JJ Project (+Mark)

Markjin one shots

JJ Project.

He didn't want to hear those two words ever again. Too bad for him, that was close to impossible.

They were having a comeback.

Not them, Got7. JJ Project was. He was surrounded by posters and advertisements and teasers and what not. But even worse he was surrounded by a hyped up Jinyoung. Now he didn't mind being surrounded by Jinyoung, but the thing that he was hyped up about bothered him to death.

JJ project this, JJ project that. Every single thing revolved around JJ project. There was no time for Got7, no place for Mark. Okay, maybe that wasn't true, but it sure felt like it.

Jinyoung was always busy. Always. And he didn't want to admit it but he missed him. Terribly. He loved hearing his soothing voice, seeing the wrinkles near his eyes when he laughed, watching him dance and sing passionately, the way he did best. Funny, how you only really realise that when it's no longer there.

He had almost no one there to distact him either. Jackson was preparing his own album, Bambam was back in Thailand. And the others were working on their own things. He had tried to look for things to do, but he got bored by them pretty easily. Nothing had the same effect as hanging out with Jinyoung.

He was sprawled out across the couch, his arms hanging limp. He lifted his phone to his face. He had sent Jinyoung a text about an hour ago and still hadn't got a reply. He heard the door open and soon saw Jinyoung come in. He sighed a little and then noticed Mark.

"Oh, hi hyung" he said.

"Hey, how are you'' he asked sitting up straight.

"I'm okay" he said with a sigh.

"Want to go do something with me" he asked excitedly. Jinyoung's face fell a little. Mark noticed he hadn't taken off his shoes yet.

"I'm sorry hyung, I have practice" he said with a guilty face.

"Oh that's fine" Mark said as he fell back onto the couch. Jinyoung even called him hyung on a regular basis, which didn't happen often. It used to not happen often. He sighed, what would he do now. He heard Jinyoung move around and he shot back up.

"Can I come" he asked. Jinyoung looked uncertain.

"Uh, I guess you can" he said. He was really acting strange, a little uncomfortable. He got up from the couch and slipped into his shoes. He quickly followed Jinyoung outside. It was chilly and he shivered a little. He should have worn a jacket.

"Are you cold" Jinyoung asked him.

"No I'm fine" he lied putting his hands deep inside his pockets.

"You can have my jacket" Jinyoung offered.

"No, you can't catch a cold. You have more important stuff to do than I do" he said. Jinyoung turned his face away again, looking almost sad. He decided not to say anything about it. They made their way into the building and out of the cold. They went into the dance studio and Jinyoung soon got together with people to arrange stuff or something.

He sat down on the hard polished floor just when Jaebum came in. He was taking off his jacket when he noticed him.

"Hey hyung, you're here too" he asked with a smile. He nodded with a small smile.

"Don't laugh at us too much" Jaehum chuckled out.

"No promises" he said his hands raised.

They gathered together and Mark watched them as they studied, and repeated, and danced, and repeated. He watched Jaebum lean on Jinyoung's shoulders, watched him smile at him, watched them laugh together, and wondered why again he had wanted to come so bad. He only got more annoyed by the second. After an hour he got up.

"Are you leaving hyung" Jaebum asked.

"Yeah. You guys were great, but I have to get back to the dorm to uh… do stuff. I'll see you there" he said with an awkward smile. He made his was out of the studio. He heard hurried footsteps behind him. He felt a hand around his wrist and got turned around.

"At least take my jacket" Jinyoung said panting. Mark's eyes widened.

"What did I just tell you" he said with a smile "You should go back, they're probably waiting for you" he said. Jinyoung's hand was still around his wrist.

"You're not going to let me go, are you" Mark chuckled out.

"As much as you don't want me to catch a cold, I don't want you to catch one either" he said "hyung" he quickly added.

"Alright, alright" he said. Jinyoung let go and quickly pushed the jacket into his hands. He stormed back into the practice room and Mark smiled to himself. What a dork. A very cute, lovely, funny, kind dork. He turned around and made his way back to the dorm, making sure to firmly wrap the jacket around him.
~
A few days later he found himself in the same position sprawled out across the couch in utter boredom. And boredom made his mind run, run around thoughts of Jinyoung. What was he doing at the moment? Who was with him? He could probably predict both of them.

"Hey hyung" he heard Yugyeom scream from his room.

"What" he yelled back sitting up straight.

"Can you get me some more ramen" he yelled now seemingly coming closer.

"No" he answered.

"Ah please. Jinyoung and Jaebum are also coming back, I'll make ramen for everyone" he yelled. Mark hesitated. Food always sounded good.

"Alright, fine" he said getting up. He threw on a jacket and at the last moment decided to grab an umbrella. He walked out rain immediately pouring down on him. He sped towards the closest convenience store and bought as much ramen as he thought Yugyeom might need.

He made his way back under the umbrella. As he passed the dance studios he saw a familiar figure hesitantly watching the rain from the door. Jinyoung. He smiled and came a little closer. He came up beside him and put the umbrella over Jinyoung's head. Jinyoung jumped and turned around.

"Hyung" he said hiding his flushed cheeks in his scarf. He smiled a little.

"Were you going back" he asked.

"Yes, but it was raining so hard" Jinyoung answered while looking back at the rain, his words muffled by his scarf.

"You can come with me" he said waving the umbrella a little "Yugyeom said he is going to make ramen for us" he continued with a chuckle.

"Hmmm" Jinyoung sarcastically hummed "delicious"

"Food is food" he laughed out.

"Yes, and I'm starving" Jinyoung said with a bright smile. He grabbed Mark at his elbow of the arm that was holding the umbrella "let's go" he said while pulling him into the rain. Mark smiled to himself and quickly followed him.

When they arrived at their dorm Yugyeom did as he had promised and they all had diner together for the first time in a while. It was as always still ramen, but it was better with the members around. They couldn't get Jackson to shut up about his new album and Jinyoung and Jaebum had enough to say about theirs too. He couldn't help but feel jaelous, but not enough for it to ruin his evening.
~
His phone made a sound as he was again slumped against the couch that had become his second home. Jinyoung and Jaebum were having an interview today. He had never thought he'd be able to mis Jinyoung this much, but there was something to him that just made everything ten times better.

The notification showed an article about the interview. The headline said something about JJP apologizing to their fellow Got7 members. He quickly opened it. Apparently in the interview Jinyoung and Jaebum had apologized for coming back outside of Got7. Mark smiled unconsciously as he saw a picture of Jinyoung and read what he had said. Considerate as always. One of the many things he loved about Jinyoung.

Wait. Loved.

He had always used that phrase lightly, true. But now all its impact seemed to hit him. Could it be?

No, that was ridiculous.

On the other hand, also very explanatory. And, well, logical.

Suddenly his phone hit him right in the face. He shook his head. He had been so distracted by his thoughts that he had dropped his own phone on his own face. He chuckled a little at his own clumsiness. Then realization hit him again just as hard as his phone had.

Did he really love Jinyoung?

He had never really loved anyone, or well not in that way, so he had no idea how it was supposed to feel. But Jinyoung just made him feel many things. Happy, save, treasured, loved, proud, smart, talented, jaelous, stupid, giddy, worried, and-

Oh .

He did love him.

He sighed deeply. The realisation made him flush, and Jinyoung wasn't even around. How would that go if he was. And what would he do with this information. It wasn't like he could just confess and live happily ever after. He realised that he did want that. He wanted to hold Jinyoung's hand, and cuddle him to sleep, and kiss him, and he wanted to be able to call him his.

But Jinyoung was busy. Because JJ Project was having a comeback. Because at the moment there was no room for Mark in his bust schedule. JJ Project. For some reason those words sounded even more threatening now. He groaned.

"What's wrong with you" Jackson who had just entered the room asked. He sat up and looked at him. He rubbed his face.

"Nothing" he forced out.

"Yeah, sure" Jackson answered, not believing a word he had said "You know, this always happens when Jinyoung isn't around. Does he really affect your mood that much" Jackson chuckled out and left again.

Wow. Even Jackson had noticed. Now he must say Jackson was very observatory. Which he apparently hadn't been. Not at all. He fell back down.

Now what?
~
For a change he hadn't even bothered to come out of bed today. Well not completely. He had eaten and gone for a little walk, but it was around diner time and he was back in bed. He was aimlessly scrolling through his social media accounts when he suddenly got a text. He almost jumped up when he saw it came from Jinyoung.

Hey Mark, I'm lonely, wanna come eat pizza with me?

He immediately replied.

Of course, where are you?

Studio

And Jaebum

Went out to eat with a producer or something

I'm on my way

He immediately jumped out of bed and got dressed in an oversized sweater that almost fell over his hands and jeans. He made sure to grab a jacket anyway, as it was still cold.

I'll order now

Mark smiled. Jinyoung wasn't intending on eating out at all, he was just going to order. He quickly made his way into the studio building and towards the studio he knew Jinyoung would be in. He opened the door to see Jinyoung lying flat on his back, apparently just staring up at the ceiling. He soflty approached him from behind and saw his eyes were actually closed.

He lowered himself and placed his hands on either side of Jinyoung's head. He lowered his face and when their noses almost touched Jinyoung's eyes shot open.

"Hi" he softly said.

"Hey" Jinyoung quietly answered. He felt his breath against his forehead. They just stared at each other.

"You're quick" Jinyoung whispered.

"I even came out of bed for you" he chuckled out. Jinyoung chuckled lightly.

"I'm honoured" he said.

"Uh, I have a pizza delivery for Park Jinyoung" a new voice awkwardly coughed out. Mark shot up and looked at the door. A young girl stood there awkwardly holding a pizza box in front of her.

"That would be me" Jinyoung said while getting up. He walked towards the girl and Mark could see her cheeks getting redder as he came closer.

"Oh my God, I can't believe it's actually you" the girl choked out. Jinyoung chuckled charmingly and Mark's heart couldn't help but speed up. He wasn't the only one though, the girl looked like she could faint any minute.

"Well it is" he coldly answered positioning himself next to Jinyoung.

"You too" the girl's eyes went even bigger. Now it was Mark's turn to chuckle. Right, they were both pretty well known.

"So the two of you, are you-"

"That should be enough" Jinyoung interrupted her by pushing some money towards her and grabbing the pizza. He softly pushed her outside of the room and closed the door.

"What was that about" he asked suprised at Jinyoung's actions.

"I could ask you the same" Jinyoung bit back sitting down again. He decided not to answer and just sat down. They ate the pizza in silence.

"Honestly I could eat an entire other one" Jinyoung huffed out.

"Then why don't you" he asked suprised at his remark.

"Comeback diet" he said shortly.

"Ah, right" he said absentmindedly. Personally he didn't think Jinyoung needed a diet at all. He stretched out his legs and Jinyoung took the opportunity to drop his head in his lap.

"Are you tired" he asked, his hand unconsciously trough Jinyoung's hair.

"Terribly" he confessed "but I shouldn't bother you with it" he quickly continued.

"I have nothing else to worry about anyway" Mark said lightly. He kept stoking his hair. "You're all I have been worrying about" he admitted.

"Have I" Jinyoung asked absentmindedly.

"Tell me what's on your mind" he coaxed. Jinyoung sighed.

"Just the whole comeback. Don't get me wrong, I love Jaebum and everything, but it's so tiring. Everything you have to think about, everything you have to remember and do, it's just a lot more when you're just with two. But what bothers me the most is… I just miss you" he sighed out.

"Of course you miss us, we're always together with the seven of us, it makes sense that you're used to that" he comforted Jinyoung.

"I think you're misunderstanding me" Jinyoung said looking up at him "I miss you" he repeated. Finally it dawned on Mark that Jinyoung was talking about him specifically.

"Me" he asked pointing at himself. Jinyoung nodded.

"You just have this way of making me relax completely, of taking my worries away for just a minute. I stayed behind on purpose today, just so that I could spend some time with you" he chuckled at his own confession.

"I'm glad you did" he asnwered him "because I missed you terribly too" he added with a smile.

"Really. Why" Jinyoung asked.

"Because" he paused. He couldn't tell Jinyoung a lot without revealing how much he actually liked him. The fact that Jinyoung had missed him too didn't do anything about that. That's just how Jinyoung was. He looked up towards the ceiling.

"Because with you around things are a lot more fun. Less tiring, in general" he decided to say. Jinyoung chuckled.

"I'm glad" he sighed out. He looked back down and they just stared at each other for a while.

"Tell me honestly, what do you really think about this comeback" Jinyoung suddenly asked.

Honestly. I love that you're doing what you love and what you have always worked had for, but I just can't stand seeing you hang around Jaebum all the time. I can't stand seeing you dance and sing without being able to be there beside you. I can't stand seeing you smile and laugh and be so extremely charming that my heart wants to explode. I can't stand not having you around, cause turns out, I really love it when you're around.

But he didn't say any of that.

"I think it's great that you're finally coming back" he said.

"Oh" Jinyoung answered "that's all"

"Well, I" he hesitated. No that's not all, but I could never tell you that. Jinyoung looked up at him with big expectant eyes. He back his hair and placed a little kiss on his forehead.

"Not really" he whispered against Jinyoung's skin.

"Oh" Jinyoung choked out. And so he decided to just say it. He had no idea what had made him say it. Maybe it was Jinyoung's dissapointed tone, or his big eyes. Or just the opportunity he had now, one that he wouldn't get anymore. Everything he had thought he now spit out.

"Honestly. I can't stand not having you around, cause turns out, I really love it when you're around."

Jinyoung looked stunned.

"Oh" he stuttered.

"You're very talkative today" Mark remarked sarcastically seeing that Jinyoung wasn't taking it that well. He inched away from Jinyoung again. Only his head was stopped by a hand.

"You really think that" Jinyoung asked.

"I was pretty serious, yeah" he answered.

"Oh" Jinyoung said yet again. Jinyoung's arms s around his neck and he snuggled his head in his neck. His breath caught in his throat. Jinyoung was now sitting on his lap. He hugged him back tightly.

"You have no idea how much I missed you" Jinyoung breathed into his neck. He chuckled at how brave Jinyoung was being. "Not being around you made me realise how much I love you even more. And even though you might sometimes annoy the heck out of me, I can't go without you" Jinyoung mumbled still hidden in his neck.

"Hey. Look at me" he said softly. He took Jinyoung's face into both his hands and his cheeks with his thumbs. "That really makes two of us" he laughed out. Jinyoung smiled brightly.

"Hey guys, are you still-" Jaebum barged into the room but immediately stopped when he saw their position. "Ah, I guess I'll leave then" he said while slowly backing out of the room.

Mark looked back at Jinyoung and both of them started laughing.

"I guess we should get back" he suggested. Jinyoung pouted a little.

"I can stay with you tonight right" he asked bravely.

"Hmm, I don't know" he said acting as though he was thinking really hard about his answer. Jinyoung grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the studio.

"Well I'm going to, wether you like it or not"

He carefully intertwined their fingers and smiled. How he had not expected this. No he hadn't expected this at all.

They arrived at the dorm together. When they got in they could just see Jaebum and Jackson sitting with their heads close to each other, talking about something in hushed voices. They immediately shut up when the two of them came in. He quickly hid their hands behind his back and smiled at them innocently.

"Ah you're back" Jackson remarked. Jinyoung hummed and just made his way towards his bedroom, pulling Mark with him. Being inside they both burst into giggles.

"Did you see their faces" Jinyoung said.

"Yeah" Mark choked out, still laughing. Jinyoung let go of his hand and dropped himself on a bed with a heavy sigh.

"I haven't slept properly in days" he admitted.

"Why" he asked, lowering himself on the bed too.

"Too much worrying, too many thoughts" he said vaguely. He hummed in response. Jinyoung suddenly pulled him towards him and hugged him tight. He felt him place a kiss on top of his head.

"I love you" Jinyoung whispered against his hair.

"And I love you" he asnwered softly "and that's why I want you to get some sleep" he continued. He looked up at him to see him pouting again.

"What" he asked.

"You still didn't finish what you were going to do" he whined. He laughed.

"I can't believe that you're only interested in the physical part of this relationship" he laughed out.

"So we're in a relationship" Jinyoung asked cheekily.

"Only if you want to of course" he said quickly.

"Then i don't care what you can and can not believe" he answered him. He closed the gap between their lips catching Mark completely of guard. His eyes shot closed and he gave in to the kiss. He hadn't expected Jinyoung to be this passionate. He pulled away, completely out of breath.

"Wow. Okay" he said stunned. Jinyoung laughed and pulled him onto the bed. He threw the blankets over them and snuggled as close as he could possibly get.

"Jinyoung we need to change" he said.

"I don't care" he responded sleepily.

"Hey" he said only to find Jinyoung already asleep. He chuckled and made him a little more comfortable. It was the best he had slept in days.                                                       ~                                                                           He woke up with Jinyoung sleeping soundly in his arms. He was positive he could watch Jinyoung like this forever. He smiled lightly when Jinyoung's eyes fluttered open.

"Hey" he said.

"Hi" the answer followed, his voice still hoarse from sleeping.

"Did you sleep well" he asked.

"Better than I have in days" Jinyoung answered while stretching out his entire body, hitting Mark in the process.

"Ouch" he huffed out in fake pain.

"Oh, I'm sorry, did i hurt my over sensitive boyfriend" he said teasingly. The word lingered in his ears. Boyfriend.

"A kiss would take the pain away" he said cheekily.

"Are we playing like that now" Jinyoung said but he stil gave him a little peck on his lips. He hummed in response.

"You started it" he teased.

"Did I now"

"Yes. You joined JJP" he whined.

"Then I'm turning it into MJP" he answered determined "Markjin project"

"I'm looking forward to working with you" he said with a grin.

"Then let's start now" Jinyoung suggested.
