CHAPTER VII

“Jiyeon-ah, wake up,” Rosé shakes Jiyeon’s shoulder slowly.

Jiyeon moves a little and stretch her body. She looks at Rosé sitting by her side and pull off a smile for Rosé.

“Hello,” Jiyeon greeted.

Rosé smile.

“Are you tired?” she asks.

Jiyeon shook her head.

“Are you okay?” Jiyeon puts her hand on Rosé’s hand on her lap.

Rosé nods. “Yeah, I’m fine. Why?”

“You look so troubled. Do you want me to give you a hug?” Jiyeon spread her arm. Rosé chuckled.

Rosé spread wide her arm as well for a hug. Jiyeon stand and hug Rosé as well as giving Rosé a kiss on her cheek.

“Why are you being so sweet right now? Do you want anything from me?” Rosé tease Jiyeon.

“If you want to give something, I will gladly accept it,” Jiyeon grins.

Rosé laugh. Her heavy heart just now rest down when she talks to Jiyeon.

“You know what? Let’s go for ice cream date before going back later. I’ll treat you to a lots of ice cream until your lips freeze and all your teeth fall down,” Rosé says excitedly.

“Yeay! Ice cream~ Ice cream~” Jiyeon exclaimed happily.

“What’s so exciting happening here?”

Lisa who came up suddenly interrupted.

“Chaeyoung’s going to buy me ice cream~ Lots of ice cream~” Jiyeon sings.

“Wow ice cream! Can Chaeyoung treat me to ice cream too?” Lisa made a puppy eyes and blinks several times.

Rosé chuckled.

“No way! Jiyeon and I are going for an ice cream date just the two of us. How can you interrupt our lovey dovey moments, Lalisa?” Rosé playfully puts her hand on her waist.

“Aww too bad I cannot join the date,” Lisa pouted.

Rosé and Jiyeon laugh.

“Just kidding Lisa! Of course we’d love to if you want to come along, right Jiyeonnie?” says Rosé.

Jiyeon nods happily.

“Yayyy!” Lisa seal-clapped her hands.

“What are you doing?”

Jennie asks as her, Lisa and Jisoo lay down on their chest on both Rosé’s side while she’s typing something on her laptop in front of her.

“Working,” Rosé answered shortly. Totally focused on her laptop.

“That….doesn’t look like a work to me?” Jisoo said.

Rosé slightly smile. “Working, but on my resume,” she replied.

“What happened?! Are you quitting?” Lisa shouted.

“Yah! Shhh!” Rosé puts her finger on lips, signalling Lisa to tone down her voice as Jiyeon is sleeping on the bed.

Lisa mouthed ‘Sorry’.

“Something wrong happened at the office?” Jisoo calmly asked. “I did notice you looked troubled when you came to the café earlier,” she added.

Rosé shook her head.

“Nothing’s wrong. I just feel like resting for a while. I’m tired of working. Besides, I have crazy rich old woman here to take care of me and Jiyeon,” Rosé grins, pointing at Jennie. Jennie widened her eyes.

“Rich? Yes. Old woman? Err…sort of. CRAZY? No, okay! I’m just crazily beautiful, that’s it,” says Jennie. “But, why so sudden?”

Rosé sigh.

“I don’t know. Actually, I kind of ed up my current project. So, I think before I get fired, it’s best if I quit, right?” Rosé spit out.

“The project this morning?” Lisa asked. Rosé nods. “But looks good to me though?”

“I got called over when I get back to the office. He is not satisfied with my planning,” Rosé tells the girls.

“But you can still redo it right? I know you’re not the type to give up so early. Why are you giving up now?” Jisoo talks like a big sister.

“Yes Chae. It’s so hard for you to get this job, how can you let it go so easily? If you’re stuck, you can always ask for our help,” Jennie added to what Jisoo had said.

Rosé shook.

”It’s not easy this time,” she replied.

“Why?” Lisa asked.

“I mess up with my client.”
