So I got the idea to write this from one of my favorite authors on Tumblr and I was originally writing this on another website but I decided to post it here and get some people's thoughts on it.

Current Guard:

Ren is basically a Control Wizard from Neverwinter. He mainly uses an orb for his magic, but he is able to use spells without his orb. His teacher and mentor was an orb user so Ren just went with using the orb. His main element is fire, and his god is the great dragon Kris.

Baekho is a shapeshifter, though he has trouble shifting between forms so he doesn't shift often. He is most noted for his skill with knives.

Aron is an archer, skilled in his sharpshooting skills. Has a wolf companion he raised from a pup named Baekhyun.

JR is the leader, known for his leadership skills and his ability to face anything and everything without fear. Is the jack of all trades when it comes to weapons, but he doesn't do much with magic. He leaves that to Ren

Minhyun is well known for being a skilled strategist, able to come up with working strategies on the fly. He is also well known for his use of a sword.

Past Guard:

Chanyeol is an orb user, but his element is lightning. Is Ren's uncle, and was his mentor for a time until Luhan took over in training. His god is Chen, a black panther. Died during a mission that had gone horribly wrong.

Luhan is also an orb user, but his element is ice. became Ren's mentor after Chanyeol had passed away during a mission. His god is Xiumin, the polar bear. Died during one last mission the queen had sent him and Kyungsoo on after Ren and the rest of the new guard got appointed.

Jongin is a shapeshifter, though he rarely changed during his time in the guard. Died after a tragic accident involving Ren and Yixing when Jongin decided to be a test dummy for Ren's training.

Yixing is a medic, who was really good friends with Jongin even after they joined the guard. Was in deep depression after Jongin died but helped Ren learn the basics in the medical field before he committed suicide due to grief.

Kyungsoo is an earth mage, the only one out of the past guard that is still alive. He knew what he was getting into when the queen had sent him and Luhan out, so when it came to him being the sole survivor he became a mercenary, He refuses to take missions that would bring him to the capitol because he knew he would be killed the minute he walked through the gates.
