Don't Show Off
The Goddess Of LuckJi Hyo waited at the table staring into blank space, until her distant thoughts were disrupted by two bowls of soup placed in front of her by Jong Kook.
"I thought you said you were cooking? Why is there only soup?"
"Soup has to be cooked too! It's nourishing and healthy, so drink up!"
Ji Hyo rolled her eyes, but drank the soup anyway. Surprisingly, it tasted good, and Ji Hyo relished in the rich flavor, draining the broth to the final drop.
She set the empty bowl on the table with a thud, causing Jong Kook to look up from his own soup with disbelief.
"That was fast..."
Ji Hyo shrugged.
"What can I say? You boil well."
"I don't cook well but I 'boil' well?"
"It's good soup, but I still don't consider making soup cooking, sorry!"
Ji Hyo stuck out her tongue childishly, before she got up and began to walk away.
"Oh wait, do you still want to come along next time?"
Jong Kook shook his head.
"Sorry, as much as I want to, teleportation is still too strange for me..."
Ji Hyo tutted.
"That's your loss I guess!"
Over the next few weeks, Ji Hyo began her daily routine of going around to various rural villages and civilizations, performing miracles and such, blessing the people with her luck. It all went smoothly and her strength never faltered. But one day that was not the case.
Ji Hyo landed in the middle of a winery, which was equivalent to her heaven. However, despair painted the workers' faces.
"What's wrong?"
"Who... Who are you?"
The workers were fascinated by the Goddess' beauty. Nothing new.
"My name is Song Ji Hyo. I am the Goddess of Luck. Did anything bad happen at the winery?"
