Episode 10’s Behind the Cameras (Aeri’s POV)

It’s been two days since Aeri and Jungkook had their housewarming party, and Aeri hasn’t seen Jungkook since yesterday. Aeri and Jungkook went to school on Monday and Aeri headed to JYP Entertainment directly after that to practice and sort out various details for their fan meeting which was to be held this afternoon. And Aeri stayed over at Fairies’ dorm for the past two nights due to the preparation for the fan meeting. But Jungkook was also busy and he also stayed over at BTS’ dorm. But Jungkook texted her often and he often asked how she was doing. It made Aeri happy, it showed that Jungkook cared about her even behind the cameras. They were getting closer, and it’s been nearly a month since they first met as a married couple.

At the moment, Aeri was rehearsing and preparing for the fan meeting with her members. It was their third fan meeting, it was not only to commemorate their fourth mini album but also their fifth year into their debut. It was originally meant to be held in April exactly on their fifth anniversary date, but Juyeon, Kyuyeon and Chaemin came down with bird flu just a few days before the event and it was cancelled and postponed to today. And Jungkook had promised Aeri that he would be here to watch her.

“Where is your husband, Aeri?” Asked Seomin, when they took a break while Kyuyeon and Mirae were rehearsing for their collaboration performance.

“Jungkook oppa has a schedule right now, but he said that he would rush over right away.” Said Aeri.

“That can’t be helped, especially with our line of work.” Nodded Seomin.

“Alright, we’ll break for lunch.” Announced their manager.

Aeri stretched her arms before following the members to collect their food. Aeri was handed a plate before she scooped her own food. Aeri set her food down on one of the tables and checked her phone. Aeri smiled and she checked her phone before her face flushed and she started playing with her ponytail shyly.

“Don’t tell me that your husband sent you an encouraging message?” Asked Seomin, slyly.

“He did.” Commented Juyeon, while leaning over Aeri’s shoulder.

“What did he say?” Asked Seomin, excitedly.

“See for yourself.” Grinned Juyeon, while Aeri handed her phone to Seomin.

Jungkook’s message:

Aeri-yah, good luck and have fun at your fan-meeting today. I have a schedule today but I will rush over as soon as possible. Fighting!

Your Husband, Jeon Jungkook. ;)

Along with the message was a selca of Jungkook, giving a thumbs up sign to encourage and support Aeri.

Aeri smiled shyly at her phone, Jungkook’s messages were always supportive and heart fluttering. He liked to send selcas of himself to Aeri, and Aeri always found herself smiling at his photos. Just yesterday, Jungkook had sent her a dubsmash video, making her laugh and it helped her feel a lot better about missing him. It cheered her up a little, giving her more confidence and energy to continue working hard towards her dream.

“Aigoo, your husband is so sweet.” Grinned Seomin.

Jungkook was sweet and he gave her plenty of attention by texting her supportive words or funny photos or videos to make her laugh. And that was enough for Aeri, as it was how he showed affection and care to her.

Aeri smiled as she replied to Jungkook’s supportive text with one of his own.

“Unnie, I feel old.” Grinned Juyeon, when Chaemin came over to their table.

“Why?” Asked Chaemin.

“Our brother-in-law is too sweet. I’m envious of Aeri.” Said Juyeon.

“They have been receiving a lot of love from everyone.” Said Chaemin.

“Aigoo, look at her. She isn’t even paying any attention to us when she’s texting her husband.” Grinned Seomin, when she saw Aeri texting her husband.

Aeri flushed and covered her face embarrassedly at the comment. The other members of Fairies laughed at their maknae’s adorable reaction. Aeri pouted at the fact that her unnies were teasing her but it soon died down and they had their lunch. Aeri wondered if Jungkook was properly having his lunch. There were times where he skipped his meals while working and practicing. Aeri hoped that he was having his meals properly, but she was worried so she texted Jin. It took Jin a few minutes to reply her that they were having their lunch at the moment, Jin even attached a photo of them having their lunch, and that made Aeri relieved that Jungkook was eating his meals properly.

After lunch, the girls of Fairies began to get ready for their fan meeting. Aeri changed into her outfit which consisted of a white short sleeved shirt with a denim overall dress, white socks, black platform shoes and white hair ribbons to tie her long hair into twin braids. Aeri’s makeup was simple and light, and her smile completed her look.

“Unnie, can you take a picture for me?” Asked Aeri.

One of the stylist unnies helped her take a picture of her in her outfit, as Jungkook requested that she send him a picture of her in her costume. Aeri sent the picture to Jungkook abet shyly. Aeri was reluctant to concede to Jungkook’s request but he used his agyeo on her, his agyeo that she couldn’t resist. Aeri eventually gave up and agreed to the request much to Jungkook’s delight and happiness.

Aeri started doing a breathing exercise before she was handed a microphone by one of the staff. Aeri slipped on her ear moniker before the staff signaled her to get into her position in the wings. A song started playing over the speakers and Aeri started singing as she stepped onto the stage much to the cheer and delight of the fans. One by one the members of Fairies appeared on stage singing the title track “Wonderland” of their fourth mini album, “Alice”.

“Thank you for coming to our fan meeting everyone!” Smiled Seomin.

“We have plenty of fun activities planned for today but before we begin we’ll introduce a special guest that will be with us for today’s program!” Said Kyuyeon.

“Please give our guest a round of applause as a welcome.” Said Juyeon.

The fans clapped enthusiastically and Aeri bit her lower lip, wondering who would be the special guest since she didn’t hear of such a news about a special guest. Aeri could hear footsteps as she bit her lip in anticipation. The special guest had a tall and rather slender build, it was obviously a male. Aeri silently pursed her lips when the special guest revealed himself, revealing himself to be 2PM’s Wooyoung. The fans cheered upon seeing Wooyoung as he bowed and greeted the crowd. Aeri and the other members of Fairies bowed as well but Aeri couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed that it wasn’t who she had thought of. Of course, she was also a little confused as to why Wooyoung was here at their fan meeting.

“Hello, I am 2PM’s Wooyoung. I’ll be the MC for today. Thank you for always showing the pretty ladies of Fairies so much love and support ever since their debut, we from JYP family are very thankful and touched.” Said Wooyoung.

“Oh, we do need an MC. That’s why Wooyoung oppa is here.” Thought Aeri, mentally slapping herself for not thinking of the possibility earlier.

“Aeri, there’s no need to be so disappointed. I know that you were expecting someone else.” Teased Wooyoung.

Aeri flushed and covered her face in embarrassment, wondering how Wooyoung knew what she was thinking. Aeri could hear the fan chants, some were chanting “AeKook”, and some were chanting “JungRi” while others were chanting “Bangtan”. This made Aeri even more embarrassed, as she shook her head flusteredly. While she had been expecting that it would be her husband, but hearing her members, sunbae and the fans cheering and teasing her made her flustered and even more embarrassed.

“Don’t worry maknae-yah, I’m sure that your husband will be here soon.” Teased Mirae.

Aeri pouted and Seomin hugged her, making the fans smile and chuckle at the young girl’s adorable reaction. Aeri had been expecting that it would be Jungkook since he promised her that he would be here. While Jungkook did have a schedule but he promised her that he would definitely be there before it ended. But Jungkook’s appearance now wouldn’t make things interesting anymore, so Aeri kept her hopes low and to herself.

“Alright, let’s get on with the program! Ladies please head to your seats.” Said Wooyoung.

Aeri headed to her seat and she sat in between Mirae and Kyuyeon who were sitting on Wooyoung’s left, with the male sitting in the middle of the six ladies.

“This fan meeting is to commemorate not only your fourth mini album but also your fifth year into your debut as an idol group. How much do you ladies think that you have matured during these five years? How about we start from our dearest leader?” Asked Wooyoung.

“I think that we’ve all grown and matured since our debut, we are all still students back then. Only Aeri is still in high school, but we’ve all grown and matured since then. I mean look at Aeri, she used to be the same height as us, now she’s one of the tallest and most successful maknaes out there.” Said Chaemin.

Aeri blushed shyly and shook her head humbly. Aeri has indeed grown a lot since her trainee and debut days. During her debut days, Aeri stood at 150 cm tall, and she now stood at 171 cm tall. She had grown by 21 cm in 5 years, something which surprised her since her family was mainly on the average height side. But her mother often said that she inherited her maternal grandfather’s genes as all of her uncles and cousins from her mother’s side were all pretty tall, with her mother being the only daughter in the family.

“That is true, and since Aeri was mentioned, how about you? What are your thoughts?” Asked Wooyoung.

“Um, we’ve all grown and matured since our debut but our goals haven’t really changed. We were given a lot of different opportunities to learn and experience new things, and I’m really thankful for that. We will keep on growing and maturing as an idol group and as artists, we hope that the fans will continue supporting us in the future.” Said Aeri.

“Of course, she did get to meet her husband during her journey.” Joked Wooyoung.

Aeri flushed and picked at one of her braids shyly and the fans cheered for her. Aeri looked at the crowd hoping to spot Jungkook but she couldn’t find him much to her disappointment.

“Maybe he is still having his schedule.” Sighed Aeri.

Wooyoung continued asking the other members about their thoughts before the talk finally ended and they played a few games with the fans. Again, Aeri looked out for Jungkook in the crowd but she couldn’t stop him. Aeri headed back stage to change her outfit before their solo and collaboration stages. Aeri’s solo stage came last out of all the other performances and she was going to be performing an acoustic piano solo of BTS’ “Converse High”. Aeri’s second outfit remained mostly the same except that she added a black jacket as well as swapping out her platform shoes for a pair of black converse high tops.

Aeri rearranged the song herself with help from 2PM’s Junho, Jun.K and Nichkhun, only leaving out the rap parts as she didn’t how to arrange them because it felt a little strange playing the rap parts on a piano. Initially Aeri had planned to only do a piano solo but Jun.K, Junho and Nichkhun had advised her to also sing along to the song since it wasn’t a fast tempo song and it was a nice song to listen to especially an unplugged version.

Aeri still had plenty of time before her performance so she took the time to calm herself down before the performance by doing a breathing exercise. Aeri finished her breathing exercise just as Mirae popped by to hand her some water and a piece of paper before heading to her performance. Aeri was confused by she read the piece of paper anyway. Aeri pursed her lips as she looked at the paper. Aeri recognised the lyrics, the song “Can’t I Love You” was by her JYP label mates, 2AM. Aeri loved the song and she knew the lyrics by heart. At the top of the paper was s short handwritten message.

Message:

Seomin and Wooyoung oppa will perform this song after your performance.

~Mirae~

Aeri was confused about the sudden addition and change of plans, as she wasn’t informed beforehand. But she guessed that since she was not aware of Wooyoung’s appearance today, she wasn’t told about the change either. Aeri pulled out her phone to check for any messages from Jungkook or her brothers-in-laws, but to her disappointment there was no such message or whatsoever other than a message from Yugyeom, to congratulate her on their fan meeting on behalf of GOT7.

Aeri headed to the wings to prepare for her performance and she soon heard her name on the speakers as Wooyoung was talking about her before introducing her performance. Aeri took a deep breath and she took a seat at the piano, Aeri’s fingers soon started moving and a familiar song was heard. Seconds later, Aeri’s clear and melodic voice was heard singing the lyrics to the song. A sudden accompaniment of voices from the fans soon joined in singing, creating a wonderful harmony, making Aeri smile as she continued singing until the last note.

“Wow that was a wonderful performance by our dearest maknae! Please give her another round of applause!” Spoke Wooyoung.

“Of course, that was not the last performance. We still have one last performance so stay tuned!” Said Wooyoung, with a cheeky grin.

Wooyoung quickly disappeared even before Aeri could even stand up from her seat and say anything. Aeri stood up and made a move to head backstage when a familiar voice resonated throughout the whole hall, causing Aeri to pause her steps. Aeri bit her lower lip as she focused her attention on a figure which was making its way onto the stage. Aeri’s heart thumped in anticipation as the figure got closer to the stage and to her. Aeri felt a tear slip from her eyes when she realised that it was Jungkook. A smile broke onto Aeri’s face as Jungkook walked closer to her with a bouquet of flowers in his left hand and a microphone in his right. Aeri then lifted her own microphone to sing her verse as the fans cheered and squealed at Jungkook’s appearance. Jungkook’s voice harmonised perfectly with Aeri’s as they walked closer to reach other. Aeri couldn’t help but stare at Jungkook as they walked closer to each other. Jungkook and Aeri locked gazes at the last note before Jungkook handed the bouquet of flower to Aeri on one knee. Aeri was surprised by Jungkook’s sudden but romantic action. Aeri took the flowers with a shy smile and Jungkook grinned his famous bunny smile, much to the delight and cheers of the fans, before getting up. Aeri felt her vision blurring up and she soon felt delicate fingers wiping her tears away as her hair was being gently. Aeri looked up and saw that Jungkook was smiling at her while gently her hair.

“The plan worked!” Cheered Juyeon, coming out from backstage with Wooyoung and the other members of Fairies.

“Now that the couple is reunited, shall we have our brother-in-law introduce himself?” Asked Kyuyeon.

Jungkook nodded and gave a bow, “I am Bangtan’s Jungkook, thank you for always taking care of Aeri. And I hope that you’ll continue to support her and us in the future. Thank you.”

“Weren’t you busy?” Asked Aeri, while playing with her braid.

“I actually finished a couple of hours ago. I wanted to surprise you, so I asked Seomin noona for help.” Said Jungkook, gesturing to the older girl.

Seomin grinned triumpantly and gave a peace sign, “Jimin and Taehyung helped Jungkookie plan this. I merely helped them out.”

“He was hiding backstage, watching everything on the screen until it was his turn to appear.” Said Wooyoung.

“Your performance was the best.” Grinned Jungkook.

Aeri froze and she quickly hid behind Wooyoung in embarrassment much to Jungkook, the other members and the fans’ amusement.

“There is no need to be shy, maknae-yah.” Grinned Seomin.

Seomin pulled Aeri to stand beside Jungkook and he gave her a reassuring smile. Aeri gave a shy smile and Jungkook patted her head with a smile.

Wooyoung shook his head before he did the closing, the six members of Fairies took turns to thank their fans, the staff and their friends and families for all their support throughout the years. Jungkook too thanked the fans once again for supporting Aeri and himself, receiving a warm response in response.

“I have another surprise for you.” Spoke Jungkook, when they got off stage.

Aeri blinked confusedly and Jungkook ruffled her hair, “You’ll know in a little while.”

Aeri nodded confusedly before she joined her members to greet the fans outside. Aeri was confused by Jungkook’s words as she greeted the fans outside. After greeting the fans, Aeri went to refresh herself and change out of her costume. Aeri changed into her casual clothes which consisted of a sleeveless white dress with a pair of black jeans and a pair of black sneakers. Aeri then headed back to the waiting room where she found Jungkook waiting for her. Jungkook smiled as soon as she entered the room.

“You look good, come on let’s go. Manager hyung is waiting for us.” Said Jungkook, taking Aeri’s hand.

“Have you told manager oppa?” Asked Aeri.

“I told him earlier and he said that it was fine as long as one of the managers are with us.” Said Jungkook.

“Oppa where are we going?” Asked Aeri.

“You’ll find out in a little while.” Smiled Jungkook.

Jungkook dragged Aeri to the car where their managers were waiting for them.

“If you’d please hyung.” Spoke Jungkook.

Jungkook helped Aeri onto the car with the latter extremely confused about the situation.

“Oppa, where are we going?” Asked Aeri, once again.

“It’s a surprise.” Grinned Jungkook.

The car ride was only a fifteen minute ride before the car stopped. But Jungkook had pulled the small curtains on the car windows so Aeri couldn’t see where they were currently at. Jungkook helped Aeri off the car and he took her hand, and it took her a while to realise that they were at Han River. Aeri was extremely confused as to why Jungkook had brought her here. Jungkook led Aeri to a pavilion, the very pavilion where they first met as a “married couple”. A simple dinner meal of kimchi stew with rice had been laid out on a table and Jungkook helped her take a seat.

“What’s all this? What’s the special occasion?” Asked Aeri, still in awe about everything.

Jungkook scratched his nape shyly, “I just wanted to say thank you for doing so much for me, and I really appreciate it.”

“How did you find the time to prepare all this?” Asked Aeri, feeling her heart get warm and her eyes welling up at the surprise event.

“I got Jin hyung to help me with the food, he advised me while I cooked. The hyungs helped me set this up while I went to meet you.” Said Jungkook.

“It’s just something simple but I hope you like it.” Said Jungkook, while biting his lower lip.

“Let’s eat up.” Smiled Jungkook, handing Aeri a spoon and a set of chopsticks.

Aeri took a sip of the kimchi stew and she let the taste soak . Aeri was genuinely surprised at the delicious taste, it was a little salty but Aeri could tell that it was made with love and effort. Aeri couldn’t help but smile as she tasted the soup.

“This tastes delicious.” Smiled Aeri.

“Really?” Asked Jungkook.

Aeri nodded with a smile, “It may be something simple, but it’s the effort the counts.”

Aeri was genuinely touched by Jungkook’s surprise. He said that he had wanted to cook for her, but she didn’t expect it to be so soon. And Jungkook definitely worked hard to prepare this meal for her. Aeri felt her heart getting warmer and her eyes welling up again.

“You’ve worked hard. Thank you for this meal and surprise.” Said Aeri, letting a tear slip from her eyes.

Aeri let her tears fall before she felt a bunch of delicate fingers wiping away her tears. Aeri looked up and saw Jungkook wiping away her tears with a warm smile. Aeri couldn’t help but smile as well. Aeri’s smile then turned into a shy one when she felt a larger hand on top of hers. Aeri realised that it was Jungkook’s and his delicate hands covered her own smaller hands perfectly. Aeri shyly accepted the spoon of soup that Jungkook had held out to her, as a rush of déjà vu rushed through Aeri’s mind, causing her to remember their first meeting and first meal together.

“It’s just like our first meeting.” Spoke Jungkook.

“Yeah.” Responded Aeri, with a smile.

Dinner was a calm and private affair. Jungkook told her a couple of jokes which made her laugh and she genuinely enjoyed herself on their date. Aeri enjoyed the food too, it was something simple but homely. And the fact that Jungkook worked hard to prepare this meal for her, really touched her.

After dinner, Jungkook and Aeri took a walk along Han River with the beautiful night sky as their backdrop. Jungkook held her hand once again, as they walked along Han River. Aeri shivered slightly as they walked along Han River, Jungkook noticed this and he grabbed her hand, making her stop in her tracks. Aeri stared at Jungkook curiously as the boy reached into his backpack to pull out a bundle. Aeri froze up as Jungkook helped her put on the bundle, making Aeri realise that it was her jacket.

“I brought it from our house, I’d thought that you might feel cold tonight.” Said Jungkook.

Aeri stared at Jungkook with a shy smile before he patted her head. It was nice to see this touching and caring side of Jungkook. Jungkook wasn’t very good at expressing his feelings but to see him caring for her like this made her happy that she was the one he acted like this to. It made her feel special and important.

“I think I’m starting to like Jungkook oppa. He’s very caring and attentive, weather he knows it or not.” Thought Aeri.

“Shall we get going?” Asked Jungkook offering Aeri his arm.

Aeri stared at Jungkook shyly before she nodded. Jungkook smiled and linked their arms before they continued on their way along Han River. Aeri decided to buck up her courage and express her affection like Jungkook did for her earlier. Aeri smiled shyly to herself before she leaned her head on Jungkook’s shoulder, making the boy smile as well.

Aeri and Jungkook strolled along Han River for a little while longer, admiring the stars as they walked. Aeri and Jungkook took a seat on one of the benches and they admired the stars together.

“You must be tired, let’s get back so you can rest.” Said Jungkook.

Aeri hummed softly and Jungkook led her to the car. Jungkook helped Aeri onto the car and they soon headed back to their home. But Aeri didn’t let go of Jungkook’s arm and neither did he protest.

“Oppa.” Spoke Aeri, softly.                       

“Hmm?” Hummed Jungkook.

“Thank you for everything tonight. I loved and enjoyed the meal you made me. I loved and enjoyed our date. I really enjoyed myself tonight.” Said Aeri, softly.

Aeri took Jungkook’s hands and squeezed it tightly before leaning her head on his shoulder.

“No, thank you for making tonight perfect. It was my pleasure to cook you a meal and to take you on a date. I enjoyed myself tonight too.” Spoke Jungkook, softly.

Aeri closed her eyes as she felt Jungkook gently her hair.

“Thank you so much for tonight oppa. I will always remember tonight.” Whispered Aeri.

“I will always remember tonight too, Aerin.” Whispered Jungkook.

“Thank you giving such wonderful memories, Jungkook oppa. I hope that we’ll be able to make more memories together in the future.” Thought Aeri.

Episode 10’s Behind the Cameras (Jungkook’s POV)

Jungkook had woken up that morning feeling refreshed and excited. It has been a while since Jungkook was back at BTS’ dorm. Jungkook was currently preparing for BTS’ comeback and he had been recording the songs and learning the choreography for their title track for the past two days. But the boys had the day off when their manager gave them a day off to rest. And they all agreed to clean up their dorm since it was getting messy. But Jungkook texted Aeri whenever he could, he sent her encouraging texts and funny dubsmash videos and photos to help her smile and today was no different. Jungkook had just sent Aeri an encouraging text, as she was preparing for Fairies’s fan meeting this afternoon.

“Today is their fan meeting isn’t it?” Asked J-Hope, when Jungkook entered the kitchen.

Jungkook nodded and he poured himself a glass of water. J-Hope was washing the dishes from last night while Jin was preparing toast and cereal since they were running low on groceries. Jungkook glanced at the fridge before glancing at Jin. Jungkook awkwardly cleared his throat causing J-Hope and Jin to look at him.

“Hyung, I want to cook a meal for Aerin. Can you help me?” Asked Jungkook, meekly.

Jungkook had thought it through the night before, Aeri has done so much for him and he wanted to return the favour and not to mention that cooking was something that could probably save his life. He couldn’t possibly rely on Jin, his mother and Aeri so much and for so long. And it’s been nearly a month since Jungkook and Aeri met and became a married couple.

Jin and J-Hope shared a look before smiling.

“Alright, you’ll help me cook lunch and I’ll teach you something simple.” Said Jin, with a smile.

“And you will be on grocery shopping duty with me after brunch.” Said J-Hope, smiling.

“I’ll teach you kimchi stew, it’s one of the simplest dishes and we can have that for dinner too. I’ll write you a list after brunch.” Said Jin.

J-Hope gathered all the members for breakfast and they all sat down together. They discussed the chore arrangements while having breakfast.

“Hoseok and Jungkook will be going grocery shopping with manager hyung. Jimin and I will mop the house. Yoongi, Namjoon and Taehyung will do the laundry and clean up the dorm.” Said Jin.

“Today is sister-in-law’s fan meeting isn’t it?” Asked Jimin.

Jungkook nodded and J-Hope laughed. “Jungkook wants to prepare a meal for her.”

“That’s so sweet!” Gushed V.

“What else are you going to do for her?” Asked Rap Monster.

“I’m going to surprise her at the fan meeting, I promised that I would meet her there.” Said Jungkook.

“You should sing a duet with her, your duet with her during your housewarming was pretty good, I’m sure the fans would love to hear your voices in harmony.” Said Suga, with a smile.

“Yeah! That duet was absolutely beautiful, it’s not fair that only we get to hear it. I’m sure that the fans are anticipating a duet between you two.” Said V.

“I can contact Seomin for help, I’m sure that she and their manager won’t mind.” Said Jimin.

“And I know the perfect song for them to sing!” Said Jin.

Jin pulled out his phone and searched for a song and he played it.

“Isn’t this 2AM sunbaenim’s song?” Asked V.

“Yes, but Kim Soo Hyun sunbaenim and IU sunbaenim sang it as an acoustic duet on Dream High.” Said Suga.

“And the lyrics are nice.” Pointed out Rap Monster.

“I’ll text Seomin the details about the surprise.” Said Jimin.

The seven boys started planning for Jungkook’s surprise as they had their brunch. Jungkook planned to surprise Aeri at her fan meeting and sing a surprise duet with her. And after the fan meeting, Jungkook would bring her to Han River for a surprise homemade dinner at the pavilion where they first met as a married couple. Jimin texted Seomin the details and she agreed to the request and so did their manager and company staff. This happened while J-Hope and Jungkook were out grocery shopping.

“Oh, you two are back. Jimin and I are almost done mopping. Put the groceries in the kitchen.” Said Jin.

“I can take over the mopping, you can help Jungkook in the kitchen, Jin hyung. Just let me get changed.” Said J-Hope.

Jin nodded and left the mop by the sofa and he took the bags of groceries from J-Hope before heading into the kitchen with Jungkook. Jin looked through the ingredients before unpacking the bags, keeping those that they did not need at the moment. Jin prepared the ingredients that they needed for Kimchi stew and some other ingredients that he needed to prepare dinner.

Jin guided Jungkook through on how to prepare Kimchi stew and he gave Jungkook’s cooking a thumbs up.

“Try it for yourself.” Said Jin.

Jungkook had a taste of his own cooking and he was pleasantly surprised and pleased and surprised by his own cooking.

“Just let it boil for about another hour or so. You can go to the fan meeting venue, we’ll bring the food down for you. We are helping you set up anyway.” Said Jin, with a smile.

Jungkook picked out his outfit with some help from their stylist whom he got advice from via a phone call. Eventually, Jungkook decided on a red shirt, with black jeans, a black jacket and his infamous timberlands. But Jungkook took a funny dubsmash video to send to Aeri before he went to take a shower before he headed out. The other members wished him good luck before he left.

Jungkook sighed nervously as he sat in the car to their home, Jungkook had to pick up some stuff at their home before heading to the fan meeting venue. Jungkook picked up their jackets which were gifts from their fans, somehow it felt just right to wear or at least bring those jackets when meeting his wife. Jungkook sighed nervously once again as he sat in the car to the venue.

“Don’t be so nervous, Jungkook.” Said his manager.

“It’s my first time going to another artist’s event like this.” Admitted Jungkook.

“But I’m sure that she will be happy to see you.” Said his manager.

“But I lied to her saying that we had a schedule today, when we actually don’t. She’ll probably be mad at me.” Pointed out Jungkook.

“But you scheduled to clean up the dorm with the boys today, that’s counted as a schedule.” Joked his manager.

Jungkook chuckled but he couldn’t help but remain nervous. And his nervousness only heightened when he received a text from Jimin, saying that Seomin had prepared everything and a staff member would explain things to him when he arrived at the venue. Jungkook soon arrived at the venue and one of Fairies’ staff members came out to guide him to the audio room where he could watch the whole fan meeting unseen. Jungkook was also greeted by 2PM’s Wooyoung and Jungkook was nervous about meeting Wooyoung since he and 2PM as a whole were very well respected seniors for BTS.

“Wooyoung will be the MC, and Aeri has been told that Seomin and Wooyoung will sing a duet. But instead of the two of them, you will appear right after Aeri’s performance which is supposed to be the last performance.” Explained the sound director.

“Won’t Aerin suspect anything?” Asked Jungkook.

“Aeri doesn’t know that I’m here as the MC. My appearance is supposed to be a surprise, and so far only Aeri doesn’t know that I’m coming. All of the other members have been informed. And Aeri really likes the song that you chose, she knows the lyrics by heart.” Said Wooyoung.

“Don’t worry, things will be fine.” Said the sound director, with a smile.

“Come on, kiddo. Have a seat and have lunch with me.” Said Wooyoung, with a smile.

Wooyoung patted the seat beside him and Jungkook nervously took a seat next to Wooyoung and the older male handed him a lunchbox.

“H-Hello, sunbaenim.” Said Jungkook, nervously.

“Wooyoung hyung will do. You don’t have to be so formal or nervous with me, Jungkook-shi.” Laughed Wooyoung, good naturedly.

“So, how do you find Aeri?” Asked Wooyoung as he opened up his lunchbox.

Jungkook wasn’t sure how to reply to Wooyoung, sure he liked Aeri, but in what way, he wasn’t sure of. He liked her company and presence but he also liked to see her smile. He never wanted to see her cry, and if she cried he hoped that they would be tears of joy.

“She’s a really nice girl to be with.” Admitted Jungkook.

Wooyoung chuckled, “That’s what almost everyone says. But it takes Aeri a while to come out of her shell since she is shy, but you seem to have overcome that obstacle.”

Jungkook paused in the midst of opening his lunchbox and he blinked confusedly.

“Aeri feels comfortable with you, and I mean it. I’ve known her ever since she joined the company which was some time after I did. She was always shy even back then, and it took her a little while longer than others to become friends with the other trainees. But she eventually came to trust others more, and it seems that she trusts you a lot.” Explained Wooyoung.

“And you seem to be comfortable with Aeri too.” Mused Wooyoung.

“Yugyeom told me that you are pretty shy around girls and seniors in general, but you seem to get along fine with Aeri.” Said Wooyoung.

“I guess it’s because we have the same nickname, ever since we debuted fans have been telling me how I had a female counterpart. And I guess I became interested in her, and we are in the same class too.” Spoke Jungkook.

“I know, Aeri has told me that as well. But I can tell that Aeri really appreciates having you around, even as a fellow classmate and colleague.” Said Wooyoung, with a smile.

Jungkook felt his cheeks flush at the thought of Aeri admitting that she liked him being around her. But Jungkook liked being around her too, her presence made him feel at ease, even when they were in school. It was a little embarrassing to admit it out loud but he liked Aeri being around him, even when they were only classmates and colleagues before they both joined this show.

Jungkook had his lunch quietly while Wooyoung played some songs on the speakers as they had their lunch. And before Jungkook knew it, it was already time for the fan meeting to begin. Aeri had sent him a picture of her outfit for the day and he smiled upon seeing her photo. Jungkook sent an encouraging reply before he turned his attention to the screen which showed the six girls of Fairies were making their way out onto the stage.

Jungkook smiled as he watched as Wooyoung appeared on the stage. Jungkook chuckled at Aeri’s semi-expectant face and her disappointment when she realised that it was only Wooyoung. Jungkook blushed when Wooyoung mentioned his name, and the sound director, his manager and the other staff chuckled at his reaction.

Jungkook groaned at all the jokes and hints that Wooyoung dropped about him as well as he reaction of the fans at the mention of him and his manager chuckled at his embarrassed state. But Jungkook continued watching the fan meeting until his manager called him. Jungkook saw a man with a bouquet of while Cameillas and Carnations. Jungkook had ordered a bouquet of flowers for Aeri earlier. Jungkook paid the man and he went to get ready. The staff handed him a mic and he took his position as he waited for a signal from the staff. Jungkook smiled as he waited, as he heard Aeri singing “Converse High” a song by BTS.

The staff eventually gave Jungkook a signal and he soon heard Wooyoung’s voice over the sound system. Jungkook soon heard music playing and Wooyoung rush past him giving him a wink and thumbs up.

Jungkook took a deep breath and he started singing as he made his way up onto the stage with the flower bouquet in his other hand. Jungkook smiled when he saw Aeri, and he saw her smile brightly as well. The fans began to cheer at his appearance as Jungkook walked closer to Aeri while they sang in harmony. The harmony of their voices was absolutely beautiful. Jungkook was so absorbed into the song and staring at Aeri, he soon realised that they were standing in front of each other. Jungkook smiled and he got down on one knee to hand the bouquet to Aeri as they locked gazes at the last note.

Jungkook’s heart thumped in anticipation as Aeri accepted the bouquet of flowers with a shy smile. Jungkook grinned his famous bunny smile when Aeri’s hand touched his. Aeri helped him up as the fans cheered.

“The plan worked!” Cheered Juyeon, with the other members of Fairies and Wooyoung behind her.

“Now that the couple is reunited, shall we have our brother-in-law introduce himself?” Asked Kyuyeon.

Jungkook nodded and gave a bow, “I am Bangtan’s Jungkook, thank you for always taking care of Aeri. And I hope that you’ll continue to support her and us in the future. Thank you.”

“Weren’t you busy?” Asked Aeri, while playing with her braid.

“I actually finished a couple of hours ago. I wanted to surprise you, so I asked Seomin noona for help.” Said Jungkook, gesturing to the older girl.

Jungkook wasn’t lying anyway, he had finished his chores for the day already.

Seomin grinned triumpantly and gave a peace sign, “Jimin and Taehyung helped Jungkookie plan this. I merely helped them out.”

“He was hiding backstage, watching everything on the screen until it was his turn to appear.” Said Wooyoung.

“Your performance was the best.” Grinned Jungkook.

Aeri froze and she quickly hid behind Wooyoung in embarrassment much to Jungkook, the other members and the fans’ amusement.

“There is no need to be shy, maknae-yah.” Grinned Seomin.

Seomin pulled Aeri to stand beside Jungkook and he gave her a reassuring smile. Aeri gave a shy smile and Jungkook patted her head with a smile. Jungkook stood beside Aeri as she and the other members of Fairies thanked their fans for coming to see them. Wooyoung also gestured to Jungkook to say something as well. And Jungkook thanked the fans for supporting Aeri and himself, with the fans cheering for them.

Jungkook helped Aeri off stage and they headed back stage.

“I have another surprise for you.” Spoke Jungkook, when they got off stage.

Aeri blinked confusedly and Jungkook ruffled her hair, “You’ll know in a little while.”

Aeri nodded confusedly before she joined her members to greet the fans outside. Wooyoung then walked up to Jungkook and ruffled the younger boy’s hair.

“You did great out there.” Spoke Wooyoung.

“Thank you for your help, sunbaenim.” Spoke Jungkook, a little awkwardly.

“There no need to be so formal, just hyung will do. You are part of the family now, technically Bighit and JYP have always been pretty close, and so you are part of the family.” Said Wooyoung.

“Thanks hyung.” Spoke Jungkook.

Jungkook waited for Aeri in the waiting room and he contact his hyungs to ask about their progress.

“Don’t worry, we are almost done setting up. All that’s left is the food, but we’ll wait until you guys are almost here before we set the table.” Said J-Hope, on the phone line.

“Thanks hyung.” Spoke Jungkook.

“It’s nothing, Jungkook. Send us a text when you’re on your way here.” Said J-Hope, before he hung up.

Jungkook took a deep breath and his phone away. And barely a few seconds later, Aeri entered the room in her casual clothes. Aeri was dressed in a white sleeveless dress with black jeans and black sneakers.

“You look good, come on let’s go. Manager hyung is waiting for us.” Said Jungkook, with a smile while taking Aeri’s hand.

“Have you told manager oppa?” Asked Aeri.

“I told him earlier and he said that it was fine as long as one of the managers are with us.” Said Jungkook.

“Oppa where are we going?” Asked Aeri.

“You’ll find out in a little while.” Smiled Jungkook.

Jungkook dragged Aeri to the car where their managers were waiting for them.

“If you’d please hyung.” Spoke Jungkook.

Jungkook helped Aeri onto the car with the latter extremely confused about the situation.

“Oppa, where are we going?” Asked Aeri, once again.

“It’s a surprise.” Grinned Jungkook.

The car ride was only a fifteen minute ride before the car stopped. But Jungkook had pulled the small curtains on the car windows so Aeri couldn’t see where they were currently at. Jungkook helped Aeri off the car and he took her hand. Jungkook mentally chuckled at Aeri’s confused expression before he led her to the pavilion. The very same pavilion where they met as a “married couple”. Jungkook smiled at the sight of a single table in the middle of the pavilion. His hyungs had done a good job in setting up and they have just left, to give them some privacy. A simple dinner meal of kimchi stew with rice had been laid out on a table and Jungkook helped Aeri take a seat.

“What’s the special occasion?” Asked Aeri, still in awe about everything.

Jungkook flushed and he scratched his nape shyly, “I just wanted to say thank you for doing so much for me, and I really appreciate it.”

“How did you find the time to prepare all this?” Asked Aeri.

“I got Jin hyung to help me with the food, he advised me while I cooked. The hyungs helped me set this up while I went to meet you.” Said Jungkook, honestly.

“It’s just something simple but I hope you like it.” Said Jungkook, while biting his lower lip feeling extremely nervous about his wife tasting his cooking.

“Let’s eat up.” Smiled Jungkook, handing Aeri a spoon and a set of chopsticks.

Jungkook could only watch on with nervous eyes as he awaited his wife’s judgement and comments about his cooking. Aeri took a sip of the kimchi stew before she nodded with a smile.

“This tastes delicious.” Smiled Aeri.

“Really?” Asked Jungkook, his eyes shining in excitement.

Aeri nodded with a smile, “It may be something simple, but it’s the effort the counts.”

“You’ve worked hard.” Said Aeri, letting a tear slip from her eyes.

Jungkook inwardly panicked and froze, as it was his first time dealing with a crying girl, much less his wife crying in front of him. Jungkook couldn’t panic now, his wife needed him and his comfort. Jungkook mentally slapped himself before he gently reached out to wipe Aeri’s tears away. Jungkook gave Aeri a warm smile and she returned the smile with one of her own before Jungkook placed his hand on Aeri’s, making the girl smile shyly. Jungkook then used his free hand to feed Aeri some stew, and Aeri accepted the spoon with a shy smile, with both teens feeling a sense of déjà vu.

It was a repeat of their first meeting. Jungkook could vividly remember the time when he first fed his wife. But this time, he was also holding his wife’s hand and it was nearly their one month anniversary, but he felt a much deeper bond with his wife than ever before.

“It’s just like our first meeting.” Spoke Jungkook, with a shy smile.

“Yeah.” Responded Aeri, with a smile.

Dinner was a quiet and simple affair, with Jungkook and Aeri sharing some jokes together. Jungkook showed Aeri a dubsmash video that he recently took with Jimin and V, and the couple laughed at it together. Jungkook and Aeri cleaned up after themselves and

After dinner, Jungkook and Aeri took a walk along Han River with the beautiful night sky as their backdrop. Jungkook noticed that Aeri was shivering as they walked along Han River and he grabbed her hand, which made her stop in her tracks. Aeri stared at Jungkook curiously and confusedly as Jungkook reached into his backpack to pull out a bundle. Jungkook helped Aeri put on the jacket and he could feel her freeze at their close contact and proximity.

“I brought it from our house, I’d thought that you might feel cold tonight.” Said Jungkook.

Jungkook saw that Aeri was smiling at him shyly and he patted her head with a smile.

“Shall we get going?” Asked Jungkook offering Aeri his arm.

Aeri stared and nodded at Jungkook’s question, abet rather shyly. Jungkook smiled and linked their arms before they continued on their way along Han River. Jungkook smiled as they strolled along Han River, in the peaceful night silence. Jungkook smiled shyly to himself, when he felt a weight on his shoulder. Jungkook glanced to his left and at the corner of his eye, he saw that Aeri had leaned her head on his shoulder. It felt nice to be so close to his wife, knowing that she trusted him.

Aeri and Jungkook strolled along Han River for a little while longer, admiring the stars as they walked. Aeri and Jungkook took a seat on one of the benches and they admired the stars together.

“You must be tired, let’s get back so you can rest.” Said Jungkook.

Aeri hummed softly and Jungkook led her to the car. Jungkook helped Aeri onto the car and they soon headed back to their home. But Aeri didn’t let go of Jungkook’s arm and neither did he protest.

“Oppa.” Spoke Aeri, softly.                       

“Hmm?” Hummed Jungkook.

“Thank you for everything tonight. I loved and enjoyed the meal you made me. I loved and enjoyed our date. I really enjoyed myself tonight.” Said Aeri, softly.

Aeri took Jungkook’s hands and squeezed it tightly before leaning her head on his shoulder once again. Jungkook smiled and blushed at their skinship. Jungkook reached out to his wife’s hair gently.

“No, thank you for making tonight perfect. It was my pleasure to cook you a meal and to take you on a date. I enjoyed myself tonight too.” Spoke Jungkook, softly.

“Thank you so much for tonight oppa. I will always remember tonight.” Whispered Aeri.

“I will always remember tonight too, Aerin.” Whispered Jungkook.

“Thank you for helping me make such wonderful and unforgettable memories, Aerin. I want to make more beautiful memories with you in the future.” Thought Jungkook.

Episode 11’s Behind the Cameras (Aeri’s POV)

Aeri was having dinner with her members, back at Fairies’ dorm. It was two days after their fan meeting they were currently on break for the rest of the week. Jungkook was also at BTS’ dorm, as they were preparing for their comeback. Aeri missed Jungkook even though he texted her often, and she didn’t want to stay in their home alone. It made the house seem so big and lonely.

Juyeon had cooked Chinese food for dinner and they six girls had dinner together, their first in a while since Aeri had been living with Jungkook almost a week ago. Aeri missed Jungkook but she also missed her members. Having a meal and chatting like this, was something that Aeri treasured.

“Your husband is so sweet, I envy you, maknae.” Sighed Seomin, dreamily.

“Why not pursue your crush, Seomin?” Asked Mirae, teasingly.

“S-Stop teasing me, unnie!” Pouted Seomin.

Aeri giggled at her unnie’s predicament before her eyes fell to her phone. Aeri shook her head and continued eating her food.

After dinner, Aeri headed to her room to grab her clothes before going to take a shower. Aeri checked her phone for the time before finding a message from an unknown number.

Message:

Aeri, this is Jin oppa. We are having our music video filming for our comeback tomorrow. Do you want to come down and visit Jungkook? We will help you keep your visit a secret from Jungkook.

Aeri smiled to herself, but at the same time she felt a little sad. Jungkook did not tell her that they were filming for their music video tomorrow. Aeri texted a reply to Jin.

Message:

Sure, I’ll come by tomorrow, sometime in the late afternoon. I have a schedule in the late morning and early afternoon. Thanks for the notice and for keeping the secret, Jin oppa.

Aeri soon received a reply and Jin had sent her a rather long text about the timeline of tomorrow’s happenings, and he assured her that all the BTS members except Jungkook and staff would keep her arrival a secret.

Aeri mentally planned to prepare a meal for her husband and her brother-in-laws. She was still unsure on what to prepare. Aeri scrolled through her phone for the pictures that she took of the food that she cooked before. Her eyes soon fixated on the photo of a plate of soba with a bowl of miso soup. It was a family recipe, the miso soup was a recipe of her mother’s and the soba was a recipe of her grandmother’s.

“I can make these two dishes easily tomorrow after our recording.” Thought Aeri.

Aeri made up her mind and she made a list of ingredients that she needed to buy at the supermarket. Aeri smiled to herself and she set down her phone before heading to the bathroom to take a shower.

Aeri picked up her phone after coming out from the shower, and she found a goodnight text from Jungkook and she sent him one in return. Aeri then texted her manager of her plans for tomorrow and he said that he would inform the e Got Married staff about tomorrow’s recording. Aeri smiled to herself and dried her hair before going to sleep.
