Chap 2
Certificate of a DaughterCHAPTER II
Forgiving is never meant for giving chances, but for giving lessons.
“Are you being serious right now?” Jungkook throws the documents in his hands onto the table in front of him.
“Do I look like I’m joking right now to you?” his dad questioned him back.
“I’m the deputy director of this freaking company? Why should I work on this project? You could’ve just simply give this to someone else,” Jungkook exhales heavily. “Taehyung,” he exclaimed. “Taehyung can do this right? He’s always diligent on his work.”
“Oh yeah! I almost forgot you’re the deputy director of the company. Maybe because I haven’t seen such a useless deputy director before,” Mr. Jeon dissed Jungkook.
“Come on, dad,” Jungkook rolled his eyes.
“Okay! I’ll change the person in charge of this project to Taehyung,” says Mr. Jeon.
Jungkook eyes widened happily.
“Should I change my son too? Having Taehyung as my son sounds so much more compromising than you,” says Mr. Jeon as he walks past Jungkook and leave the room.
Jungkook grasped his fist angrily and punch the table.
“Hey!”
Jungkook startled. He looks back at the door.
“Because you are ONLY the deputy director that you have to work. Don’t get so hyped up over the title ‘director’, my son. Learn more,” Mr. Jeon smirked.

“So, what do you say?”
Rosé frowned.
“This is your chance to unleash your skills and knowledge. And just so you know, this might also be the stepping stone for you to get promoted.”
Rosé looked upon her superior. Those eyes that her superior wears are so convincing. She took a deep breath.
“But you know right? It’s only been 2 years since I started here. What would the others say if you offered this to me?” she questioned.
Rosé superior let out a heavy breath.
“Rosé-shi, if there is someone who capable of doing this better than you are, do you think I would even consider you in my list? Besides, most of the seniors are occupied with other projects now. Even if I offered this to them, they would probably be rejecting this offer,” the superior explained.
Rosé bites her lips softly.
“I can give you time to think over this carefully. But this kind of chances doesn’t come frequently, honey,” Rosé’s superior tries to persuade her.
“…”
“I’d love to take on this project…” says Rosé after a long silence.
“But?”
“But that means I have to sacrifice so many things right? Especially my family…” Rosé’s voice toned down. She couldn’t lift her head facing her superior.
The superior click both her hands on the table.
“Rosé-shi, look at me,” she ordered Rosé.
Rosé lift her head and look up to her superior.
“You’ve always been good with management. You’re even greater with creative planning. Choosing you to lead this project is never a mistake from my side. I believe that you can handle this well,” she says.
Rosé blink her eyes several times.
“I know you’re actually feeling nervous because this is your first time, right? Don’t worry. I will guide you. If you need any help, just come to me. Never think that you’re in this alone. No! We’re all in this together. Just like how you complement other people’s project, that’s how we return it back to you. Okay?” her superior smiled.
Rosé put on small smile on her lips and slightly nods.
“Okay.”
