Fires and Interventions

It was strange waking up in someone else’s bed, in someone else’s shirt- of which I had borrowed as I hadn’t a change of clothes- yet it was even stranger that the owner of these things was now nowhere to be seen. I sat up, the long green t-shirt cropped at my thighs and sighed; I wanted to have a shower and in any other circumstances I would have done just that however being in another person’s home was unsettling and I was unsure of my boundaries. Instead, I got off the soft king-size bed, re-covered it with its black silk sheets and proceeded to exit the room, assuming Suho would be watching TV or what not, maybe then I could request use of the bathroom. Nevertheless, I was surprised to see Suho in the kitchen when I exited the bedroom, almost as surprised as I was when Kai offered me Tea that time, almost.

“wow.” He cooed as he looked up from the newspaper he was reading.

I smirked, eyes narrowed in confusion as he walked out from behind the counter “what?”

“Nothing, I’ve just never seen a girl in my clothes before.” He smiled, the most sincerely I had ever seen before and placed his hands on my shoulders “It’s nice.”

My eyes got even narrower as he leaned into kiss me. I was dressed in his clothes, in his flat, it his arms! And he was going to kiss me. Kiss me for no reason as Kai or Minji weren’t even around to see it. It seemed awfully similar to a situation of which would be carried out if we were in a real relationship.

“woah, woah, woah!”  I stopped him by pushing my hands against his broad and bare chest, his pecks firm under my palms “what are you doing you?”

He looked at me, confusion across his handsome face, his bed hair only adding to the total perfection “kissing you?”

I raided an I brow “Why? We’re not dating, not really.” I told him, my arms now across my own chest; it wasn’t that I was unhappy without current arrangement, in fact much on the contrary, I was totally fine with the thing we had going, even more so as it meant the possibility of Kai telling Minji to beat it, that is, if he really did like me as Suho said. My only problem was the evolution of the relationship as it seemed to be straying into forbidden territory.

“Yeah, so?” He bit down on his lip seductively as his eyes narrowed predatorily “We can still make out, right?” he casually claimed as he tried once again only to get turned down.

“Whilst I’m wearing your clothes and your-“ I looked over his shoulder and saw red… literally saw flippin’ red as flames began to engulf the kitchen in its entirety! “-burning pancakes? SUHO OMG THE ING KITCHEN IS ON ING FIRE YOU COMPLEATE UTTER !” my profanity wasn’t appreciated

“HEY DON’T TALK TO ME LIKE THAT! YOU WANT HALF YOUR HEAD SHAV- OH YOU’RE RIGHT, OH , OH , OH ING HELL!” My very slow companion caught up and freaked out even more than myself… as if that was even possible, yet seeing as it was his flat that was on fire and his stuff that was about to be melted as easily as a darn flump, it made sense.

“WHAT THE HELL! PUT IT OUT!” I squealed, running towards the door only caring about myself at this moment as the flames raged out of control. Suho’s T-Shirt hitched up my leg, while the angry orange flames had suddenly spread all around the kitchen and threatened to take on the rug under the dining table.

“I CAN’T! I ONLY KNOW HOW TO START FIRES!” He hollered pathetically and ran after me like a little girl frantically fleeing form a bumble bee. “CALL THE POLICE!”

“POLICE! POLICE! WHAT DO YOU WANT THEM TO DO? GIVE THE FLAMES A TICKET?”

He shrugged, “I DON’T KNOW!” and opened the front door hastily “LETS GO GET KAI!”

I nodded in agreement as I disregarded the fact I had no underwear on and legged it down the hall, Suho hot on my tail as the cold morning air nipped at our over exposed skin and left my man in girly wipers. My eyes rolled as we left the flames of his apartment behind and arrived outside my front door. It was open-thank god- and the two of us rushed in, looking for our mutual ‘friend’ of whom we hoped would have more wits about him that the two of us.

“I’ll go get Kai, you call 119!” Suho suggested way more calmly that he had done so before and disappeared into Kia’s room.

“hello? There’s been a fire- the Korean university of fine arts- block 4 room 30- please hurry!”

I hung up the phone and sighed at the mess I now saw around me: beer cans, liquor bottles and even condoms were scattered everywhere leaving me in qualms about having to clear them up. Although, at that moment in time we had bigger problems.

“Woah calm down! You did what?” Kai groggily demanded as Suho dragged him out of him room probably having been woke from his sleep, luckily Minji was nowhere to be seen.

“We Set fire to my apartment!” Suho frantically exclaimed, clearly saying ‘we’ thus depicting myself to have had some fault in it.

Kai was in utter confusion “h-how? You don’t even cook!”

“__________ was round… I was making pancakes.”

I saw green flash in Kai’s eyes and couldn’t help but feel somewhat triumphant, maybe Suho was right, maybe he did like me.

“well you both; I am not getting involved!”

“I remember saying I wasn’t getting involved…”

“But it’s only for a while Kai, until my apartment can be redone!” Suho pleaded, holding a bag of salvageable items from his crisp of a home.

From the sofa, I listened diligently to their conversation having formerly left Suho to sort out the legal business following the fire. I figured it wasn’t my problem as we were strictly platonic and had no love binding us together. I listened to Kai agree to his friend’s plea on the account that he helped with the clean-up, the clean-up of which I planned to escape; I had more important things to sort out.

As Suho entered, looking ironically trampy with a bin bag in his hand, I passed him and exited through the door. “Hey! Where do you think you’re off too?” Kai asked “your boyfriend needs help moving in.”

I dismissed the fact with a shake of my head “just put your stuff in my room.”

For the first time ever Suho obliged without hesitation or arguments and made his way over the flat to my room, seemly, to make himself at home yet that would be in vain as he appeared to have moved in ages ago. All of Kai’s friends had.   Kai rolled his eyes as his friend arrogantly swept the floor. “I don’t know why you put up with him.”

I sneered before walking off “I don’t know why you put up with Minji.” And didn’t stick around long enough to get a reply.

I stood silently outside of Kris’s door with the mind-set that I should at least check up on him, yet with every second that passed it seemed like a more terrible idea. I shrank in my spot imagining what went down last night whilst I was giggling pathetically in Kim Suho’s arms; Kris could have been seriously hurt after all, or- selfishly of me for thinking so- even worse, gone home with some girl. I knew the latter wasn’t allowed to bother me as I hadn’t claimed him or anything yet I couldn’t help but be a tiny bit jealous.

I knocked once. It was soft however I didn’t think I could muster anything more as anxiety over took me. It was rather peculiar considering I wasn’t the nervous type and, in this instant, I wasn’t about to embrace the change.

My whole form shrank even more as the door suddenly opened and Tao greeted me more hostility than I believed he was ever capable of. “Hey.” His voice was abrupt “with all due respect girl, you’ve got to leave.”

I frowned at him “what? Why? I just want to check on Kris.”

Tao looked sorry, like genuinely sorry “it’s for your own good, trust me; you don’t need to see him right now.” The young Chinese tried to close the door yet an unforeseen hand prevented such a thing.

“No, no, Taozi let her in, seeing as she gives a about me now that it’s too late.” The tall Canadian seethed as I set eyes on his bare torso, large purple bruises scattered among his vast form and his face just as discoloured.

“Kris, I’m sorry.” I apologised hurriedly as he carelessly swung the door open and retreated back into the flat, Tao hot on his trail begging him to calm down and what not.

“Save it.” The tall Canadian demanded with a sharp tone and demanding, frantic eyes “Go back to your boyfriend.”

“Please, you know it’s not that simple!” I followed him, begging for forgiveness, begging for anything of the sort; I didn’t want him to hate me, oh god, I didn’t want him to hate me.

“Well, I tell you what. How about I make it that simple?”

I swallowed thickly as Tao ran his hands through his thick, blonde di

I was scrolling through my subscriptions, when I foun this again. This is one of my, or actually probably my first ever story on Exo that I read. This story was back when I was literally just getting into Exo, I remember being confused reading this because I didn't know all the members! Now I'm in love with them lol. But I just wanted. Say that this story is hilarious and amazing. After knowing all the members, I have come to the conclusion that Lay and Chen are my biases, with Lay being my UB. No, looking back while reading this, I can fully enjoy it and his randomness. Thank you for this memory filled story!
