hold on
all my starsYou can count on it, I'm where you left me
I can count on you to show me the way
We can keep it light, we're going somewhere
I won't try to fight it, don't feel like it
“Seo, please. I really need to talk to her.” Byulyi pleaded Officer Seohyun who was on duty at the laundry.
“It’s Officer Seohyun to you and no. But, you can make an appointment. Would you like to make an appointment?”
Byulyi blew a puff of air, "No. I'm good." Byulyi went back to her station, folding whatever laundry was passed to her.
While listening to Wheein whine about how there'll be no Tteokbokki Tuesday this week because one of the officers messed up the delivery, Byulyi caught Yongsun near the mail room just opposite the laundry room. The inmate dropped the sheets in her hands and pushed an empty trolley towards the door.
"Officer Seohyun, I need to go pick up the dirty laundry from Medical."
Officer Seohyun's eyes widened, "Oh? I thought the Boss was supposed to be folding only clean laundry?"
"Yeah, well, tough times." Byulyi rolled her eyes and Seohyun let her out.
Looking around to make sure no one was near her, Byulyi cleared , "Uh, I need to talk to you. Can I make an appointment?"
Yongsun turned to the source of voice, clearly surprised, "Oh, uh, sure. I'll see you after lunch?"
"Right. Later."
Byulyi pushed the trolley back into laundry, when she was met with Seohyun's mocking smile. "Tough time's over, so the Boss is back to folding clean laundry."
. . .
Yongsun sighed. Byulyi had been sitting opposite her and staring at the ceiling for at least fifteen minutes. "You asked for this session, Byulyi. You can't keep wasting our sessions by staring at the ceiling every single time."
"I am the only one who cares about the women here, you know?" Byulyi said as she looked away from the ceiling and looked at Yongsun.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah." Byulyi sat up straight on her chair, "And I don't usually bash people. I don't like getting my hands dirty. And the swollen knuckles? I hate that too. But you know what I hate more? Drugs. So don't you dare," Byulyi got up from her chair and towered over Yongsun, "accuse me of bringing drugs in or supplying the women with drugs ever again, because I will bash you and I will make sure you leave this place in a coffin."
Yongsun nodded so lightly she didn't know if Byulyi saw it. But the younger woman did because she went back to her seat. "Good."
The psychologist swallowed the lump in , "Then give me a name."
