Chen Xi blinked and the scene changed. 

The sight before her came and went, like a very distant memory of her own that she'd forgotten. 

Can you feel deja vu even in a dream? 

The Minghao before her eyes was gentle, sweet and kind. He came and went like the waves but her little look-alike didn't once question where he lived. 

Chen Xi made herself comfortable in a corner of the beach and watched with a small smile. 

She wondered if this Minghao loved this little look-alike. 

Did I imagine all this? Do I like him so much I had to dream of him?

"I'll bring you to my home next time." He told her and she nodded happily. His voice was so innocent, so sincere. 

Chen Xi noticed though, the other boy was watching them from afar. The look in his eyes made her shudder. 

Sigh, too bad.. I would've chosen Minghao in a heartbeat too. Ah damn it Chen Xi, what are you thinking?!

As soon as her thought ended, the scene before her changed again. Her heart was heating fast and she found herself in the middle of the sea, the shore a huge distance away and she noticed the boy standing there, just staring at her with a huge conch in his hand, no intention to save her.

Panicking, she struggled to keep herself afloat but the waves were too strong, much to her horror, she noticed from her arms that she was wearing the little girl's clothes.
