“I’m so sorry. I wasn’t thinking straight.” I stuttered immediately and prepared for a punch or a slap or some swearing, or even worse, a very long cold war.

It took him a few seconds before he could reply. “Whatever.” He looked as flustered as I was but less annoyed than I’d imagine. In fact, it didn’t seem like he was annoyed at all. He did though, rush out of the library almost immediately.

I couldn’t think straight. I was insane. I was an absolute idiot.
