Bad ThingsThat time Yongsun knew that it wasn’t only Seulgi who needs to talk to Byulyi. She, too, needs to talk with her and maybe talk some sense to her to stop doing all of this crime because she knows Byulyi didn’t want to go to jail. Yongsun scoffed, no one wants to get stuck behind the bars for years.
But it’s been almost a week and Byulyi still hasn’t come back to Yongsun’s place. Did she forget? Did she not want to see Yongsun again after she told Yongsun the truth? Did the police catch her…? Her heart felt heavy at the thought of Byulyi being arrested by the police. The number of crimes being reported since Seulgi called her that time keep on increasing. There was even a day where there are two bank robberies and once again, they suspected ‘The Nameless Gang’ was one of the criminals who joined in the crime. It was reported that said gang got help from their fellow gang who the police still haven’t got any lead on.
Recently, there was a gang war happened and it injured up to seven people around the area, three were found dead and two of the gang members were shot to death. Yongsun choked at the news and she immediately went to her room to get her phone. She lets out a relieved sigh when she received a text message from Seulgi.
[ It’s not her. I’ll update you again later. ]
Turns out Seulgi wasn’t planning on texting her back but visiting her place. The moment Yongsun opened her door, the look on Seulgi’s face is enough to terrify something in her. Seulgi stepped inside her place wordlessly and went straight into Yongsun’s kitchen to grab a glass of water herself.
“You can just sit and I’ll get it for you.” Yongsun said softly.
Seulgi only hold her hand up, signaling Yongsun to not talk any further just yet. She took another full glass of water and gulp it as if there’s no tomorrow. Yongsun wonders why was Seulgi looking very exhausted and tired. It was only after Seulgi took a long deep breath until she finally calms her breathing down and take a seat on Yongsun’s sofa-bed. Yongsun waits for another moment before she throws Seulgi several questions regarding the gang war news on TV.
“You all okay now?”
“Mm, yeah.” She breathed, taking another soft deep breath. “It’s about Byul.”
Yongsun clenches her jaw at the mention of Byulyi’s name.
“What about her?”
“Is she already visit your place?”
She shakes her head, “No, I don’t know why it takes so long.”
“I probably know why.”
“Then now is your cue to start telling me.” Yongsun was in no mood for another stalling. She’s already starting to get impatient.
Seulgi can see that clearly so she started telling Yongsun what she knows. How much progress the police have gone now and how close they are to catch Byulyi and her gang. Seulgi didn’t sugarcoat anything but she did mention the police still hasn’t found out about Byulyi’s real name but the scary part was the fact of how much evidence the police collected to lead them towards Byulyi and how fast and easy to get them.
It was too sudden and Seulgi suspected something else from all these evident findings. The police have tried to chase after these criminals for almost a whole year and they have never gotten close to even scratch the surface of the people behind those crimes. And then now, of all time, these same criminals started to get sloppy and leave numerous of evidence behind. It was almost all these crimes and even the gang war that happened recently were all planned. That the police were meant to take the bait and this far whatever plan these criminals came up with have been working so well.
“There are two possibilities; the first one was Byulyi did plan all of this on purpose, for what reason I still don’t know. Second one was Byulyi wasn’t the
