CHAPTER 18

Months had passed since the talk.  The lightness of their surrounding was also noticeable ever since the talk, confirming that the talk they had was successful in a way, Irene doesn’t lock herself up anymore, Wendy was more than willing to spend time with them, playing with them. She’s turning back to the Wendy they used to know, the Wendy before she and Irene become a couple, the lively and open Wendy. As for Irene, she seems okay already too. She had become playful and the Irene they knew.

Things have been running smoothly between all of them, there were occasionally awkward moments especially when they reminisce and talk about the past but they were able to brush it off quickly and just laugh it off, the three respects whatever decision Wendy and Irene made.

Irene and Wendy’s relationship had made some progress too, they can talk to each other like a real adult even if it’s just the two of them unlike before that they cannot leave them alone together without feeling at ease.

Though there were moments a member would catch one of them staring when the other isn’t looking, there are also moments where the two of them would just suddenly stop in the middle of the conversation and they would just stare at each other for good seconds before awkwardly looking away. The three girls kept mum about it. It was something they would never understand since they are not on Irene or Wendy’s position so they never brought it up.

The three don’t know how the two are doing this after all that happens that between the two of them or what they really feel about this whole setup, it may not be the way they wanted things to be but they are happy to see them both trying on whatever decision they made. Maybe that’s what acceptance can do, maybe it’s all about acceptance after all.

Wendy just came back from buying bread and coffee for breakfast when she saw Irene standing by the door of her room and Seulgi.

“Hey…” She called “Do you need something?”

Irene turns to her “No, I just… today’s my flight to Paris, I just wanted to say goodbye before I leave.”

“Ahh, is that today?” Wendy asked as she walks closer

Irene nodded “I already said goodbye to Joy and Yeri earlier before they go to their schedules, I wanted to say goodbye to you and Seul.”

“I don’t think Seuls’ awake but I let her know once she wakes up.” Wendy said

“I should go then.” Irene said as she walks past Wendy

“Irene…” Wendy called as Irene stops and turns to her “You take care out there.”

Irene smiles “You too.”

“Don’t worry too much, I’m sure you’ll do well.” Wendy said smiling at her “You just have to be your amazing you.”

“Thank you.” Irene replied with a smile

“Ahh, right.” Wendy said as she walks towards the kitchen and took the bread she bought and gave it to Irene “I’m sure you haven’t had anything yet, so eat this on your way.”

“How about you?” Irene asked

“Don’t worry about me.” Wendy replied with a smile “I’ll be fine with whatever’s in the fridge.”

Irene chuckles “Just make sure you check the expiry date before you eat it. I don’t want to come back here finding you in the hospital because you ate an expired food.”

“I will.” Wendy answered with a smile “Wouldn’t want you to get worried.”

Then they both stared at each other.

Wendy coughed awkwardly as she looked away after realizing what was happening.

“I should probably go.” Irene said looking at the other side

“Yeah, you should.” Wendy replied

“So, see you in 5 days.”

Wendy looked at her then smile “Yeah, see you in 5 days.”

After a long hour flight, Irene dropped her dead tired body on the bed, closing her eyes, not moving for at least five goof minutes then she opened her eyes and took out her phone.

She sat on the bed and then went to their member’s gc and sent that she’s on the hotel already.

Joy: Unnie, that’s good to know, rest well, good luck tomorrow.

Yeri: Unnie, good luck for tomorrow, break a leg!

Seul: Unnie, fighting!

Irene bites her nails unconsciously looking at her phone waiting for that particular person to reply.

But five minutes had passed and there’s still no message coming from Wendy, not even a ‘seen’ to know that she had seen Irene’s message.

Irene made a deep sighed as she dropped her body again “Are you busy?” she asked looking at the ceiling, then at her phone again “Why aren’t you reading my message?”

After checking her phone again still no message from Wendy, Irene pushed herself up and went to the bathroom to clean herself before going to bed.

Once she gets back to bed, she checks her phone again, still no message or ‘seen’ from Wendy. She made a deep sighed again then threw her phone on the side as she stares at the ceiling and the after a minute she took her phone again and open her conversation with Wendy.

‘I just want to say that I’m at the hotel’ Irene sighed as she reread her message; “You already said it at the gc.” She said then, deletes it.

‘The bread you gave me is good, where did you buy it? I should buy it next time’ Irene sighed again “You’re the one who refer that store to her, you stupid.” She told herself, the deletes it again.

‘The hotel I’m staying is great’ she types then deletes it immediately “She doesn’t care about your hotel room Irene, for God’s sake.”

She then types ‘I miss you.’ Irene stared at the type words and mumbles to herself “I miss you Seungwan.”

Irene woke up from the sound of her alarm. She lazily reached for her phone and turns it off. She sits abruptly when she saw a notification message from Wendy. Wendy didn’t reply on their gc but a personal message.

“Hey, saw your message at the gc, sorry I wasn’t able to reply, I hit the gym so I slept early. Anyway, good luck on your event for today, don’t worry too much, I know you’ll do well. Come back quickly and safely.

P.S Make sure you also send the others a message that you miss them too, they are a jealous type. ^_^

Irene widen her eyes upon reading the last part, she was too focus on reading Wendy’s message that she didn’t notice her last message to her.

‘I miss you’

Irene threw her phone away like she was burned as soon as she reads it. “You stupid, stupid, stupid, why would you that?!”

After some time, she took her phone slowly as she rereads Wendy’s message again. Suddenly the frown on her face turns into a big soft smile as she rereads the message again.

She was about to reply to Wendy’s message but stop in the middle of it and then goes to their gc.

‘I miss you guys so much already, I’ll come back quickly and safely ^_^’

Knowing how big the event is, Irene was nervous as hell but support from everyone help her through it specially the members. Irene meets people she only saw on television or magazines but she can also hold her own, she’s Bae Joohyun after all.

The event was successful, she’s now at the after party. She doesn’t really want to attend since she didn’t really know anyone here, she can’t speak French and barely speak English but she didn’t want to be rude or anything so she attends.

Irene was more than thankful that there’s an open bar not because she likes to drink but at least she could sit in front and not one those table at the center seating with God knows who that she doesn’t understand what is saying.

She waited an hour before she texted her manager that she wants to leave and get the car ready.

She’s waiting for her manager’s text when she heard a familiar language.

“Mind if I seat here?”

There’s a Korean here? She thought as she turns to the woman, but before she could even reply, the woman already pulled the chair and seat beside her. “How’s the party going?”

“Yeah, it’s good.” Irene answered lightly nodding “Oh, I know you… you’re R—“

“Oh, right, I am sorry, didn’t mean to be rude.” She said wearing that oh-so-bright smile at Irene as she extends her hand “Roseanne Park.”

Irene shakes Rosé’s hand “I’m Ir—“

“Irene Bae.” Rose said with a smile “Finally, in flesh.”

Irene looked at her surprised, for a model like Roseanne Park’s tier to know someone like her from a foreign land, is making Irene feel delighted “You know me?”

Rosé smiled broadly “Oh, believe me, I do.”

“The photos taken of you don’t do you justice; you really look ethereal in person.” Rosé complimenting her

Irene looked at her shyly “Thank you.”

“No, I should be thanking you.” Rosé said with a sly smile

“Huh?” Irene looking at her confusedly

Rosé chuckles “I mean, I’m bored to death already, thank God you’re here. I barely know anyone here and to be honest I don’t feel comfortable to talk to them but with you, I kind of do.”

“Really?”

Rosé nodded “Yeah, I feel like I’ve known you for a long time now.”

Irene smiles

“I think we could be best friend.” Rosé said smile never leaving her lips, “Ah, right, I don’t think we can… I already have one that I love so much, but if you don’t mind being the second best friend, we can work things out.”

Irene chuckles “Well, I have few best friends of my own but if you don’t mind being on the last list of my best friend, we certainly can.”

“Oh, I don’t mind, not at all.” Rosé told her “I have a feeling we’re going to be best friend for life.”

“Joy would be so jealous if she found out that I was talking to you.” Irene said “She is a really big fan of yours, she has copy of your magazines in a big shelf inside her bedroom.”

“Really?” Rosé asked grinning from ear to ear

Irene nodded “It’s like a treasure.”

“I should meet her.” Rosé said chuckling

“She’d be ecstatic” Irene said chuckling just imagining Joy fangirling once she meet Rosé.

“So, are you going back to South Korea after this?” Rosé asked as the bartended handed her a glass of martini

“No, I’ll be here for another 3 days.”

Rosé grinned “That’s perfect.” As she took a sip from her glass.

“What?” Irene asked almost frowning but not because of Rosé’s words but the way she smiled just now. Something feels off about it.

“I mean it’s perfect that you’ll get to spend another day here, Paris is the city of love after all.” Rosé explained “I’d love to be your tour guide but I have flight to South Korea tomorrow morning.”

“Really?” Irene asked cheerily, frown disappearing on her face “How about I tour you then when I get back?”

Rosé smiles from ear to ear “Irene Bae as my tour guide, hell yes. Also…” she leaned down whispering “Is it okay if I bring my fiancé with me?”

Surprised was clearly evident on Irene’s face from what Rosé just told her.

Rosé laughed as she pulled back “I always get that same reaction whenever I mention it. Was it really that surprising?”

“Y-yeah.” She answered “I mean…”

“Too early to plan to get married?” Rosé asked as Irene nodded “I know but nothing’s too early or too late if you know in your heart that she’s the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with, right?”

Irene couldn’t help but smile as the thought of a certain person suddenly comes in her mind hearing Rosé’s word “You’re right.”

“So, how about, I bring fiancé and you bring him when we meet there?”

Irene looked at her confusedly. “Him?”

“Yeah, I mean, I will definitely call you a big fat liar if you tell me right now that no one’s running around giving flowers to make your heart flutter and all.”  Rosé said “And your smile just now gave it all away.”

Irene looked away, blushing at the thought of the person making her heart more than flutter “There is someone but it’s not h—“

“That’s a deal then!” Rosé said “Let’s go on a double date, so I could meet and judge him. People around me said I’m an excellent judge of character and I won’t disagree with them, not when I’m about to marry the most amazing person out there.”

Irene smiles at her softly.

“Why?” Rosé asked “Too cheesy?”

“No.” Irene shakes her head lightly “Just I haven’t met your fiancé but I could see and feel already how amazing she is just by hearing you talk about her with so much fondness and adoration.”

Rosé smiles softly “Because she is Irene.” Then her smile fades as she looks Irene in the eye “And it’s a big fat stupidity to let her slip away when you’re already holding her hand or worse break her heart so much to the point that even her eyes lose its life.”

Irene felt her heart beats rapidly after Rosé said those words. Suddenly, she felt hard to breathe as if the air around them disappears. She swallowed nervously with her heart still beating rapidly like a suspect in court with Rosé’s as a judge gazing at her with so much intensity that’s boring into her   as if she knew Irene was guilty and in fact committed the crime.

“I…ah, well…” Irene can’t find the words

“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make things awkward” Rosé chuckles “Sometimes, I just can’t really help getting on my serious-Rosie-mood and make things awkward with people around me when I’m talking about her. Don’t mind me. Hope, I didn’t scare you.”

“N-no, of course not.” Irene answered stuttering, then gets her composure back and smile “It just means you love her so much.”

Rosé smile, this time it was softer and sincere “I do. She means the world to me.”

Irene was about to say something, when her phone rang, she looked at Rosé to which the latter nodded for her to answer the call.

“Oppa, oh, you’re already there.” Irene said on the line “Okay.” Then ended the call

“Your ride’s here.” Rosé said

“Yeah, if only I know that you’d talk to me.”

“No, it’s okay. I’m sure you’re already tired too.” Rosé told her with a smile “Don’t worry, I’m sure we are going to spend so much time together when we meet at Korea. I’m very sure of that”

“I am looking forward.” Irene replied with a smile

“Oh, please do.” Rosé said with a playful smile

“And I’m also looking forward to meet him.” Rosé added

“About that, I do—“

“Don’t worry.” Rosé said “I’m going to judge him rationally and fairly. What are new established friendship are for, right?”

Irene sighed in defeat “Okay. Then I’ll be looking forward to judge your fiancé too.” Now smiling

“Of course, please judge her to your heart’s content!” Rosé said chuckling “But I’m sure you’re going to love her, like totally love her.”

Irene chuckles “I’m sure I would.”

“I’d bet my life on it.” Rosé stated

Irene laughs “Well, what can I say. You already convince me to love her even if we haven’t met yet.”

“She’s just lovable in all aspects.” Rosé said proudly “Also, I forgot to mention earlier, my fiancé is also my best friend.”

“Wow, that’s amazing.” Irene said in awe

“Isn’t it, right? I mean what are the chances but hey, I must have saved the world in my previous life.” Rosé said laughing

 Irene chuckles “Maybe you did.”

“Since I have made my point that I did save the world on my previous life.” Rosé laughs “I won’t hold you any longer then”

 “It was really nice meeting you Rosé.” Irene said with a smile

“It was really nice meeting you too Irene.”

“Can’t wait to see you again back home.” Irene said

“Same here.” Rosé said with a smile as Irene starts walking towards the door.

Irene gave one last look to Rosé before she could fully go out of the door, she then gave Rosé a smile as she waved her hand as a goodbye.

Rosé raised the glass she’s holding as a goodbye too and then smile playfully “I can’t wait Irene, can’t wait.”

Irene: It’s really beautiful here, all of us should visit here next time.

Joy: Unnie, you should make an instagram account instead of just keeping everything in your phone.

Joy: It’s a really good picture unnie, I’m sure luvies will be happy to see you having fun too.

Irene: I’ll think about it. Anyway, Joy isn’t it late there already?

Joy: Yeah, but I just finished the schedule and on the way home.

Joy: Seems like everybody’s sleeping already.

Irene: Ah, right before I forgot. I have a big surprise for you Joy when I get back ^_^

Joy: As much as I would like to look forward, I already have trust issues when it comes to your surprise unnie

Irene: YOU’RE GONNA LOVE IT! I SWEAR YOU WILL!

Joy: My expectations is getting high, if you disappoint me unnie, you’re dead

Irene: Whahahhaha. You might actually kiss me from happiness once you see it.

The next day…

Joy was walking on the silent hallway towards their dorm when she saw a suspicious woman wearing a cap and a mask standing in front of their room.

“Hey!” Joy yelled as she rushed towards the woman

The woman seems taken aback and stepped back from the door.

“Who are you? What are you doing here?” Joy asked with alarming tone “I’ll call security if you don’t get out of here now” She said threatening taking her phone out, sasaeng fans are very dangerous and thank God she got here on time, Yeri was the only person in the dorm and God knows what could have happen if Yeri opens that door.

“W-wait, wait, wait.” The woman said raising her hands up to her chest “I’m not a dangerous person, I’m here for Fi— Wan.”

“Seungwan unnie?” Joy asked, still suspicious but for some reason Joy felt a little ease when the woman talks, her voice sounded familiar like she had heard it for many times already.

The woman nodded “Yeah, she’s the one who told me your address.”

Joy eyed the woman from head to toe “She did?”

“Yeah, she even told me you’re a big fan.” She said as she took her mask off “Hi Joy.” She said with a smile

Joy held her breath at the sight of the now free mask woman in front of her “R-rosé P-park?”

Rosé beamed a smile “Yes, I am.”

“Oh my God!” Joy gasp as she put her hand to from shock “OH. MY. GOD.”

Rosé chuckles at Joys’ reaction “I heard you’re a big fan but I didn’t expect it to be this big.”

“I’m your biggest fan!” Joy quickly said “I am I swear, I have all of your magazine’s inside my room, I’m using everything your endorsing!”

Rosé chuckles again “Thank you for supporting me.”

“I can’t believe this is happening.” Joy said, slapping herself lightly “Is this for real or I’m just dreaming.”

Rosé breaks into laughter.

“Oh my God.” Joy said looking at Rosé with so much devotion as if she’s worshiping her “God really is a woman.”

Then they heard the door open.

“Joy unnie, you okay I thought I heard you scream.” Yeri said who peeked at the door “Is every—“she stops when she get a sight of Rosé, she hurriedly run out of the door and went in front of Rosé, jumping like a little kid who just won a candy.

“A-are you…” Yeri starts with hopeful eyes.

Rosé couldn’t help but smile at the cuteness “I am Rosé Pa—“

“Oh my God!” Yeri screamed as she jumped and hugged Rosé “I really love you unnie!

Joy widens her eyes at Yeri’s sudden action, she immediately pulled Yeri from Rosé “Get off of her you creep.”

Rosé chuckles “No, it’s okay.”

“Really?” Joy asked in disbelief

“Ye—“

Rosé couldn’t finish what she’s going to say when Joy suddenly hugs her “I can’t believe you’re really real.”

“Get off of her you creep.” Yeri repeating Joy’s word

Joy pulled back from the hug then stare at Rosé “Can I please hug you again, just to make sure you’re hundred percent real?”

Rosé laughs again “Yeah, sure.”

Without a second thought Joy hugged her “God is really real.”

“Fiancé?”

As soon as Rosé heard the familiar voice she looked behind and her smile quickly widens as soon as she saw Wendy “Fiancé!” Rosé screamed excitedly as she run towards Wendy.

Wendy almost lost her balance when she catches Rosé who jumps into her excitedly like a kid “I miss you! I miss you! I miss you!” she said while kissing Wendy’s face, forehead, nose, cheeks just like last time “I miss you so muchhhh!” she said as she give one long kiss on Wendy’s cheek and then get down on her feet

Wendy chuckles as she excitedly cupped Rosé face “Oh my God! I can’t believe you’re here!” she said as she kisses Rosé’s forehead and then hug her “God, I miss you.”

Only when she pulled back from the hugged, Wendy notices the three person with them, all of them with their jaw hanging, speechless and wearing that confused, what-the-hell-is-happening expression.

“Right, I’m just so excited.” Wendy said chuckling “Seul, this is Rosé, Rosé this Seulgi.”

Rosé smiled as she extended her hand to Seulgi “Nice to meet you Seulgi.”

Seulgi who’s with Wendy shakes Rosé’s hand awkwardly “Nice to meet you too.”

“I’ve heard so much about you.” Rosé told her

“You do?” But before Rosé could answer, Wendy holds her hand and pulled her towards Joy and Yeri who’s still frozen on their spot.

“Yeri this is Rosé, Rosé this is Yeri.” Wendy introduced to the two

“Hi Yeri.” Rosé greeted extending her hand with a smile

Yeri shakes her hand “Unnie, you’re so pretty.”

“Thank you.” Rosé said smiling “You are too and much cuter than what fiancé describes you.”

Yeri, Joy and Seulgi glances at each other with a question look when they heard the word fiancé again.

Asking each other without mouthing a word but clearly no idea from what’s happening.

“I said she was the cutest” Wendy defending herself

“No, you didn’t.” Rosé said “You said and I quote “Yeri’s cute but I’m so much cuter than her” that’s exactly what you said.”

“I said that?” Wendy asked in embarrassment

Rosé chuckles as she tap Wendy’s nose with her finger lightly “You did.”

Yeri would usually retort back and will never let Wendy live again after making that statement but this scene happening in front of them is just overwhelming in all aspects, not even Joy who always have a lot to say have gone speechless for what she’s seeing.

“Oh and before I forgot, Rosé this is Joy, your biggest fan.” Wendy said excitedly

“Yeah, we’ve actually met just before you arrive.” Rosé said

“I imagine her being crazy and all when she met you though.”

“She did.” Yeri stated “You should’ve seen her. It was a sight of total break down.”

“As if you’re better than me.” Joy said looking at her “I thought you were having a seizure earlier.”

“No, I don’t.” Yeri said

“You are.” Rosé teased

After teasing each other on their reaction, Wendy asked “How long have you been waiting here. You should’ve called me.”

“That’s not how surprises work.” Rosé said “And I didn’t really wait that long but I’m hungry.”

Wendy chuckles “You always are.”

“I want to eat pancake.”

“Okay, let me just put my things inside and we can go look for pancake somewhere.” Wendy said

“Or you can just make me one.” Rosé said “It’s already late, I don’t think there’s a store selling pancake at this hour.”

“You sure? I’m sure we could still find a store somewhere who serves much better than I can make.” Wendy said

Rosé smiled at her “Your pancake is my favorite.”

Wendy and Rosé banters continuously, completely oblivious from the mental breakdown they’re giving at the people around them.

“Since when do you watch TV?” Joy asked as she sits besides Seulgi on the living room

“I was bored, so I thought of watching.” Seulgi answered looking at the screen in front

“Really?” Joy asked brows cocking “And how bored are you to actually watch TV on mute? Are you learning a new skill? Deciphering what they’re saying.”

Seulgi glared at her “How about you? What are you doing here?”

“I was bored too.” Joy answered non-chalantly as she raised the volume of the TV

“Oh, really?” Seulgi now raising her brows “Did you forget you have an 80inch TV inside your bedroom?”

Joy was about to say something but Yeri joined them. “You both at lying do you know that?”

“Language, Yeri.” Seulgi said

“Sorry.” Yeri said “What I meant was what’s with the obviously failed excuses when we all know why we are here.” Then, she whispered “It’s obviously the F-I-A-N-C-É thing.”

“I was so surprised I cannot say anything.” Seulgi said almost whispering

“I know.  Your drool hasn’t dried on the floor yet.” Joy teased

“And I think your jaw is still on the floor outside, should I go and take them back?” Seulgi bite back

“Yah! you two!” Yeri said

The two looked at them “Yah?”

“How old do you think you are?” It was Seulgi

“Can we please just focus on the F-I-A-N-C-É on hand and not whatever it is between you two are having?”

“There’s nothing between us okay.” Seulgi said firmly

“You saying that firmly make it more suspicious, do you know that?” Yeri asked

“Definitely nothing.” Seulgi said making an X gesture using her hands

“Wow.” Joy scoffed “There’s really nothing going on but you denying it like I have some disease is offending me.”

“And I just told you…” Yeri sighed “Let’s deal with the F-I-A-N-C-É at the moment and let’s deal with that probably-ual-tension you two are having.”

“Ew!”

“Gross!”

 “Then stop acting like you’re going to jump in each other’s throat any moment now.” Yeri said “My mind hasn’t recovered from what I witness earlier so please, let’s focus.”

“So what do you think about that ‘fiancé’ thing? Do you think it’s like the fiancé, fiancé?” Yeri asked whispering

“I’m not sure.” Seulgi answered “But don’t you think if that was the case Wendy would tell us?”

Joy scoff “She didn’t tell us that she’s close or more than close to Rosé, do you really think she would tell us if she’s engaged to her?”

Seulgi and Yeri gave her a look.

“What?” Joy retorts “It hasn’t been an hour since I found out that Wendy unnie is this close to Rosé without telling me” Crossing her finger “I’m still bitter about it okay and I will be for a few hours.”

Seulgi sighed “You’re hopeless.”

“What?” Joy asked irritably

“Stop it both of you, okay.” Yeri said massaging her temple “You know what I think, I believe it’s true.”

“That they’re engage?” Seulgi asked in disbelief

Yeri nodded “I mean, what could possibly be the reason why Wendy unnie was so cool about Suho oppa courting Irene unnie? Maybe this is the reason.”

“And have you seen the way she says, ‘Your pancake is my favorite’?” Joy asked “I’d bet she’s talking a different kind of cupcake.”

“Or maybe it’s just a pancake Joy.” Seulgi said “Wendy makes a good pancake, why do you have to be so dirty about it.”

“I’m not being dirty about it, okay.” Joy said “You are just so innocent, it’s frustrating to be honest. No wonder you’re still…”

“What?” Seulgi dared

“Never mind.” Joy said “What I’m trying to say is, I don’t think they’re just friends. They are way past being friends.”

After minutes or probably an hour of whispering to each other, the three stops when Wendy came out from the kitchen.

“Guys, we made enough pancakes for everyone if you like you can—“Wendy hasn’t even finished what she’s going to say when the three stood up from their seat and run to the kitchen.

Wendy chuckles at the three “Were you that hungry?” following the three who now take a seat on the table.

Wendy seat beside Rosé while the three seats in front of them.

“Your pancake is really the best!” Rosé said savoring the food on “It’s really is the best.”

Seulgi then looked at Joy as if telling her ‘See, it’s just a pancake for God’s sake.’

Joy rolled her eyes as she took a bite on the pancake.

“I’m jealous of you all, you get to eat this whenever you want while I have to wait patiently and fly all the way here just to eat this.” Rosé said

“I’ll make you as much as you want while you’re here.” Wendy said smiling

“Then make it for me every day.” Rosé said smiling in return

“Roger that.” Wendy salute making Rosé chuckles

“Dork.” Rosé said as she pinched Wendy’s nose

The three in front of them couldn’t help but to exchange glances to each other.

Joy cleared “So, how long are you going to be at the country? Are you here for a vacation?”

“No, I have a photo shoot coming that you might add to your collection.” Rosé chuckles “And shoot for some ads but it won’t take a month.”

“I’d definitely buy hundreds of it!” Joy said excitedly

“Thank you.” Rosé said smiling at her “I haven’t been in Korea for years so I might stay here for a while for a vacation and spend time with fiancé before I go back and get myself busy in Paris again.”

“Wendy unnie can be busy so if you’re looking for someone to tour you, I’d make myself free.” Joy said

“Thank you for the offer, but someone already offered.” Rosé said smiling playfully “But in case she cannot handle it, I’ll let you know, but I’m hoping that she really does because we will have so much fun.”

“We should take a picture later, mom will surely be happy to know that you’re here.” Wendy said as she eats

Rosé reached her hand to Wendy’s face and wipe the smudge of pancake on Wendy’s mouth using her finger.

The three looked at them in awe, as Wendy stood still letting Rosé to wipe like it’s a natural thing between them, they really looked like a couple. “Mother-in-law knew, she’s ecstatic when she heard about it.”

“Mother-in-law?” Seulgi asked “You mean Seungwan’s mom?”

Rosé nodded “I’ve been calling her that ever since fiancé and I got engaged.”

Joy dropped her fork, Seulgi hanged open and Yeri choked on what she’s eating. They talk about it earlier, but hearing it from them still shocked them.

“You okay?” Wendy asked worriedly as she handed her a glass of water

“I’m fine, I’m fine…” Yeri said “So you mean, you’re like, engage, engaged?”

“Fiancé?” Joy added “Like a fiancé, fiancé?”

“Well, fiancé made the proposal back in Canada and I accepted it so, yeah.” Rosé chuckles “We are engaged.”

“You proposed to her?!” Yeri almost screamed

“Well, I did—“

“And you didn’t tell us?!” It was Seulgi

“It’s no—“

“I feel so betrayed right now!” Joy said dramatically “I thought you were my friend!”

“Joy, you’re over reac—“

“Do you love her?” Joy asked

“What?” Wendy asked completely confused

“Do you love Rosé?”

“Of course, I love her she’s my—“

“If you hurt her, you’re dead.” Joy stated

Wendy looked at Joy in shocked, then Seulgi and then to Yeri.

“Congratulations, Wannie.” Seulgi said smiling at her

“I’m happy for you, Wendy unnie.” Yeri said with a smile “You looked good together.”

“I don—“ Wendy stops when Rosé intertwined their hands on top of the table

“Thank you.” Rosé said smiling at the three “It really means a lot hearing that from you guys.”

Wendy looked at Rosé with a question looked, Rosé just smiled at her “I love you.”

After hours of questions, banters, confusion, they decided to call it a night.

“I can go back in my hotel alone, you don’t have to drive me there.” Rosé tells Wendy

“I know you’re a grown up, but it’s already late. I can’t just let you walk out of here alone.” Wendy told her

“But you’re tired, I don’t think you can still drive. You’ve closed your eyes for a moment earlier.” Rosé said “I’ll just call you when I get there.”

“Still…”

“Fiancé…” Rosé smiled at her “I got here just fine. I’m going to be fine.”

“Why don’t you stay for the night?” Seulgi said from behind “Wendy’s right, it’s already late, I’d really get mad at her if she lets you go back to your hotel alone at this hour but Rosé’s right too Wan, you’re tired, it’s not a good idea for you to drive, I’d go and drive for you but I can feel my eyes closing already.” Seulgi said “So, why don’t you stay for the night, you can use the room, I’ll sleep with Joy and Yeri tonight.”

“No, it’s fine Seul.” Wendy said “Fiancé and I can share the bed, you can use your bed.”

 “No, its fine, I’m sure you have a lot of things to catch up and I don’t want to bother you.”

“You don’t have to sleep in other room though, I promise, we will be quiet.” Rosé said

For some reason, Seulgi felt herself blush “No, its fine. You can be loud comfortably.”

“What?” Rosé and Wendy looked at her in confusion

“N-no, I mean… You can, you know… I mean, you might feel uncomfortable if I’m here while you, you know… so, I’ll just stay in the maknae’s room.”

Wendy looks at her weirdly

 “Be loud comfortably.” Then rushed to the maknae’s room.

Rosé then looked at Wendy, “I think she thinks we are going to have…”

“They’re definitely going to have !” Seulgi said as she opened the room of Joy and Yeri

“And you threw your chance of having the front seat while they go at it?” Yeri asked

Seulgi looked at Yeri in disbelief and then to Joy.

“Don’t look at me, it wasn’t me who screamed the ‘s’ word.” Joy said

“I’m not a kid Seulgi unnie, I know those things, okay.” Yeri said “So, are they really going to have ?”

Seulgi looked at her in horror “Just because you already know those things, doesn’t mean I’m going to talk about those things with you.”

“You’re a party pooper.” Yeri said

“You’re a party pooper (2)” Joy added

“Joy!” Seulgi looked at her in disbelief

“You’re a party pooper (3)” Joy said again

Seulgi sighed in defeat.

“Seulgi unnie, Seulgi unnie.”

Seulgi woke up from slumber and see Joy on her side.

“Joy?” She asked squinting

“Thank God, I’ve been trying to wake you up for an hour now.” Joy said

“What do you mean?” Seulgi asked half-asleep

“So, I’ve been thinking, where do you think I should go? Should I go to Paris? Or maybe Canada too? How about Switzerland?”

“What?” Seulgi asked completely clueless to what Joy is talking about

Joy sighed “Wendy unnie and Rosé got engaged in other country; maybe I should go on vacation and meet someone and got myself a boyfriend.”

Seulgi sighed “Did you really wake me up for that?”

“I’m serious.”

“It’s freakin 4AM in the morning Joy, can’t it wait? Maybe tomorrow?” Seulgi said “I can’t believe you.”

“Seulgi unnie, I’m talking about my future of course it cannot wait.” Joy said

Seulgi sighed as she stepped out of bed.

“Hey, where are you going?” Joy asked

“I’ll get some water, I’d get you some too, looks like you need it.” Seulgi answered as she stepped out of the room.

Seulgi was drinking water when she heard a familiar voice.

“Hi Seul.”

“Good morning Irene unnie.” Seulgi greeted as she drinks her water, and then choked on the water “I-Irene unnie?”

Irene rushed to her “You okay?”

“Y-yeah.” Seulgi answered as she wipes the water in “What are you doing here?”

Irene looked at her weirdly “What?”

“I-I mean, you’re early, you’re supposed to be here tomorrow right?”

“We finished with the schedule early so we were able to go home early.” Irene smiles “I miss you guys. I brought you something. Are they still sleeping?”

Seulgi almost panicked when Irene’s gaze landed on her and Wendy’s room, that are now occupied by Wendy and Rosé doing God knows what.

“Y-yeah, everyone’s sleeping.” Seulgi said “Why don’t you take a rest too and then let’s see what you got for us tomorrow.”

Irene nodded as they walked out of the kitchen and went to their respective room.

“Seul…” Irene called

“Y-yeah?” Seulgi asked nervously

“That’s Yeri and Joy’s room.” Irene told her

Seulgi pulled her hand from the door, and then laugh awkwardly “I’m still sleepy…” she then walked in front of her room and turn the door knob but not pushing it. “You should rest now unnie.”

Irene nodded “See you tomorrow” and then went inside her room.

Seulgi run towards Joy and Yeri’s room as soon as Irene closed the door.

“Did you see a ghost? You look pale?” Joy asked “And where’s my water?”

“Irene unnie’s here.”

“What?”

“She’s here now. She’s home.”

“!” Joy can only say.
