Today Sungjae join his family breakfast, after became an interent in hospital, he only come home two days in a week. When they start their breakfast, suddenly his father bring up about his sister engagement that will be held next week,
“how is the preparations ?, I hope there won’t be any mistakes in D-day”, he said.
“The preparations are completed . Don’t worry dad,” the sister assured her dad. Then suddenly dad start asking Sungjae,
“How about you with your girlfriend?,” Sungjae stop eating, he asked his dad what does he mean by that, “When will you marry her?, ” Sungjae didn't said anything after that, he started eat again, “why? She is not the woman you want to marry?,” his dad asked.
“It's not like that, she is the one..but I don't want to be rush..I think she thought the same,” he replied.
“Did you even asked her about that?,” his sister join the conversation.
“I didn't asked her about that...”
“Then why you said like you already asked her about it..”
“Let’s have talk about it later , I'll get going now...by the way we still have so much time..we still young after all,” he said then goes to his room.
“You don't know when will you get bore with each other ..” his sister said it out loud.
“I'll make her never get bore with me..” he repiled it confidently.
“She live alone like that ..for year..dad just want her doesn’t feel lonely,” his dad replied , it’s makes him stoped what he’s doing. Yeah..it’s already a year since that day,
A year ago:
Sungjae enters Yonsei hospital with Ilhoon next to him, they even brought big bag on their back . Today is their first day as an intern in this hospital, after know the detail about hospital rules and the assignment as intern, they meet their mentor, they go to emergency room , the first place that intern must have experience,
“The four of you will work in emergency room , start from today, ”the senior said to them, after they give response, the senior leave them.
“Jyaa…fighting,” Sungjae said out loud, and the rest just smile to him.
“Your passion is too much Sungjae-yah , we are in the most busy room in the hospital. Don’t put that smile, because start from today we’ll have busy day,” Ilhoon said, his words discourage him.
“Yah..,” he scream to him as his response for his words.
They start their work as intern from today. When there is a patient come, they will handle it. Until the night, a man wear bloody shirt on a bed, he look familiar for Sungjae, Sungjae heard from the nurse that, that man get shooted, he is a detective. Because he feel something about that man, he comes closer to see his face more, when he saw him…his leg became weak,
“Ahjussi…” he said.
“We will operate him to get the bullet, he already lost much blood, intern…go get the blood,” before the doctor finished his words, Sungjae run to blood supply department, “what’s wrong with him..?, I didn’t even finished my words, and he leave like that, does he knows this patient blood type?,” the doctor said.
“Because the patient is someone he know, so I think he know this patient blood type..” Ilhoon who helped the doctor let the doctor know, “Ahjussi, you must strong, Sooyoung will waiting for you..,” Ilhoon said to that patient..he is Sooyoung’s dad. They pushed the bed and go to the operation room, not long after that Sungjae enter the operation room with blood in his hand,
“It’s emergency, because patient already lost so much blood, we’ll start the operation,” the doctor said and start the operation, Sungjae want to come out from the room but the doctor who concentrate at the operation said to him, “intern my stay here, look and learn..”. How can he just look at his girlfriend’s dad, he want to do something..like, call Sooyoung and let her know about her dad condition, or join the operation..Ilhoon rubbing his back,
“Don’t worry, he’ll survive for his daughter..call her when the operation finished..,” he said. The operation end after 2 hours..with a bad result…, Sungjae cried in front of emergency room while Ilhoon try to contact Sooyoung…
“Just come to hospital first.., Yonsei hospital,” he said then end the call, Sungjae just calm himself and sit in front of emergency room,
“You called her?,” he asked to Ilhoon, Ilhoon nodding, “thank you..I feel that I’m really useless..the thing that I do in that room for two hours just look at the operation, without doing anything to help her dad..”
“It’s not like you can help but didn’t help..it’s because we are just an intern and today is our first day..doctor won’t allowed us to join that kind of operation..it’ll be take risk,” Ilhoon tried to calm him down. In thirty minutes, Sooyoung come and find Sungjae sit in front of emergency room, showing her a sad face, Sooyoung wondering what’s wrong with him,
“Why?, what’s wrong?,” she asked while walking closer to him.
“Sooyoung-ah, mianhae..” he said and grab her hand, ”I couldn’t do anything to made him stay beside you..”, Sooyoung still confused about what’s he is talking about, “your dad in there, but..he is not with us anymore, he leave us to rest in the better place..” Sooyoung still couldn’t get it, when he look at her, his eyes watered,
“Why?, did something bad happen to my dad?,” she asked, she sense something bad happen, but still not knowing that it’s that bad. Sungjae grabing her other hand and lead her to the ICU,
“Someone waiting for you there,” he said then Sooyoung followed him from behind, when Sooyoung saw someone lying on the hospital bad, someone she really know, his face look so pale, her body start trembeling when she realized something..he is her dad, the man who have pale face and close his two eyes is her own dad. She want to walk closer, but her body is frozen,
“Is he realy dad?, why my dad lying on there?, why is his face look so pale?,” she asked everything she want to know about that man.
“The detective said that he shoot his head with his own gun..I couldn’t believe it, so I asked them to dig that more..” With trembeling body, she walk little closer to her dad,
“You said that you won’t leave me alone..why you did this now?, you shooted yourself with a gun?, why?, am I doing something that made you mad?,” she asked again. Sungjae look at her from behind, he remember all the words her dad said to him when they went to eat ddobukki last time..

“She said to me that she pround of me, pround of my job, so she want me to be carefull..don’t get hurt…comeback home safely. Because of that words, whenever I do my job, I tried my best not get hurt, if I get hurt, I’ll stay at office, not go home, so she won’t see my wound..she is really precious for me. Because she is my precious daughter, I want someone who I trust to be with her forever, even if I leave her. Would you make a promise with me, because, beside you, I can’t believe the other, although she already had a boyfriend in the future..I don’t think I can’t believe him easly. But, you..different, ” he stop his words, waiting for response from Sungjae, after saw Sungjae noded, he continue, “I want you to became her lover who will stay by her side…I read that..her list if she had a lover..it’s really childish, right?. But, I think you can handle her..with whoever you and she dating now, I hope in the end, both of you will stand next to each other as a couple..” he said while pating Sungjae’s head, “do what she wish if she had a lover…if you have done with those list..you can decided whether you will to marry her or not..” suddenly Sungjae feel that her dad is joking, because he said about marriage so easily, “I’m serious..because my daughter have a bad temper like her parent, maybe you can’t handle her at that time..you can decide not to marry her..but I wish you won’t do that, because although she had bad temper, she is really a sweet child..so I think she can be a good wife to you,” suddenly he feel awkward with this kind of conversation, “take care of her when I’m not around her..” after said that he drink his last glass.

Sungjae still look at Sooyoung who cried endlessly, he walk closer to her then hug her from back,

“You can cry,” that’s the only words he can said, because it’s look like she tried to not crying, “ahjussi..I promise that I’ll take care of her..I promise you..” he said it with soft voice, while Sooyoung crying out loud.

Sungjae walking to the bus stop, he saw Sooyoung who looking for something in her bag,

“What are you doing?,” Sungjae asked while tapping her shoulder, “what are you looking for?,” he asked once again.

“You didn’t bring car?,” without answer his question, she asked another question to him.

“Aigoo…answer my question first…” he protested.

“I’m looking for my bracelet..” she answered then leave him.

“Let’s go together.”

“Why you didn’t bring the car?,” she asked about the car again, “I want to ride car today,” she messege her own leg while walking.

“It’s not even my car, it’s my dad’s car. If I get my own car I’ll give you ride..anywhere anytime you want..it’s on your list, right?ride a car with your boyfriend,” he asked, he already memorized all her list if she had a lover.

“Wah..you remember it?, jjangg..,” she give him her thumb, “I’ll wait for it then..” then smile to him.

His true reason still didn’t purpose to her eventhough they already dating for 5 years is because he still didn’t complete her list. When her list ‘if I had a lover’ didn’t even complete, he won’t ask her to marry him, “I’ll finished her wishes as her lover, then I’ll let her know about my wishes so she can grant it as my wife.. ” he said to himself in his room when his family asked him about marrying her.

“Wish me luck for today?,” she said after take seat in the bus.

“”Why?, because you’ll meet your ex-man?,” he .

“Ahhh..seriouslyy..” his comment make her angry.

“I wish you won’t fall for his charm for the second time,” he said.

“I don’t know if that wish will granted or not..” she tried to too.

“Just focus in your job, your man is working hard in hospital..he’s more charming than that man..” he look so pround of himself.

“What are you saying?, seriously..” she said while shaking her head.

“I’ll became the official doctor start next week..” he said, she then remember that next week is a year of her father death, “we’ll visit your father after my ceremony,” he said then grabs her hand, Sooyoung smile to him, from her face she look so sad, “don’t put that kind of face, your father will be sad.”

Sooyoung get off from the bus first, suddenly Sungjae followed her,

“What are you doing?,” she asked when she know he followed her.

“I want to accompany you until your office,” he said then grabs her hand.

“Why?, you’ll be late later if you accompany me..” she said.

“It’s okay if it’s for my girl.”

“Why are you being so cheesy?, it’s okay, just go, you’ll be late..” Sooyoung tried to released her hand.

“sstt..what are you doing?,” he grabs Sooyoung hand with his other hand, “just stay still..I want your office mate know that you had a boyfriend..handsome boyfriend..”

“They already know about it..just go.”

“Why you keep want me to go?, I want to spend more time with my girl..because I don’t know tonight I have time to spent with you or not..”

“Ah..cheesy Yook..okay, okay..Oppa..” Sungjae smile after heard that.

In the studio, Sooyoung team busy preparing for the photoshoot. The dresses that will be wear by Minhyuk, the shoeses, and then the set that’ll be use for the photoshoot,

“Because the team for this photoshoot is sporty..we’ll use some sport property,” Sooyoung said then give them the sport property such balls..,”what time is it?,” she asked to the maknae of the team.

“11 PM, he already in parking lot, he’ll be here in 10 minutes,” he answered.

“You are the one who will interview him, right?,” she asked, the maknae nodding, “can I see the questions for him?.”

“I’ll do it with Joohyun sunbaenim, Joohyun sunbaenim have it, the list of the questions..” he answered while looking at Sooyoung, “she’ll be here in 10 minutes, she said she pick up Minhyuk-ssi..” he said all the things that she want to know, even without asked.

“Okay..” she just want to know if Joohyun include that damn question, she just afraid that Minhyuk will say something to her team..about their past. Minhyuk come with his manager next to him and Joohyun leading them to change his cloth for the photoshoot, she waved her hand to Sooyoung,

“Why?,” she asked to her when she stand next to her.

“Where is the cloth that will be wear by Minhyuk-ssi for the first photoshoot,” after heard that, Sooyoung bring the cloth..and shoes,

“Here,” Minhyuk smile to her, “I’ll call the beuty team to prepare for the make up,” she said.

“They already waiting in that room, escrot him to that room,” she said then leave Sooyoung with Minhuk and his manager,

“Okay, let’s go..” she said then lead them to that room for make up.

“You didn’t even say hello to me..” he said.

“I already do my greeting last time when we meet in café with your manager..”

“Were our relationship that bad until you do this to me?,” he asked.

“You asked because you didn’t know or you suddenly forget about that day?, after that day, were our relationship getting better?,” she asked with angry tone without looking at his face, “we are here,” Sooyoung open the door for them, “the star come, do the make up now..” she said to the beauty team who already waiting there, “we’ll do photoshoot after you have done your make up, then I’ll leave first,” she bowed to them then leave the room. She still angry because of his question before, then she meet Joohyun, there is something tht she want to ask to her, “can I check the list of questions that you’ll ask to him?.”

“Why?, it’s already confirmed by chief editor, you can’t change it..” she said and ignored Sooyoung.

“I just want to know the questions, I can’t?,” she beg to Joohyun.

“Hmm..you can’t. You can put that property there,” she said to the other staff and really ignored Sooyoung who followed her. She give up because she afraid that Joohyun will suspect her.

In thirty minutes the photoshoot start, Sooyoung looking at him from a far,

“I think he choosed the wrong path,” suddenly someone stand next to her and said that, she is from beauty team, “he has that look, he has that talent as model..why he choosed to be an athlete and it’s football that make him has to deal with sunlight..hmm, such a handsome face..” after heard that Sooyoung just sigh, “why?, you didn’t agree with it?,” she asked.

“It’s his decision, not yours. We’ll do the nest photoshoot,” she said then leave her who looking at her with annoyed face.

Photoshoot is done, Sooyoung helping the other to organizing the property while Joohyun and the maknae of the team interviewing Minhyuk in make up room,

“We’ll start now,” Joohyun said then give the maknae sign to start record, they asked 12 questions to him and that question is include in there as the last question, she change the sentence“for the last question, now, do you have a girlfriend?,” with smile she asked that, Minhyuk smile back to her.

“For now, I don’t have..you want to be the one?,” he asked that with serious face make Joohyun frozen, “haha, sorry for the lame joke.., actually I’m looking for one now..”he’s quiet for seconds, then “I had one when high school, but now, we are not in good term, she never told you about me?,” he suddenly asked that.

“Is she someone I know?, who is she?,” Joohyun asked and Minhyuk smile, the maknae just keep silent and listen carefully,

“She is in your team..I think you know from looking at her behavior when she see me..” he said then Joohyun realized something someone that look awkward whenever she meet Minhyuk,

“Is she that person?,” without said her name, Minhyuk know who she is talking and then nodding as the response.

“Who is she?,” the maknae who didn’t know anything about it asked.

“We had relationship for long time, but then we must break up, I don’t know that we’ll meet again like this..it’s make me happy..and thinking about our past..” The interview is over, maknae who still didn’t get the answer yet keep asked to Joohyun who still in bad state,

“It’s like he he just drop a bomb here..wah..what was that?..,” without answering the maknae’s question she just leave him like that and goes to Sooyoung who already back to the office then hit her back, “yah..why you didn’t Say anything about it..” she asked and makes Sooyoung confused.

“Say about what?, I don’t know what are you talking about..” she said while eating candy. The maknae come, he followed Joohyun who still talking to Sooyoung,

“Who is she, sunbaenim?,” he asked again, “who is that women he was talked?,” after heard that Sooyoung realized something,

“Did that man talked something strange?, why?,” Sooyoung asked.

“Is it you, noonim?,” the maknae asked again, “ah..you two come from the same high school..so you are the one, right?,” Sooyoung close his mouth so he can’t continue his words.

“Ah..I don’t want to talking about it..it’s just the past..it’s over anywhy..” then leave them who still in aww..

“Wah..she was dating him..she is really no joke. She is dating a handsome doctor now and he was dating a football club captian, now her ex became an athlete..a famous one,” Joohyun keep shaking her head, she still in disbelief..

“Wah..what kind of news is it?,” he asked to himself, then the other gather,

“Why..what’s wrong?,” they asked, when the maknae about to open his mouth, Joohyun stop that,

“Just do your work..the deadline is next week, we better do it now..” then they back to their seat.

Sooyoung waiting for Sungjae in restaurant in front of Yonsei hospital, she already ordered food for him,

“Sorry, I came late, just now we have a patient, so..” before Sungjae finshed wat he want to said, Sooyoung give him his food,

“Just eat for now, you look so tired. You must eat a lot you you’ll be stronger,” then smile to him.

“Today work, is that hard?,” he asked after saw that tired face of Sooyoung, “did he said something to you that make you angry?,” she asked once again, “you look annoyed, me or him that made you annoyed?,” he asked once again.

“Eat first, I’ll tell you later about it..” she said then eat her food, “he said to my team aout our past relationship, it’s kind upset me because all the time, the leader of the my team always asked me about it..although I said to her that it’s all happen in the past, I’m not mood to talking about it, but she just said, ‘you really a girl with much fortune’ what’s the meaning of that?, because I were dating that man, it’s make me have a good fortune?, haa” she look really angry.

“Before you date him, you already have good fortune, and you have much fortune after dating me..” she doesn’t know that it’s help her or not to reduced her anger, but she just smile because of it.

“You always like this, just eat..” then they smile to each other.

Not long after that, there is messege for Sungjae, he read it then stale glance at Sooyoung,

“Why?, you must comeback now?,” Sooyoung asked, she is know that he is busy, “just go then..after finish your food,” she said while looking at Sungjae's face, “alright, just go..” she look mad.

“Sorry. Okay, I'll finish my food first..”. It's messege from Yerin, she told him that the court of Sooyoung's dad case will be held next week, she asked permission to bring his patient there. After finish his food, he immedietly call her while walking back to the hospital while Sooyoung looking at him from restaurant,

“Calm down Sooyoung-ah, it's not like this is the first time, right?,” she said to calm herself.

Sungjae meet Yerin at hospital, and they talk about the court,

“We'll be sent her a latter, so one of his family can attend this court, is it okay?,” she said.

“I'll come..don't tell her anything before it's finished with a good result..” he said, “I don't want to see her suffer.., but next week?,” he asked, “next week we'll came to see her dad..then I'll come to the court after that..Thank you,” then leave her.

“Yah..just like that?,” she said out loud.

“Why, you want to talk about something else?, ah..I'll let my patient know about it,” he said, “you want me to buy something for you?,” he asked once again, then she followed him from behind. After bought a glass of hot chocolate for Yerin he leave her to drink alone in the cafe,

“Ah...what am I doing here?,” Yerin look upset.
