A Place To Live
Behind The Limelight
“You're sure you have to find your own place? There's a vacant room in my unit, you know.” I said as we drove down the road.
He smiled awkwardly. “Yeah, I'm fine. I need to be alone to clear things out. Thanks by the way.”
I shrugged. “Okay. That would be fine.” I said instead.
I pulled the car to a stop when we reached our destination. It was a high-rise condominium unit located in downtown Seoul. We headed inside and inquired the receptionist if there were any vacant units. We went upstairs, and I let Hyuk Jae choose one.
When he was done, he showed me what he had chosen.
“Dong Hae! Come here. I love the view.” he said and rushed to where he stood. With the glass wall standing in front of us, we absorbed the beautiful view of th whole city.
“Do you like it, Mr. Lee?” the receptionist asked.
We turned to her. “Yeah, I like this one.” Hyuk Jae replied.
“Okay sir.” she said and shifted her attention to me.
“Sir, do you mind if I take a picture with you?” she asked with a mischievous grin. Hyuk Jae looked into my eyes and chuckled.
I smiled at her and held out my hand. She gave me her phone and as we smiled, I captured a photo of us.
“Thank you.” she said one last time and finally left.
“So famous, huh?” Hyuk Jae beamed.
“I sometimes hate it. People follow me wherever I go. That annoys me often.” I honestly answered.
“It's a part of showbiz life.” He smiled and put a hand on my shoulder.
“Thank you for helping me out today.”
I nodded. His hand on my shoulder made me feel extra special.
