Jisoo decided to stay at her parent’s house since she didn’t want to see Jennie. The other girl has never been to her parents’ house before so she’d never know where to look for her. She also knew that Rosie would never tell Jennie her parents’ address so it’s her little safe haven. She didn’t come to work for a week, in fact, she just stayed in her room day and night mostly crying herself to sleep and barely eats anything. Her parents would always convince her to eat, and she would sometimes eat a little just so her parents would worry less.

This is why Jisoo guarded her heart for the past 25 years, she never wanted to be close to anyone because that would only mean she’s giving the person the power to break her heart. And it hurts, a lot; to the point where she can physically feel her heart hurting. She would often convince herself that this pain is not going to be forever, and that she’s eventually going to be okay, but until then, all she can do is to cry, and cry, and cry a lot more.

She also knew that she can’t hide from Jennie forever, eventually she’s going to have to go to work, and that means there’s a chance see might see Jennie. Her coworkers already informed her that Jennie has been coming to their office everyday waiting for her in the lobby only to be told that she didn’t come to work. But that didn’t stop the other girl from coming to her office anyway, everyday Jennie still visits to check if Jisoo had come to work. Did Jennie ever tried to text or call her? She wouldn’t know. She blocked Jennie’s number the same night she asked Jennie to leave her apartment.

At first, Jisoo couldn’t believe that Jennie could do that to her, she kept thinking what she did wrong in her life to be played like that. She was living her life honestly, she never hurt anyone, she would like to think she was nice, and oftentimes she would help those who were in need. So why did it have to happen to her? Why did she have to hurt this way? Is this karma for something that she did? What did she do wrong to deserve this? Those were the questions that ran through Jisoo’s head every day.

But Jisoo has to be strong, especially now that she’s about to go back to work after being gone for an entire week. She’s still not gonna go home to her apartment yet though, not until she makes sure Jennie wouldn’t bother her anymore. Rosie told her that Jennie comes by every day to check if she was there. Sure, her commute is going to take longer now that she’s going to stay at her parents’ house, but that would at least guarantee her of not having Jennie around.

Jennie has been extra cranky over the past week especially on their staff – well actually she’s been going off on literally almost everyone. No one dares to enter Jennie’s office, not when she has this bad face on except Lisa.

“Hey, still no luck in finding Jisoo?” Lisa asked sitting on the chair across Jennie

“No one would tell me where she is” Jennie sighed in frustration

 “Well, let’s just hope that Chaeng would tell me something”

“She’s not even talking to you!” Jennie huffed in annoyance

“Not yet, unnie. But I know she will, eventually. After all I was just an accomplice to the crime”

“You were the mastermind!”

Lisa waved her hand to dismiss Jennie “Earlier she replied to my text”

“What did she say?” Jennie raised her eyebrow

“She said ‘get lost” Lisa grinned

“And that’s good because??”

“At least she replied to me. That’s an improvement” Lisa shrugged

Jennie agrees that it was indeed an improvement. At least her best friend is getting somewhere, even if Rosie’s reply sounded hostile, she still replied. Unlike her, she couldn’t even send messages to Jisoo because the girl blocked her number. Jennie groaned in frustration, she’s worried about Jisoo. She just wants to know if the other girl is okay, or if she’s eating well. But it’s a new week, and Jennie would again try to visit Jisoo’s office, hoping to see the girl.

So Jennie found herself in Jisoo’s office lobby, an hour before Jisoo ends her shift. She’s always early just to make sure she won’t miss Jisoo if she’s back working. And she didn’t, she thought that after more than a week of not seeing the other girl, her heart would do flip-flops when she finally sees her again. But this time, her heart ached at the sight of her. Jisoo became thinner and the bags under her eyes are also heavier. Her eyes also lacked the usual brightness it normally radiates. 

Jennie nervously walked towards the other girl, Jisoo was looking down on her feet while walking so she didn’t immediately notice Jennie approaching her “Hey, Chu”

Jisoo’s heart raced upon hearing the familiar voice, she looked up and saw a seemingly hesitant Jennie. She avoided the other girl for more than a week and seeing her again for the first time brings her back to square one. She didn’t say anything, after all, she didn’t know what to say, she just stared blankly at the other girl
