Numb. That was the word Hana would choose to describe herself if anyone asked how she was. She sat there, staring at her best friend’s unmoving body attached to too many wires. Her thoughts kept rewinding. She kept thinking what could she have done to prevent this whole situation. What could she have done to save Yuna, to rid her of the pain she was in. But no matter how much her mind shuffled between situations and what ifs and nots it lead to nothing.

Hana literally could have done nothing to protect Yuna. She tried looking at the upside to this whole miserable circumstance. At least Yuna was brought back to her. At least Kai was not hurt. At least Yuna could wake up and come back to her. 

Her thoughts diverted to Kai. How she wished Kai was with her right now but he was not. As soon as he came back home he informed Hana about what had happen trying to choose his words carefully so that he would not set her off. To his surprise, she took the news quite well. She nodded, grabbed her jacket and demanded that her take he to the hospital she was kept in. Knowing it was useless to fight, he took her and that is when she broke. She sat there with his arms around her crying and praying for Yuna to wake up until she just felt nothing. No emotions whatsoever. 

She wondered if he was okay. After making sure that the hospital was somewhat safe to leave her in, and leaving some guards by the door, he left. He went to where ever his gang members were to sort everything out promising he would be back. 

Hana raised her tired eyes to look at the clock. Kai had told her he would tell Lucas to come directly to the hospital once his school was over. It was 15 minutes past 3 so she guessed he would be here anytime soon. She pushed herself off the chair she was sitting on and walked to the attached bathroom to wash her face. Drying her hands, she took her phone out of her pocket and dialed the receptionist at her job to call in sick as she had night duty today. 

"Hey Saerin" Her voice croaked out. 

"Oh Hana, you sound terrible. Are you ill?" Saerin asked. Hana heard yelling from the other side of the call.

"Yeah. I won't make it to work today. I called to remind anyone about Sara's new medication and new time for it."

"Okay- ouch! Mark!- No- Min- Oh my god okay wait!" Saerin growled. Hana frowned. Mark?

"Where are you lady?" Hana heard Mark's sassy voice. She let out a soft chuckle.

"I am not feeling that great so i decided to stay home." she replied. 

"Ew so germy. You should not take that many sick days. How are you going to get paid?" He nagged. Hana rolled her eyes but the corner of her lips stretched them to a wide smile.
