in a hurry? “. She wondered as she kept staring at him, who was standing since there were no seats left to sit.

“Kyungmi-ah “. Jarim called her and Kyungmi turned to her with surprise, since the latter was so immersed in her thoughts. “Are you okay? What are you staring at? “.

“N-Nothing “. Kyungmi nervously laughed as she zipped off her backpack while feeling a little embarrassed for staring too much at him.

Kyungmi and the girls arrived at the convenience store of the school to get some snacks and drinks. While Minji and Ahram went for snacks, Jarim and Kyungmi went to get drinks. As she looked through the beverages, Kyungmi took a glance at Jooyoung, who was looking at her direction while holding a bottle of banana milk. She cleared and looked back at Jarim trying to choose her drink.

“Jarim-ah “. Kyungmi called her, the latter turning to her. “Don’t you feel like drinking banana milk today? “.

“Banana milk? “. Jarim looked at her with arched eyebrows. Kyungmi nodded in response. “Mm….I thought about it but since the weather is hot today, I’m craving for some cola “. Jarim replied as she took out a can of cola.

“I ....see “. Kyungmi forced a smile as she mentally sighed. She took a can of cider and took a glance at Jooyoung, who looked defeated because Byunghoon was holding a bottle of banana milk while Kyungwoo just laughed at the situation. Sighing, Kyungmi was about to leave when she remembered that she didn’t return money to Kyungwoo. She looked back at the refrigerator before taking an extra soda and left to pay for them.

During the last few classes of the day, Kyungmi kept getting messages from the girl named Seri, and she was starting to get annoyed by the vibrations of her cellphone.

Should I just reply to her that I don’t want to meet her? But then again I need information about Kyungmi’s past since I just know things mom said about her, but I can tell that there are things that Kyungmi never told mom...Should I reply? Should I not? “. Kyungmi closed her eyes as she pouted, feeling conflicted by her own thoughts.

“Hey “. Her clouds of thoughts vanished when Kyungwoo talked to her.

“Huh? “.

“If you are not going to reply to your messages, then put it in silent mode. You are disturbing my sleep “.

“Oh...sorry “. Kyungmi whispered as she looked through the message before replying.

C.K: Okay, let’s meet up.

She put her phone under her desk and went back to focus on the class. Her last class ended, with everyone dismissed from the classroom. Her seatmate Kyungwoo already left and it was her with her friends. “Aish…. I couldn’t even pass him the beverage before because he was sleeping…maybe tomorrow “.

“Kyungmi-ah “. Minji called her as she stood up next to her desk. “Let’s go have some cake “. She suggested.

“Oh, sorry. But I already made plans with a friend “. Kyungmi apologized with a pout as she stood up while swinging the strap of her backpack over her left shoulder.

“Really? Too bad “. Minji pouted as well. “Nothing to do then “.

“Don’t worry. I will eat her slice then “. Ahram smiled at Kyungmi and waved at her. “Have fun at your meeting “.

“Thanks “. Kyungmi giggled as she waved at them as well. “See you tomorrow “.

She left the building as she headed toward the bus stop. She looked through Google Maps to find the address Kang Seri just sent to her and looked for the right bus to take. It took her almost twenty minutes to arrive at her destination, plus ten more minutes of walking around to find the said coffee shop. She then found it, which was some vintage-style coffee shop with lots of plants, giving the concept of a flower shop. Kyungmi took a deep breath and stepped inside of the place. She looked around the place to find Kang Seri. Since she didn’t save her number, she couldn’t see her profile picture, which made it difficult to identify her.

“Kyungmi-ah “. Kyungmi turned around to see a girl raising her arm so she could be noticed. Kyungmi stopped short when she saw the girl with long black hair, who looked like a cat, with sharp eyes and a high nose, but still gave a gentle vibe. As soon as she saw her, she felt a sharp pain at the side of her head. She silently moaned in pain as she held the side of her head with a hand, trying to endure the pain. Then some scenes that she didn’t remember seeing suddenly appeared like rolls of a movie. They were parts where Seri and she were laughing at each other while enjoying a midnight snack in front of her house. Another scene was them studying together for a test, and another one was them arguing about something which ended up with Seri weeping in tears. Kyungmi gasped for air as the sudden pain in her head drained her energy and almost collapsed if it wasn’t for someone who held her tight. She slowly looked up and saw Kang Seri holding her while staring at her with both shock and concern. “Kyungmi-ah, are you okay? “. “What’s this? Why do Kyungmi's memories suddenly appear like that? “. She wondered as she looked with daze at Seri. “There must be something triggering in these memories….I have to find out “.
