Back In Time – Chapter 15

Continuation of Flashback

It’s been two weeks as Yunho was arrested. The police spent two weeks to thoroughly investigate the case, but they couldn’t come up with any other logical solution, other than those evidences that point out Yunho as the culprit.Today was the day of the trial. The day when the judge will decide on his punishment. The day when he will change into a new Jung Yunho, perhaps. The day he will smile for the last time.

“According to discussion by the judging panel, I pronounce that the accused Jung Yunho ssi is guilty. And the punishment that shall befall him is an eight years of prison.”

And the judge knocked his hammer to sign that the trial has ended and that the decision was final. Yunho couldn’t help but stare blankly. It was the day of his trial, fourteen days after the incident, and no one had ever visited him. No one. Well in fact, Yunho didn’t expect anyone to visit him. Well actually his sister, Sooyoung comes once in a while, but at least, that one person. One person that he had wanted to see, one person that his heart called for. Kim Jaejoong.

That Kim Jaejoong whom he protected was nowhere to be seen for these whole two weeks.

The image of Jaejoong begging him not to take the blame for him was still vivid in his mind. But that same exact Kim Jaejoong had never come to see how he was doing. Not even once. Had Jaejoong’s mind change? That quick?

Yunho once wished Jaejoong will not come. He didn’t want Jaejoong to see him in such a state, and he didn’t want to see Jaejoong cry for him, he didn’t want Jaejoong to feel guilty, he didn’t want to get Jaejoong involved and on top of that, he didn’t want Jaejoong to confess that Yunho was covering for him. But deep inside, he knows his heart was yearning for the man he loved. Kim Jaejoong.

Never once in those fourteen days that he forgot Jaejoong. He wanted to know how Jaejoong was doing. Is he eating fine? Sleeping fine? Waking up fine without him by his side? Without his morning hugs and morning kisses? Yunho had spent sleepless nights under the dark roof of prison and cold floor. He misses his boo’s warmth. But, did Jaejoong feel the same?

Did he perhaps, have forgotten about me? Yunho couldn’t help but wonder so. I’m a murderer. And who will want to get involved to a murderer? No one. It’s no wonder that he doesn’t come to meet you. It’s because he wants to cut off any ties between him and you.

Yunho was transported from the trial court back to the prison using the police cab. It’s not easy for him to get to see the city of Seoul anymore. His only view was the cold wall and floor of Prison during the two worst weeks in his life.

He looked at the window, and a big TV caught his attention. He saw Jaejoong’s face on the screen in an interview.

“The successor of Kim Corporation, Kim Jaejoong ssi is stepping to the company. Let’s see how it feels.” The reporter turned to face Jaejoong who looked gorgeous as ever, dressed in a sophisticated black suit with his blonde hair. That man was wearing such a sweet smile as if when someone see him, no one will believe that Jaejoong had ever gone through a down side situation in his life, such as that night in that murderous room.

“Well, yes I’m still learning to be a good successor. It’s new and I’m nervous. But I believe efforts will take me there eventually.”

That face Yunho was longing to see was finally there, in front of his own eyes. He couldn’t help but shed a tear when he saw that face. Is he supposed to be sad? He thought he should have been happy to see Jaejoong to have recovered from that incident. Shouldn’t he be happy now? But… He’s sad. He’s sad that his clingy Boojae was able to live just fine and happy without him. He’s sad that his Boojae had forgotten about him. He’s sad that he took the blame for someone like him. Someone that forgets him when he’s done using him.

I’ve never expected you’re this dirty, Kim Jaejoong… And I’ll be stuck in prison for a freaking eight years for something I didn’t do and you just don’t bother to look at me even for once, even for saying goodbye.

With a determined and fiery look in his eyes, Yunho, that Jung Yunho had vowed to himself to take revenge on that Kim Jaejoong, as soon as possible, though he knew that the soonest is eight years later.

It was two weeks after the incident, but Ji Hyo had decided to call off the wedding. Yes the wedding was supposed to be today. But she doesn’t want her brother to marry now. Not in his current situation.

Letting her brother into the company was already quite a big decision for her. She was worried that Jaejoong’s condition was not fine enough for that. But due to the continuous begging from Jaejoong, Ji Hyo finally gave in. At least, Jaejoong had Siwon to guide him. Siwon is a good business man and she believed Jaejoong will learn a lot from him, not to mention that he cares a lot about Jaejoong.

Perhaps I should never let Joongie recovers his memories. What would he do if he finds out that he was in love with a murderer who is now in prison? In addition, that bastard Jung Yunho harmed Jaejoongie only to protect himself. What a disgusting jerk. Well, our Joongie seems to be happy enough with his current self, with me and Siwon by his side. I doubt he needs anything else.

Junsu and Yoochun held their mouths open when they heard the story of the past. Bastard. Even that word wasn’t rude enough to describe Siwon. Who would ever thought that Siwon acted in such a way in the past?

“But why Ji Hyo noona let you marry Siwon, hyung?” Junsu had just realized that he had praised the wrong man all this time.

“She doesn’t know the truth about the murder, right? Just like everyone, she thinks that Yunho was really a murderer.”

Yoochun smacked his own head when he seemed to have remembered something, “So Jung Yunho is supposed to be the legitimate heir, right?! No wonder! When I was still dating my ex girl, I heard her telling me a story about the new CEO of Choi corporation! I never thought it was Jung Yunho!”
