these broken hands of mine
all my starsTake a breath
I close my eyes
I am lost, but try to find
What it is in this life
That gives me strength enough to fight
For something more

Byulyi was deep into her sleep when she was awoken by a familiar voice. She opened her eyes and realised that it was almost time for evening count. She took a quick nap after dinner instead of showering. The Boss opened the door to her unit and immediately heard Yongsun’s panicky voice.
“Hey? What’s going on?” Byulyi asked, her voice still raspy.
Byulyi rubbed the remaining of sleep from her eyes, getting a clearer view of Yongsun being dragged out of her cell by Officer Seohyun.
“OFFICER!” Officer Seohyun turned to look at Byulyi. “Want to tell me what’s going on? Does Hyejin know about this?”
“We found a contraband in her unit. She’s going to the Hole. And no, the information came straight to me.” Officer Seohyun said and nodded in Officer Sooyoung’s direction, signalling for her to Yongsun to the Hole.
“It’s the bracelet. They came and tossed my cell. They knew what it was.” Yongsun tried to sound calm, but Byulyi could hear the fear from her voice. “Help me, please.” Yongsun’s eyes were b with tears and Byulyi felt a pang to her heart.
Because Byulyi’s head was so far up her own that she hadn’t stopped to think about Hyeri’s action. Why the would that egg give Yongsun a bracelet when she knew it was a contraband, and how the did she get a bracelet in here. Byulyi scoffed. Of course, of ing course, that was such a Hyeri thing to do. Through the years of knowing the younger woman, she learnt that if Hyeri were to hurt someone for crossing her, really hurt someone, she wouldn’t hurt the person directly and instead she believed in hurting the person who matters most to them. That way she can really break someone.
And in this case, Hyeri obviously knew that Yongsun was the most important person to her right now. Hell, Yongsun was the most important person in this prison right now. Knowing that she’d have leverage and could get anything she wants if she has Yongsun and has a few guards wrapped around her fingers.
Byulyi nodded, letting Yongsun know that she’d get her out of the Hole before she even stepped foot in it.
“Moon,” Byulyi turned her head to the source of voice. Officer Yuri was looking at her with concern in her eyes. “The Governor wants to see you.”
Byulyi looked around the corridor before following Officer Yuri to the office.
As soon as the door to Hyejin’s office closed, Byulyi was met with anything the Governor’s hands could reach.
“I TOLD YOU TO LOOK AFTER HER! YOU GAVE ME YOUR WORD, MOON BYULYI! ING FIX THIS.” Hyejin started pacing back and forth when she found fear in the whites of Byulyi’s eyes. And if Byulyi was afraid, then Hyejin should be too.
“I know, I know.” Byulyi let out
