SAILBOATS
“Remember when we send those paper boats down the stream and how the heavy rain sank them to the bottom of the river?” Kyungsoo asked with his arms locked around Chanyeol’s.
“I sure do.”
“How sad you were back then,” Kyungsoo laughed at Chanyeol.
“But I was right,” Chanyeol said, “I said making wishes on paper boats can make them come true.”
“And it did.”
“I think…” Kyungsoo began and leaned his head against Chanyeol’s shoulder.
“It turned out better than I expected.”
“Yeah,” Chanyeol agreed, “It sure did.”
“I told you, I meant what I promised,” he smiled warmly at Kyungsoo.
“Thank you, Chanyeol,” Kyungsoo said with his eyes closed.
“Thank you for making our dreams come true.”
Their wedding rings clanged against each other as Chanyeol held Kyungsoo’s little hand in his. The diamonds on the rings glinted under the sunlight, reflecting dazzlingly.
The weather was sunny that day. The sky was clear and there was not a grey cloud in sight. A soft cool breeze was blowing and birds chirped on the trees. They were taking their usual walk in the park when suddenly something made Kyungsoo stopped in his tracks. He had heard something, something not used to him. The sound of children’s laughter.
