"I-It wasn't a big deal, Sang Min." You say, shrugging the question off.

Bewilderment flashes across Sang Min's face, and you could tell he's hurt by your reply.

"I trust you, ________." He says, staring at your face before turning his head and looking out the window.

You say nothing and simply stare at your desk. The atmosphere feels tense, and you suddenly feel that you don't want to be in school today.

Your happiness at finally being a senior in high school has dimmed.

The teacher, named Mr. Hyun, comes in and immediately starts introductions. "I'm Mr. Hyun, I would like you all to know, first of all, that I don't assign homework."

The class is all hyped up and talkactive, but you aren't feeling in the mood, and Sang Ming is refusing to make contact with anybody.

< I want to leave. > "________!" Mr. Hyun randomly calls out your name after looking at a piece of paper.

"Yeah?" You respond dully, not really wanting to talk. You suddenly have all the attention from your classmates. < Did I say something wrong? >

"Judging from your tone and attitude, you must not be feeling well. Is something wrong?" He asks, and you can hear a hint of anger embedded in his voice.

"Yes, there is something wrong." You snap back with some attitude, since his judgment is starting to irritate you.

You feel Sang Min staring at you, but you ignore it and set your eyes on Mr. Hyun.

"Watch your voice." Mr. Hyun says while gritting his teeth. "And please, tell us all what is wrong."

"It's nothing." You say, putting your head down. "I apologize for my rude behavior."

You hear Mr. Hyun awkwardly clear his throat and continue talking.

"Throughout the school year we will be learning..." You groan and start sleeping.

♛ 40 minutes later. ♛

Before Mr. Hyun left the classroom to go to his next class, he called you over. "________, may I have a word with you."

You lazily got up and headed towards the front of the classroom.

"Please do not show a public display of rebellion again in this classroom." He says it sternly, wagging his index finger in your face. "It is not appropriate for a classroom environment and may negatively affect your peers."

You mentally roll your eyes at his ridiculous statement, but regrain from saying anything. He continues to lecture you, but you start spacing out, his words beginning to sound like gibberish.

"Do you understand, ________?" Mr. Hyun stares at you.

You feel embarrassed and slightly bow. "Yes, Mr. Hyun." Mr. Hyun smiles.

"Good. I should be going now, or I'll be late to my next class. He laughs at his own joke and leaves the room after bidding you goodbye.

You have a confused face while going back to your desk. You secretly glance at the side to see Sang Min still not communicating with anybody.

You sigh at his immature behavior, but say nothing. A female teacher comes in the classroom shortly after.

"Class!" She shouts immediately after standing in front of the room. "I am Mrs. Park, and I am a strict teacher with zero tolerance for disrespect."

< Please let lunch come faster... >  you plead in your head while Mrs. Park continues talking.

What do you do?

a. Try to pay attention until lunch comes.

That's the only option for this chapter.
