a bruised back and pride
Just Focus On Me
Wonwoo had a giant bruise the next morning.
It looked like a giant purple pancake on Wonwoo’s back. The bruise
was a little bumpy and hurt from the lightest of touches. All of Wonwoo’s
shirts were too tight and the small bump was clearly visible, that meant that Wonwoo
had to find a shirt from a long time ago when he like baggy clothes. Wonwoo
came out looking like he was wearing a garbage bag as the only shirt he had
that didn’t show the giant bump was a shiny black sweater that Wonwoo had only
worn once for an hour until Jihoon told him to take it off.
“Well Wonwoo. Today is not your best day.” Wonwoo told his
reflection.
“It sure isn’t…” Wonwoo’s reflection responded causing Wonwoo to
shake his head before his reflection returned back to normal. He must have also
hit his head during the fall because that was the only explanation for Wonwoo
to have just witnessed his reflection sass him… himself?
Wonwoo ignored the weird run in with his sassy reflection and the
immense pain pulsing from his giant bruise and pulled on a pair of ripped jeans
hoping they would make up for the garbage bag shirt Wonwoo was wearing.
“Today is Friday no one is at their best on a Friday.” Wonwoo
reasoned with the air this time, he wasn’t taking the chance of his reflection
talking back to him again, before exiting his room to find Mingyu making
pancakes.
“Hyung, you’re finally awake!” Mingyu called excitedly with his
back still turned to Wonwoo. Wonwoo took this chance to escape; he didn’t want
Mingyu to see him in such a fragile state and made a dash to the door leaving a
confused Mingyu behind him.

“I see you found your home.” Jihoon commented upon first looking
at Wonwoo. “But did you really have to wear it like a shirt?” Jihoon added
sassily while his eyes scanned Wonwoo’s garbage bag resembling shirt.
Wonwoo grabbed Jihoon’s arm and dragged him into the abandoned
hallway where he lifted up the back of his shirt, showing Jihoon the bruise.
Jihoon let out a whistle at the size of the bruise and also how muscular
Wonwoo’s back was.
“My reflection talked to me this morning Jihoon!” Wonwoo blurted
out desperate to tell his best friend everything. “It sassed me!” Wonwoo added
frantically.
“Tell me everything.” Jihoon demanded, finding a comfy spot on the
floor of the h
