A week has passed since Byulyi was released and the younger woman had been studying hard in her own apartment. Yongsun understood and respected Byulyi’s need for space and privacy so the older woman left her to it.
It was six in the morning when Yongsun had woken up to get ready for work. She grabbed the sandwich that she made the previous night with leftover chicken and cucumbers and put it into her bag.
Yongsun always loved prepping her own meals.
Seeing that Byulyi now lives opposite her, she decided to make an extra portion of the sandwich and bring it to Byulyi.

She couldn’t even hear Yongsun’s voice. Just her own heartbeat.
Yongsun closed the door gently behind her and headed to work.

Especially after the way she treated her this morning.
Byulyi was never involved in a serious relationship and it was obvious.
“Welcome, dear, what can I help you with today?”
“Ahjumma, what kind of flower should I buy if I want to tell someone that I’m sorry and that they’re beautiful?”
To say that Byulyi was embarrassed with a bouquet of red roses in her hands is an understatement. She never thought she’d be buying flowers for someone.
But if an ahjumma who’s worked in a flower shop her entire life said tha
