Jennie sighed heavily as she turned the ignition off. They are currently parked outside the café where they are supposed to meet with Rosie. ‘This is it’ she muttered under her breath.  “Are you ready?” Lisa asked from the passenger seat. Jennie nodded at her best friend “Yes, let’s go”

The moment they entered the café, Jennie almost immediately lost her breath, for the girl she’s been longing to see is sitting at the far-end corner by the window. She hasn’t seen her in weeks and Jennie’s heart ached. She knows she misses her, but seeing her made her realize even more how much she missed the older girl. She wiped the tears that were starting to form in the corner of her eyes. She just stood there by the entrance for a few seconds trying to paint the view in her memory, keeping it in there for her to remember forever. She could stay there for as long as she could, if that would mean she gets to look at Jisoo, but her best friend decided to let their presence known by calling Jisoo and Rosie’s names out loud before literally running towards them like an eager child.

“Jisoooooo” Lisa cried and hugged Jisoo, “I’ve missed you so much! I didn’t even get to say sorry or explain things to you in person. I’m sorry” she then broke the hug and continued “I hope you’ll find it in your heart to forgive us” she said sadly

Jisoo chuckled in response “I’m not mad at you pabo-ya” and patted Lisa’s head

Lisa’s eyes brightened with delight “Really?”

“Really” Jisoo smiled at her genuinely

“Thank you!! I promise we won’t do it again”

“You better! It’s not a nice feeling to be played at”

Jennie winced after hearing those words. She remembered how hurt Jisoo was after finding out about the bet, and she was the ‘cause why Jisoo got hurt.

“Hi” she forced to say out loud, she could barely get it out from , but Jisoo heard it still.

Jisoo didn’t say anything in return, but she gave Jennie a small smile. Jennie knew the other girl was only trying to be polite, but she’ll take what she can get.

Rosie coughed to break the tension “Uhm, Jennie? The USB?”

“Huh?” Jennie was lost in her trance

“You came here to give me that right?”

“Oh, right” Jennie took the USB from her purse and gave it to Rosie

“Thanks, sooo I guess we’re done?” Rosie said. She tried not to make it sound hostile because she really didn’t mean it that way, it’s just that, she didn’t want Jisoo to be uncomfortable in Jennie’s presence. Plus, it’s a Saturday and she really didn’t want to work today.

Jennie was so busy looking at Jisoo who was busy eating her cake that she failed to respond to Rosie prompting Lisa to nudge her.

“Sorry what?” Jennie asked

“I mean, we really don’t have to work today, do we?” Rosie asked

“Oh no, no” Jennie waved her hands dismissively
