Ch. 19
SaintsI stood outside the familiar door in the back alleyway, my arms frozen to my sides, I found it difficult to bring myself to knock on the large, dented metal door.
Without warning, the door swung open, startling me. "Who are you and why are you hanging outside my door?" The deep voiced man said. His eyes softening instantly when he looked me over. "Holy. . Nari?"
I gave him a half smile and raised my hand with a small wave. "Hello Namjoon, how are you doing?" I asked.
He reached out and pulled me inside the building. Letting the door close with a loud thud. "I'm doing good, business has been a little slow lately. But look at you! Back from the dead!" He exclaimed.
I forced a chuckle. "Yeah, and what a joy it's been." I replied, following him through the unchanged abandoned warehouse. "I'm surprised you're still in the game."
He lifted a shoulder and dropped it. "Eh. A normal job is boring, and the money is better this way." He answered, walking over to his couch. I sat in the seat that I usually had, my eyes wondering over everything in the large room. "So it's been what five years? I didn't recognize you at first. What's been going on?" He asked.
I bit down on the inside of my cheek, I didn't think it would be a good idea to tell him about Seunghyun. The less people that knew about him the better. "Yeah, well. I needed a change so I chopped my hair all off. As far as what happened, long story short. Jungkook lied to everyone, told them I died when Minhyun shot me, but he told me Taehyung was in prison for life, blah blah blah." I waved my hand in dismissal.
Namjoon lifted his brows, blinking his eyes. "Wow." He paused, trying to wrap his mind around what I said. "I tried to tell you Jungkook was shady." He finally said.
I cleared my throat to keep from laughing. "That is true." I replied.
He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "So. Nari. What brings you here after so long of being away? I know it can't be my dashing good looks." He joked.
I looked down at my hands, taking a deep breath. "I need equipment. Someone sent me pictures, and they also sent me this." I reached into my pocket and handed him the folded piece of paper. "They know where I work, where I love, everything."
"Hmm." He unfolded the paper and read the writing. "So, you're being threatened, do you know by who?" He asked.
I felt a shiver run down my spine, goosebumps all over my body. "I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I have a feeling it's Minhyun." I answered.
He pursed his lips. "I'll take care of you. I don't have much right now, but I will get a hold of some more stuff for you, for now though I'll give you what I can. I will be right back." He held up a finger before getting up and disappearing from my sight for a few minutes.
He walked back in carrying the normal black duffle bag, setting it on the ground next to my feet. "Here you go, there is a mixture of stuff for now. And I'll make sure to keep an ear out for any information about whatever is going on."
