The statement that came out from Shixun’s mouth boils her blood, and she is about to snap out of annoyance but a sweet voice gently calls her name has stopped her. Ga Eul shifts her gaze to the voice, meeting a calming pair of orbs. It melts her anger right away as she sees Jongdae’s concerned look. From that expression of his itself, she knows more than anything that he is totally upset by Shixun’s shameless act of come crawling back to her, but the fact that Jongdae is holding in his own emotion as he cares more of hers, she aches.

He is really kind that she feels sorry that he had to bear up this mess in her life.

And so it brings the lady’s head shaking weakly, a weary smile slowly curls across her pink lips. “It’s okay,” she whispers. “I can handle him.”

Jongdae teases with a judging look, “I was going to say that you should stomp on his feet or something. But well, if you say so…” Quiet chuckles escapes from his set of lips as the other scoffs in amusement. “Alright,” he is in hesitation, to be honest. But causing another scene would make his lady feels guilty, which is why Jongdae holds it in. “I’ll wait for you upstairs then.”

She nods, those simple words insanely gives her strength and boldness to step forward towards Shixun at the same time the corner of her eyes watches Jongdae leaving.

“You were supposed to be sleeping…!”

Baekhyun grins at his friend whose eyes widened and one finger pointing at him right after the latter closes the door behind him. He puts down the bag of chips on the coffee table, one hand pulls his legs so that he is sitting comfortably with his legs crossed on the couch.

“It’s not good to sleep after a lunch!”

“Says the person who’s munching the chips right at this moment.”

For a moment, his jaws stop moving as his gaze fall to the snack on the table before pouting, “Oops.” Baekhyun blinks a few times, annoying on purpose then leans forward to his friend, “By the way you have to tell me how did that happened.”

Jongdae makes a disgusted face upon seeing the other’s sparkly eyes as the guy asked for details on his forwarded progress with Ga Eul. But he is too lazy to entertain his friend any longer, his mind is concerning on something else that is happening right down the stairs of their houses.

Though he knows that the lady would not ever coming back to her ex-boyfriend, two sentences that Shixun uttered when they were about to walk away and ignore him just now has bothered Jongdae irritatingly.

“I’ve separated with her, the kid wasn’t even my child. She lied to me.”

“Baekhyun.”

“I’m not talking to you unless you tell me how did you two ended up kissing,” the older answers, dismayed. He huffs and mumbles, “Gosh, I knew it I should’ve knocked before coming in.”

Jongdae shrugs before walking to the other side of his house, slowly open the sliding door that directs him to his veranda. For a second he pivots his head to the back, whispering, “You can choose between sulking or joining me eavesdropping.”

“What?” Spontaneously, Baekhyun’s voice comes out in a very low volume too as if the person outside would hear them.

His mouth forms an ‘O’ as he watches the younger tipping on his toes to the outside, confused on what happened but surely he can’t sit still seeing Jongdae pulling out an act he has never seen before.

“Jongdae…!” he yells a whisper, at the same time getting up from the couch and draws closer to the sliding door – just to see his friend is crouching behind the wall. “What the hell are you doing?”

The latter ignores, continuing to take a peek on the two person far downstairs having a quiet conversation by the parked car.

Baekhyun ends up stepping outside as well, slowly approaching towards his friend so that he wouldn’t get caught by whomever Jongdae is hiding from. “Oh,” he lets out a light gasp, almost laughing but also is amused on how the latter is acting right at the moment.

He never knows Jongdae has this side in him. And so the former ends up joining the spying session as he squats down by his friend, “Whoa I don’t know who that guy is but dude, your woman is going to get snatch." Baekhyun raises up his palm, pointing to the person down there, "I mean, we’re at least 18 metres away from them but look at him, he’s hot…!”

Like a reflex, Jongdae turns to his side, darting a glare right towards the other, one arm clenches a fist, “Do you have a death wish?” His tongue clicks at the sight of the older flinches before peeping the other side of the wall again, “That’s her ex.”

“Ga Eul’s ex-boyfriend…! The one who did this and this to my face.” He points to the almost-gone bruises on his cheek and the cut at the corner of his lips, leaving Baekhyun gaping in shock.
