Sehun: Epilogue
Deliquent
Sehun
Sehun stares at himself in the mirror, mumbling as he fixes his tie.”God, I feel like a baby going to prom,” He mutters. Kai puts his hands on his hips, watching his boyfriend through the reflection.
“I think you look adorable,” The punk grins.
“No, I don’t,” Sehun groans as he fixes his short, black hair. “You, on the other hand, look ing amazing- how do you even do that? You always look good!” He whines.” When we wake up every morning, after you work-out, even after a damn five-hour study session. Jongin, it is not fair how hot you are all the time.”
Kai smirks at him. “You done?” When Sehun nods shyly, the punk wraps his arms around his boyfriend and pulls him close. “You’re cute, adorable, so much hotter than Kris.”
“Oh my god.”
“Tao was a for leaving you, for a MUCH uglier dude.”
“Kris is not ugly,” Sehun grumbles.
Kai scoffs as he lets go of his boyfriend to grabs his jacket, pulling it on. “He’s a horribly disfigured, disgusting, foul-”
“Stooop,” Sehun slaps his boyfriend’s arm, sitting back down as he pulls his shoes on; watching as Kai does the same. Their time at college together, for the last past year, has been a lot easier than Sehun had originally thought. It turns out, Kai is actually pretty great when he’s not being a delinquent. Attending classes, putting actual effort into things other than stealing and drinking. Kai makes a great student, an amazing son, and an even better boyfriend.
Sehun’s gotten much better about certain things. His relationship with his mother has, of course, improved. She’s still strange about her son being gay but she seems to be trying to make an effort.; Sehun’s not really holding his breath in that aspect. But anything’s possible, he supposes. And he’s been trying to learn to forgive as well. Kai, for some reason, seems to be having an easier time of it. Because he at least greets Krystal when she says hello. But Sehun still wants to punch Tao in the face. Because every time he sees his dumb face, Sehun is reminded of everything. He’s gotten better at not cutting as well. He needs his rubber bands sometimes but it’s so much easier than before. The last time he had cut was a few nights after they moved into the dorm. When he visited his mother. It had been too stressful and he remembers crying into Kai’s arms; guilt absolutely eating at him. But his boyfriend held him tightly, told him it’s alright and thanked him for telling the truth. But, like Suho always says, baby steps. No one is expecting him to get better right away. Just as long as he’s progressing.
“Alight,” Sehun,” Kai smiles as he takes Sehun’s hands and helps him up. He leads him to the door. “Are you ready?”
Is Sehun ready to see the man he once thought would be the love of his life marry another man? No, he isn't it. But he has to be. He came to this wedding and even dragged Kai along. He has to learn to forgive and move on. Sehun takes a deep breath and smiles, nodding. “Okay...I'm ready.”
